Ugh! House cleaning! I did a bit of that yesterday, but I'm saving the big house cleaning job until right before we leave so that I don't have to come home to a dirty house (my DH just doesn't understand my need to come home to a clean house after vacation). We just had the house powerwashed, so I am working on the windows, inside and out. FUN!!!

I can't wait to see your gift. Can you give us a hint? I'm so mad that my music gift wouldn't work. My uncreative brain actually came up with something somewhat creative for a change. To do it legally, it would just be too expensive. Oh well! Off to do windows.

Going shopping today to take my mind off the fact that our passports are still not here

We are starting to panic

Passport people are telling me not to worry, but even my congressman isn't having much luck

I was wondering if anyone knew if wearing long shorts that cover the knees would be okay for my DS to wear to the Vatican? I asked our tour guide and he said shoulders and knees must be covered. But than I seen others say no shorts. I am confused.

I cannot believe that we leave on Friday. I guess I need to start packing. It is looking like we did not get our upgrade to 1st class wish. Oh well one can still dream. My DS will be complaining, he is convinced that he will not be able to sleep on the plane.

Wow! How long ago did you apply for your passport? Although I hear the passport office when they know your departure date are pretty good @ getting the passports to you in time. Our fingers are crossed for you!

Can't you go to a federal building and pick up your passport? I was told if you were traveling within two weeks of your travel date you could get your passport in one day. Maybe you should ask your post office about that?

I read in one of the blogs that Europeans don't wear shorts even in very hot weather! They mostly were wearing capris. I like shorts, even if I really don't have the body for them, they are just cooler. Howerver, I think I'll resort to wearing capris when off the ship.

Here is my observation from seeing what my German/Polish Euro kid wears and what he told me. I asked him about Europeans wearing shorts, and he said of course they do--BUT he has shorts and hardly ever wears them, much prefers wearing jeans.

Just my 2 cents.

As for myself,I am also going the Capri route, except I may wear a dress to the Vatican.

Ok, second sea day it is....
Let's plan a meet that afternoon. We have people doing brunch and tea that day. So does a 1:30 afternoon meet sound good? I don't know peoples spa schedules. I am also not familiar with the ship, so anyone have suggestions where to meet. If it's a nice day we could do it on deck otherwise, ??.

I don't know if I can wait that long, I might have to secretly give them out before!

I can't believe that it's right around the corner. I am getting my pounds tomorrow from the british folk and picking up my euro next friday! Passports are in, sorry to hear of the delay for some!

Gotta get back to cleaning...only 2 rooms done, 5 to go...ugh bathroom and kitchen, my least favorite.

This week at work is the best week. Last week of school. Parties everyday. NO homework for the kids. It's so easy. Now to get all of my work done.
