Refresh my memory about cell phones...Were some people ordering a phone for international calling?? I will look back on the thread..but if someone remembers please let me know...
Thanks!

We've been told that our (non-GSM) phones will work on the ship, but we'll need to have international service activated. However, we'll be in Paris for several days after the cruise, so we're going to get a GSM phone (I'm not sure if Andy decided to rent it or just buy one) anyway.

Thanks!!! I love your wedding pictures...They are beautiful!! I am trying to get a lot done today...the children get out of school Friday...and I am off work today....I am beginning to stress out about getting everything ready!!:scared1: :scared1:

Thanks Caroline! Good luck getting stuff done. I have to begin the unpack from Disney, wash everything, repack for cruise process soon, myself

Just put a positive spin on being stressed... it means we're getting really close!!! :goodvibes

Time is on our side in England as we are nearly on the same timescale as Magic and it does seem strange to think of that. Normally when I watch the pictures from Pt. Canaveral it is 10.p.m. here.

I posted some info on cingular/att a couple pages back. If you want a discount rate you need to add the international plan 5.99/mo. You can add and then take away w/o penalty.
There really isn't much info on sardinia, but I have a good book on sicilly. I am bringing all my books, so I can loan it to you on the ship, tonight I'll post the name. I think it's a frommers book, but not sure. It's home.

I am ready to start drinking now...but alas, I have to work.

9 days....

I like this. Because I am getting really stressed out!!! So much to do!! (and we still don't have our documents) :rolleyes1 Wonder if I should call. We leave a week from Wednesday.

Hi Princess Jasmine,
We have not received our documents either!!! Hopefully today!!

Disney Lover Linda & myself were shopping in Erie, PA today when we got a call from our TA that she had just received our documents in the mail today. So, we picked them up after lunch! Your right not to much to the documents! But it means we are on our way next week! :dance3:

I called Continental so I could get a update on the tickets, and ask them to send a confirmation email because we could not pull them up online. . . I had to ask 4 times over 5 days. I finally get the email, and ONE OF OUR SONS WAS NOT LISTED! They even had a lower total price listed. I called them immediately and they said, oh, it shows up on ours, TRUST US, HE IS THERE.

I called back and finally talked to a supervisor which took care of it all, but what if we had just gone along our merry way and showed up at the airport and he was not listed?? :scared1:

OK - bought the gifts today - very boring and legal.

Regarding cell phones, I know they can be rented at the airport - not sure what the cost is. We have decided to just do without. We're not very techonologically advanced and can do without a cell phone for a couple of weeks (we decided not to take the laptop either - following the less is more philosophy).

PJ, I'm not stressed out at all. Its making me worry that I'm missing something. Someone needs to post their "to do" list so I make sure I've got everything covered. All I need to do is (1) make copies of docs, (2) clean the house, (3) borrow luggage from mother, (4) maybe do a bit more clothes shopping, (5) pack. Easy peasie!!! :goodvibes

I have another question for everyone, if your traveling without your spouce, do you need a certified letter saying it's ok to travel out of the country without the other parent?

I know Disney doens't need a letter, but will the airport need this?

Does anyone know?

Patricia

I wouldn't think you'd need a letter as long as you're a parent/guardian, but don't know for sure.

Question - has anyone purchased the flight pillows? If so, what type and where did you get them? I have a friend who bought one from the airport for her return flight from Hawaii. She said it really helped her sleep.

Hi Patricia,

I just got off the phone with Continental regarding this question. We are taking a friend of Alyssa's and obviously we are not the parents or legal guardians. Continental told me that traveling to Europe we will be fine and do not need anything but her passport. Even though they told me this, I am going to have the parents notarize a letter saying it is okay for us to take her out of the country and which countries we will be visiting. We usually always do this for medical issues when we take a friend so I am just going to add this information to the letter.

So you should be okay traveling out of the country with your daughter, but it wouldn't hurt to back yourself up with a notarized letter.

I was making copies of my passports today and I noticed on the children's passports...do the parents sign where it has signature of bearer or do we print their name and sign ours beside of it? Does anyone know? I called today and they were so busy the recording said to call back at a later time.

Thanks,
Caroline:confused3 :confused3

Is there anyone out there that is doing your own tour for Rome? We have a tour scheduled but really want to be able to go to the Colosseum as well as the Sistine Chapel. I didn't realize until I started reading back through all the old posts that our tour didn't include both.:scared1: Big oversite on my part. Post or pm me back.
Thanks much.

:scared1: Yes the airport on the day of departure isn't the time to find out your son isn't listed on the ticket! Good catch! You just might have saved yourself ton of time & hassle!
