I still haven't gotten the packet from my TA! with my london-barcelona tix. She'd better hurry!

Now that I have a clean house, I need to start looking at what to bring....what's the weather supposed to be like when were there...anyone have an idea? What is that area similiar too over here?

We ordered a pre-paid international phone from an internet site (telestial.com) and it should be here tomorrow. I don't think we can live without a cell phone for two weeks. We need to call a distant cousin while we are in the Florence to see if we can meet up. Weird that both of us will be there at the same time, but still don't know if it will be possible to meet up.

I called Continental so I could get a update on the tickets, and ask them to send a confirmation email because we could not pull them up online. . . I had to ask 4 times over 5 days. I finally get the email, and ONE OF OUR SONS WAS NOT LISTED! They even had a lower total price listed. I called them immediately and they said, oh, it shows up on ours, TRUST US, HE IS THERE.

I called back and finally talked to a supervisor which took care of it all, but what if we had just gone along our merry way and showed up at the airport and he was not listed??

OMG!!!! That would have given me a heart attack too. Wow. Glad you got it figured out though.

PJ, I'm not stressed out at all. Its making me worry that I'm missing something. Someone needs to post their "to do" list so I make sure I've got everything covered. All I need to do is (1) make copies of docs, (2) clean the house, (3) borrow luggage from mother, (4) maybe do a bit more clothes shopping, (5) pack. Easy peasie!!!

Stress and me go hand in hand. I am a very high strung person. So I would actually be worried if I wasn't stressed right now. I know it'll all get done. I don't thinkk you want a copy of my list. Unless things like write term paper and take Lucy (the dog) to Marlene's (my aunt) are on your list.

I was making copies of my passports today and I noticed on the children's passports...do the parents sign where it has signature of bearer or do we print their name and sign ours beside of it? Does anyone know? I called today and they were so busy the recording said to call back at a later time.

When we first got Alyssa's and she did not know how to sign her name, I was told to print her name and then sign mine by it. That was about 4 years ago so I don't know if it's changed or not.

Just checked my airline tix...still good! phew! Selected our meals and saw our seats. They must have known my dd cause we're in the back of the plane. LAST ROW! Jeez! Also, I noticed that we have a 3:45 check in time for a 4:30 flight. I thought I could board later. I hate sitting on a plane for 1/2 hour! Now I have to adjust the time we leave to go to the airport..I'm such a last minute girl. Hate waiting. Just makes me spend money in the airport.

I feel so unprepared for the cruise, because I usually obsessively plan vacations, but with the wedding, I haven't given it much thought until now. So, this weekend I dove into all the guidebooks and websites I've been accumulating but ignoring for the past year.

We had booked a tour for Villefranche, but it wasn't exacly what we wanted: we were just settling. After reading about the port, though, we decided to cancel the tour and do Nice, Eze and Monaco on our own. We have tours booked for Naples, Civitavecchia, and La Spezia, but I still have to figure out Palermo, Olbia and Marseilles. They seem to not be covered sufficiently or at all in my guidebooks, so some online research is called for!

Is that the MadHatters cake????? It's great! There are many of us doing Palermo and Olbia on our own. I haven't had a chance to view all the Disney iPod podcasts on each of the ports, but, the one I have viewed was really informative. I'm hoping to get ideas on those two ports from that. Feel free to hook up with us in these ports. Safety in numbers, I say.

I wouldn't think you'd need a letter as long as you're a parent/guardian, but don't know for sure.

Question - has anyone purchased the flight pillows? If so, what type and where did you get them? I have a friend who bought one from the airport for her return flight from Hawaii. She said it really helped her sleep.

Hi Jodie,
I have the tube shaped pillow with the little beads in it, not the formed one, and found that a rolled up hand towel is much more comfortable. Also, because it is terry cloth, I find that I don't sweat as much whilst sleeping. Something about the material of those little beads, along with body heat and those darned night sweats! Hope this info helps!

Me to do we really have to wait over another week. Wonder if Barcelona will do anything for us or was it perhaps just the first trip over. Be interested to hear from the lst med cruise if they received a welcome. Believe Magic watched the display and then went back out to see for the night - hope they do it for us.

The tour is two hours at Pompeii (self guided - we could arrange for a guide there for an extra 100 Euro but I just printed out Rick Steves self guided walking tour of Pompeii and plan to use it) and then a tour of the Amalfi Coast including Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento and Ravello. Will stop off near Ravello for lunch (not included in tour cost). Total cost is 650 Euro. We'd divide the cost equally so your portion would be 2/7 of that. Let me know!
