June 16, 2007 MedHead Cruisers

Thanks so much DVC4US!! I admit - I'm one of those who have walked by and tried to sneak a peak in the Walt or Roy!! We are right across the way - 8032 and silver7 is in 8034 - A nice little corner of Dissers. Thanks again - and good luck on your graduation party planning:)

A meet and greet in the Roy room would be way too good to miss. We'll be there!!! I've always wanted to see what I'm missing!:yay:

Hi Everyone,

Count us in. Myself Patricia DD12 Jenna DMIL Patricia.
DMIL & I have the same first & last name, which should make this cruise very interesting.

Our tour plans are:

Flamenco & Tapas at Spanish Village Barcelona

Exclusive VIP Visit of the Vatican & Highlights of Rome -Civitacchia

A Day on the Farm- Palermo

Coda Cavallo Beach- Olbia

Florence and Pisa- La Spezia

Marseille City Tour- Marseille

Evening Casino Villefranche

Monaco, Monte Carlo and Eze -Villefranche

Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri -Naples

Hi LeiLani - Thank you for the invitation. We will be there, me, DH, DS(8) and DD(6). I,too, have always wanted to see one of the suites. We our in room 8560. I was hoping a little pixie dust would blow our way and we could upgraded to a Cat. 3 but no luck. My DH was probably glad because he did not have to put out any more $$$$.

Lggiee - Another thing to check about the luggage is how many bags you are allowed to check. We are flying on British Airways back to London from Barcelona and are only allowed 1 checked bag no more than 51 lbs per person. If you have extra bags you have to pay extra for them. Just something to keep in mind.

PurtyPat1 - What are you doing for transfers in Barcelona? I saw your post over on Cruise Critic. I still need to figure that out. I have an email out to Angie's Taxi and Barcelona Taxi but I have not heard back from them yet.

I want to book the couples Spa Villa while on the cruise. Do you have to do this once on board? I did not see the option to book it online.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Welcome Back LeiLani!!! Looks like we are doing a few of our tours together - The VIP Vatican and the Pompeii one. I need to post our list - and will in the next few days.

We're right next door in 8532.

Talk to you soon....

Virgil
pirate:

Hey Virgil!

I'll make sure to tell the girls to make lots of noise at night!:rotfl: (Just Kidding :) ) Of course it would be Lauren they would be keeping up and not you and Frances.

It does look like we will be on some excursions together. We may drop the one in Naples though for a private car tour, but not sure yet. Did I read on another post that you guys are doing the "Flamenco & Tapas" tour on embarkation day? David, Brittany, & his parents are doing this also. We will have been in London for 4 days and Barcelona for 2 before we get on the ship so all we want to do that day is relax.

Hey Lisa - that's great we are all in the same area. We should have a party in the stairwell one evening! :lmao: That's what the kids like to do, so I think us adults should join them.:teeth:

DVC4US, Funny, we were just in Virginia Beach last weekend for a race. Its changed a lot in the last 10 years. We love Virginia, but get tired of the humid summers. Good luck with your graduation party planning . . . I say, do it your way - have it in a restaurant!!

Just something to keep in mind.

We just booked the last leg of our flights home. We are flying Ryanair from Paris to Dublin, then Aer Lingus from Dublin to JFK (we're spending a few nights in DL Paris after the cruise.) Their weight restrictions on the luggage is 33 lbs per bag. It will be $10 per 2.2 pounds over 33 lbs!!!!! So now it will be interesting to see how many suitcases I can pack for a 11 night cruise where you have to dress for the ports, the dinners and the formal nights!

LeiLani our room number is #6633, thanks again!

Leilani,

I hope I get assigned a room before the cruise. We are in a guarantee Cat 7 and so far on the website there has been no number assigned. I thought once we got to the 90 day mark people would cancel out and they would assign a room. If we get one before the cruise I'll forward it along.

Off the subject....but did anyone hear about two more people going overboard! Last week there was one and last night two? I've never felt like I was going to fall off my balcony - I don't get it! If this keeps up so they'll be putting netting over the balconies to avoid having knuckle-heads going overboard!

Marie

Did the consumption of adult beverages have anything to do with these incidents?

Marie - no problem about the cabin number. You should have one assigned by the time you get your cruise documents. But if for some reason you don't just call my cabin when you get into yours and let me know the number.

Thanks to everyone who has sent their cabin numbers. I've started a list so I can keep track of everyone.

LeiLani,
Thanks so much for offering to show everyone your room. It will definately be something to remember! Our cabin number is 7067, unless we happened to get upgraded before then. We'll get in touch with you if we do.
I'll be glad to bring some food, wine, etc.popcorn::

Hmmm . . . I'll try to keep it in mind not to have any "fun" on my balcony! Too funny!!

on second thought . . . after being in a stateroom with 2 kids for 11 nights, my hubbie would probably risk going overboard!! -J

DVC4US, my stateroom# is 6048.
