June 16 05 3 day Wonder

Thought I'd give this a bump. Does anyone have any son's close to my boys ages...8 and 12?? They are hoping...especially my 12 yr old...to find someone close in age to hang out with in the lab and arcade. We are getting near the 90 day mark!

I have a boy age 8 and a girl age 11. They would like to be able to meet someone also.

Hello Fellow 6/16/05 Cruisers: Is June 16 yet ever going to get here???!!!

DisneyElaine: We took my best friend and goddaughter 2 years ago on the Wonder. Used our DVC points by banking/borrowing. This cruise is a girls only cruise -- no husbands.

Any thoughts about getting together on the Wonder? Although it's a short cruise, it's fun to run into other DISers.

It's great to 'see' you are all going to be on the 16th June cruise with us.
Our kids are older, this holiday is to celebrate Elisa's 21st birthday and Hannah's 18th. We would all love to meet up with you.

With love from the rain-soaked UK,

Elaine, Bryan, Elisa, and Hannah :cool1:

Just found this thread and first post ever. I am taking my sister, two nephews and their families on this Wonder cruise. There are 6 adults and 4 kids. There is a 6 year old boy, 2 9year old girls and a girl that will just turn 11. Everyone but me lives in Florida and we are so excited. It is a family get together. I wanted to do the 4 night but when I tried at the end of Feb. it seemed to be booked if we wanted to be near each other. We are in outside rooms on deck 9 and all so very excited.

Connie

Hello Connskell
Good to meet you. My family is very excited also. I have a boy that is 9 and a girl that is 12 this will be our very first family vacation (we usually go visit family out of state for vacation). We are in Denver where are you?

Hi, I live in NJ just outside of NYC. My sister and one nephew are in Deland Florida and the other nephew lives a bit south of Orlando. I think I am more excited than everyone else. Are you going to DisneyWorld first? They have all been there so we will stay the night before at the Radisson.
Just read my previous post - guess I am nervous - we are on deck 2 - way down but did splurge for outside rooms. Also, guess I booked late and are at 2nd sitting - fine with me and hopefully will work out with the kids. I am use to going away by myself or maybe a friend and rarely make plans more than a month or two ahead. Was amazed could not get the 4 day one.
The kids except for Tommy the 6 year old are close in age. Hope we get to meet.

Connie

Yes we are going to WDW first. We leave here on the 13 and stay 3 night and then go to the boat. All the planning is a bit overwelming, I got the passporter books and they are very helpful. We are not sure what room we are in yet we booked in January for a cat 12 and are hopeing for an upgrade. We are second dining also which is fine for us since we are two hours behind Fl which means 8:30 there would be our regular dinner here. Are you going on any excursions on the islands? We are not we are planning on going to the straw market and basicly exploring stuff, and snorkling. My kids have never been out of the country so the cultural experience is exciting.

Hi, One nephew called last night. I sent him the stuff on excursions. They may do one in Nassau but not sure what to do. I think my sister and I may walk around a bit and hang out at the adult pool.
I think my nephews are going to register the kids for those "camps". John said if they do not like it can drop out so maybe you should consider that. They can go to them at night if your husband and you want to dance or something.
Take care, Connie

Hi! I just found this site today. We are going to be on the June 16 cruise. We is Me, my husband, my 12yo daughter and my 5yo son. Tammy and Connie - it would be great if we could connect because my daughter tends to be shy and would love knowing there are other girls her age around! My son is the opposite and makes friends with everyone, but it's nice you have a boy along close to my son's age, too Connie.

Does anyone have any info about differences in the catamaran snorkeling at Nassau compared to Castaway Cay? I'm debating both, but leaning toward the Disney one because we've never been to Nassau.

We'll be in Orlando 2 months from today!!! :cool1:

Tammy- Last time we were at WDW we ate dinner at the Crystal Palace (within the Magic Kingdom). It is buffet style, but my husband still says that was the best prime rib he has ever eaten. They did have the Pooh characters which probably won't impress your kids, but if it's the first WDW trip, they might just surprise you! You will need reservations.

That would be great if your girls could hook up. I plan on enrolling both of my kids int he kids program but I am not sure how much they will want to be there. Does your girl have an email address mine would love to convers with her. She is regist on this site but I am not sure what her user name is. PM me her email address if you would like for them to chat. Thanks for the tip on the dining we will definitly go there.

We would have loved to meet with you and your family but we will not be at our hotel until probably 7:00 or so. We are staying at the CBR but hour plan does not land until 5:00 or so. Sorry....
Tammy

tammy--Spectromagic is at 9 pm... :goodvibes This is one parade i've been wanting to see for awhile...

Keep that lime green ribbon on at all times.. :wave2:

Hi! Just found this thread. We will be doing the land/sea package with the 3 day cruise on June 16. DS6 would love to meet some other kids. He is big for his age and plays well with older boys and is gentle with younger kids too. We will be on deck six aft and at the Poly prior to the cruise. PM me is you are interested in getting together!

We got our room assignment about a week ago.... deck 6 about mid-ship. Only 6.5 weeks until we set sail! We're getting pretty excited here!

Hi, Have not looked at this site for a while so nice to know there are some others on the June 16. It would be nice if the kids to meet. Tommy is six and I think he might be the shy one. There is an 11 1/2 girl who I believe is outgoing. (I have never met my one nephews family so do not know too much about Lindsay - this is a real family reunion or I should say get together.) We are on deck 2 in an outside room. Maybe we can meet somewhere.

I understand the snorkling is not that great in CC but sure the kids will have fun. One nephew is going on the catamaran in Nassau as of know. The other with the 6 year old is going to look at stingrays - ugh.

Mary or anyone, any idea where we could meet.

Connie

It looks like a lot of 5-6yo boys and 11-12yo girls!
Tammy's and my DD have emailed a couple times. My DD is rather shy and feels better knowing there will be other girls her age there (did she really think there wouldn't be another 12yo girl on the whole ship!)
My 5yo son is the extreme opposite - a real social butterfly! It would be great if our girls and boys could hook up so they had a friend in the kid's program. Where to meet???? We may just have to exchange room numbers and connect that way.

Mary

Would love to meet up with you guys...
We are doing the Stingray Excursion in Nassau..Not sure of the time though??
I guess they run several different times on them...

An easy way to find each other would be to put the magnetic thing or whatever it is on the door...Make sure you also wear lime green ribbons...

We are going to be at AKL for the land part and on deck 6(I think) on the Wonder..Our room number starts with 6..First time cruiser... :goodvibes

Our Land portion is really busy but if anyone wants to meet up please PM me..
