Hey Everybody! Happy Year from our Cruise! I feel like having a party.

(I know those don't go together, but you have to have a pirate at a cruise party!)
We just got back from our roller coaster vacation. We went to Cedar Point in Ohio and rode more coasters than I thought it was possible to ride. I kept thinking, "Okay, this is DS's vacation. Next year, we get to do it MY way!)

We rode one coaster that took us up 310 feet and then dropped us at an 80 degree angle at 90 miles per hour. And this is my son's idea of fun???

After three days of being dropped, turned upside down, zoomed about, and generally abused at high speeds, we went to Washington DC for some "normal" fun. But, that would not last because we were, of course, close to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, where DS introduced me to more coasters that would make me feel like a bobble-headed doll.
My spine / neck / head are almost recovered now, though, and I am looking forward to planning for Europe. Yeah! (DS reminded me, though, that we can STILL plan to go to Alton Towers in England at the end of our cruise "if we want to."

)
In the mean time, I need to get our passports in order and start checking on flights, etc. We'll be flying out of Atlanta, so we won't have as far to go as some of you, but it will still cost a bundle, I think. Oh well, in for a penny, in for a pound, as they say. I think we'll come in a day or so early, though. I'm afraid I'd spend the next year worrying about not making my connections if I didn't. Instead, I can worry about whether or not there will be a room available in Barcelona!
Have a good one, all! I just wanted to check in and say hello.
