Not to bring down everyone but Kara and I wil not be cruisisng with you

There is just no more hope for us to receive Kara's passpport in time for us to even attempt to get there and we were not even going to attempt to chase the ship down by ports

We will get our London/Paris trip in June of 08 and we are now on the 12/27/08 7 night Western cruise

Everyone who is going...not fair for Marla.

I have finally finished packing! What an ordeal, I'm so not used to packing for this many days. I'm sure I won't wear all that I packed but I did feel the need to carry way too much of my wardrobe overseas! Good thing my DH isn't coming....he would be taking half my clothes out telling me there are not necessary! lol Of course when he carries my bags to the car he just might do the same thing. I tried weighing my bigest bag but my scale isn't big enough to get a read without covering the actual numbers. At this point I don't even care.

One more day of work! Fortunately its payday! lol Since I'm the maker the checks I need to be there to get them done...so now you know....not overachiever....maybe I can't say no....but definitely in the workplace....control freak!

My son is busting with excitement but I told him to keep it down since DH isn't joining us and he is short-staffed at work, he doesn't need us rubbing in our good time while he is home working his tail off with no help! I'm trying to get a sandwich shop near his store to deliver him lunch every day while we're away. I just can't find their fax number so I place the order. Might sound simple but seriously, I called them and the kid that answered the phone doesn't know the number and its not on their website...but they supposedly deliver. Even my husband's employees couldn't find it for me....I know they order from there. I'll definitely feel better if he's fed...it's an Italian thing...learned from my Mom!

We leave Raleigh at 7:30 on Friday and arrive in Barcelona at 2:50 pm ...UGGH...I know we will all be sleep walking!!! Hope everyone has a safe trip.

Too funny! As a fellow "inhabitant" of the ghost town I felt like I should pop in here..... We leave from JFK Fri. at 8:01 PM, after we meet there coming from various places, so I guess we may be the last to officially leave?? We won't get to the ship until 2 PM or so Sat., but I'm expecting to be a bit of a zombie after traveling 24 hours....so I'll just hope someone points me in the right direction (maybe Mickey?)!

I think we'll be joining you in the pop-the-eyes open club! We leave maybe Friday @ about 4p out of Philadelphia. It's a tight connection though, if we miss it we're on the 8p flight. If that's delayed any we won the prize for the last ones out! Johnny what did we win? Nothing I think!

Hi there June 16 MedHeaders. We are on the last MedHead cruise, August 8. You seem like a fun and lively group -- will anyone be posting a blog for the rest of us to follow along? There were lots of blogs on the transatlantic crossing and some on the first Med Head, not so much on the one going on right now. I love the blogs, so can you help me live vicariously and let me know if any of your DIS family are posting blogs for the rest of us? We would love to cruise with the rest of you!

We'll do! I think we have some people already blogging.

If we believe what we read the weather looks great while we are away. Naples and Sardinia look very hot with a little bit windy in Marseille. Still could all change by then will take the forecast with me and see how good they are. Palermo is quoted as 31, Naples 35 feels like 45 and Rome 33.

No rain on the forecast from what they are telling us - hope we can believe them but it is usually good at this time of year and we are sailing over the 21st which is the longest day. Worst part of that evenings start getting darker from then on.

Well Bev you beat us. My DSI Auntsue1 and my family leave Pittsburgh Friday at 3:30 p.m. and arrive in Barcelona about 11:55 a.m. Sat. ASSUMING all goes well. I'm so excited but nervous too with the planes transfers. I pray US Airways is running on time for a change!

Of course I'm Still here... somebody had to work today & clean all these tumbleweeds & pick up all the mickey mouse hands! LOL! Just had a long last day @ work. I REALLY got to pack tomorrow morning. I leave for Pittsburgh tomorrow. I'm staying @ the Pittsburgh Airport tomorrow.

We will be arriving Gatwick early Friday and are BA2486 thus suspect we are on the same flight. It is a 737, thus not too many folks. There are three of us, my son is the tallest!

Good morning everyone!

Virgil, I think you are on our flight today out of PHL....anyway....I got a phone call at 3:00 AM this morning from US Air saying the flight is delayed
1 1/2 hours! I guess its best to find out before you leave but did they have to call in the middle of the night! Half scared me to death

I can't believe it's today! Still have to stay focused on work for a few more hours.
