Okay, like you said earlier John don't worry about us. Y'all go on & have a nice trip. No docs yet! I sat outside bored! I don't know maybe I shouldn't try to proposition any UPS truck, Disney Lover Linda said our last ones came from the TA by Fedex.

Maybe I'll try using a genie instead of that "crazy" Silvernac. With any luck my wish will work & he won't !

On ICUnurses blog she clearly explains the VAT, now if you all recall I called DCL and they said there is no VAT. So whats the deal. I guess I will call again and speak to a supervisor!

I spoke with cingular/ATT regarding cell service. I added the international plan (5.99/mo) which makes my calls from Spain, Italy, France and England only (ya right ) .99/min. They said that DCL is NOT contracted with them, but on the docs I received today it says they are...who's right on that one. I asked the guy what that meant and he said that means that DCL can add a surcharge on my phone bill of up to 2.49/min. I guess I will also ask that question to dcl. They CSR from Cingular/ATT told me (this was stated earlier) that you WILL be charged per minute if you have your phone on and don't answer but get a voicemail. SO very important, if you are bringing your phone do not leave it on. Just turn it on to check if you have a message or to make a call. Also, if you have cin/att use it on land only. IMHO

I'm having a precruise garage sale tomorrow...to make more spending money for my trip! Then sunday off to find those blinking bridges!

Thanks for the VAT info & let us know. I also just read Celeste's blog & was wondering too. I also noted her comment about shorts. I might put in more capris & less shorts.

For those of you who didn't read her blog, I guess she has not seen many Europeans in shorts. Even in hot weather. Modesty or because of religious reasons (going in churches) I guess I'll wear capris off the ship.

You are a wealth of information! I was hoping I could text with the DS on the ship but it sounds like that could get mighty expensive. I need to catch up on the blogs, I checked Shiffy's earlier today and it was old. I haven't read Celeste's yet.

If you booked through a TA it might take longer because they will go to the TA first and the TA will then send them to you.

BTW...texting on att/cin was either .50 or .55 per text or min. BUT you have to add the international plan. Sorry I can't remember, I don't use text so I stopped listening when he was explaining it to me. All I heard was BLAH BLAH BLAH

I feel your pain during the last days of school, because I am also a high school librarian. But gratefully, my last days were last week. Besides the last days of school, I got to pack up my office because I'm moving schools and leave for a quick family reunion in Branson, MO. So glad that stress is over. Now to get unpacked at the new school.
My first summer reading will be The Messenger by Daniel Silva.
I also have a 12 yr. old daughter, who is still in Branson with the grandparents. She'll be so spoiled by the time she gets home. I'm sure both of the DD's will talk on their princess thread, so they can get to know each other.

I'm looking for our documents to come tomorrow, but I have no homemade cookies to give the UPS guy - maybe store bought ones if he's lucky.

We booked through Dreams Unlimited and still got our docs today from UPS.

On the VAT and DCL info, we've been watching the DCL video podcasts and it clearly states on there that they will be charging the VAT on the ship and to what it applies. There's also info on there about what needs to be done to qualify for a VAT refund.

Steph, I think the nano's are audio only. The best thing to do is install iTunes on your computer (if you don't already have it), click on iTunes Store over on the left, then in the upper right search box type in "disney cruise" without the quotes. The search should find the Disney Mediterranean Cruise [Adults] album. Within that album are 10 video podcasts. You'll then click on them to download them to your iTunes library where you'll be able to play them on your computer (which is what we've been doing). I hooked my laptop up to our 46" LCD TV so we could all watch the videos together. I only downloaded the podcasts for adults but there are additional ones for Teens and for Kids.

I didn't get my documents either. I suspect I won't for a while (my AAA lady is still mad a me for changing our 2 rooms to a GYT) I will leave her voice mail message on Sunday, when I know she's not there.
Don't feel bad about a gift, you will get mine. Lauren what is your cabin number? They changed mine again to 2543.

Does anyone know the laundry location on the 2nd Deck and many quaters per wash & dryer?

Good Saturday Morning Everyone!

This time next Saturday we will be getting ready to head to the airport for our flight to London.

Jeff - that's great you got your docs yesterday. Did they come from Dreams or straight from DCL? I know usually DCL will send them to the TA and then they will forward them on to the cruiser. My parents got their docs yesterday also. I will have to check with David's parents - they booked through a TA - and see if they got theirs.

Brenda - what's the weather been like in England(London especially) these days? We will be heading that way next Saturday and I'm trying to figure out what I need to pack.

Alyssa's team won their soccer game yesterday, now we have two more today. We could use a little pixie dust - hoping the weather holds so I don't have to sit in the rain.

We had tornadoes here in Iowa yesterday. Luckily they were south and east of us, but we had a lot of rain and the skies were pretty dark for a while.

Off to read the boards before I have to get ready for soccer games. Everyone have a great Saturday!

Welcome Booklover, we are on the north side of Cincinnati in West Chester. Please get your daughter Claire to post on June 16, 2007 Princess Club thread on the Cruise meets or PM with email or IM. The thread just started yesterday and 4 princesses (Katie, Jaclyn, Lauren & Jenna) IM'd each other all night. My daughter, Katie has her last day of school today and a celebratory sleep-over with 6 girls tonight.

My wife has packed 3 suitcases so far for our daughters and herself. They will probably need a 4th suitcase just for shoes. We have the mandatory shoe holder that hangs from the door. Received a voice mail from some French guy -- could hardly understand but I believe it was from BS Transports who are picking us up at CDG airport to take us Disneyland Paris.

LisaTex are you using the same company? What time are you getting picked up on Saturday morning? We are using DCL ground transport from the BCN to the port.

We live right outside of Florence, KY. What small world!!!! Which one of your girls is the 12 year old?

Good Saturday morning everyone!

Last night was the senior prom for my oldest son...those kids looked so nice! The prom was held at a convention center, I guess due to the large class size. The parents put on this after prom which is truly incredible! The them for the after prom was road trip and they decorated different rooms to be various places you would take a road trip too. The boys bathroom looked like Yellowstone national Park....and it looked good! The kids come home from the prom around midnight and shower and change then go back to the school to 6:00 AM. I guess this is to keep the kids off the roads, I know my son was already tired at midnight but he still wasn't home by 5:00 am so I guess he got a second wind. I can't wait until he wakes up so he can tell me all about it....but I think that won't be for a while!

Off to a bridal shower today. Everyone enjoy the day getting all the last minute pretrip things organized
