We would be up for that. How exactly does that work? Do the same rules apply as with any other time at Palo? When were you thinking of doing this?

Basically I have to be one of the first people on board on the 15th (which I plan on anyway). I would need to know how many people we have and there stateroom numbers.

My goal is to get a brunch time.

There is a min of 12 and a max of 14.

Everything else is still the same....$15pp, dining experience the same, it is just in there private room of Palo.

Gotcha! Thats great since I wanted to try their brunch. Two for sure (me and my DH) and I think you have our stateroom number already I'll check with the rest of the family if you dont get your other 12 (just dont want to take it all up especially since our family doesn't always make decisions quickly haha

djdj456...your magnets are just terrific...how'd you make them? Were they pins to start? Gosh, if they're from paper or magnet paper, you cut them out so perfectly! Another idea that I read on the boards that I thought was cute was to go to, I think it's Lowe's and get the Disney paint color chips 'cause they're shaped like Mickey's head , stick a bit of magnet to the pack and poof, a Mickey magnet. Saw a pic (can't remember what thread) that had them grouped like a bunch of balloons....so cute

I've seen the Disney Paint color at Home Depot as well.

I wanted to check and see if anyone is interested in doing a group at Palo. We would need a minimum of 12 people to do it. It would be fun to have a DIS Meet in the private room at Palo.

Thanks! I did it in a terribly time consuming way ....I got pictures off the internet of pins, cut them out (and begged my husband to help! and he kept telling me that he's passing pre-school with his amazing cutting skills lol), then laminated them so they didn't get messed up and we could keep them for the future (and add to them for future trips and special occasions!) and then cut them out again and finished by putting a magnet on the back. Not easy but at least they turned out well so I can tell myself that!!

I couldn't resist! Ugh, we watch the Dodgers games just to catch a glimpse of Torre ....you guys don't know how lucky you are At least he's not a Red Sox fan...that would be harder to handle

Thanks! I did it in a terribly time consuming way ....I got pictures off the internet of pins, cut them out (and begged my husband to help! and he kept telling me that he's passing pre-school with his amazing cutting skills lol), then laminated them so they didn't get messed up and we could keep them for the future (and add to them for future trips and special occasions!) and then cut them out again and finished by putting a magnet on the back. just booked excursions today-- so excited that we got outdoor adventures in puerto vallarta! we're also doing beach buggy in cabo. anyone know if the mazatlan beach trips really are full?

Tried to book a shore excursion in Cabo but of the 3 times available, there is only 1 slot per time and I need it for 3 people. Called DCL and no help there. I guess I should just go to guest services when I get to port and get on a waiting list, right? Anybody know what the odds are of getting the shore excursion or should I prepare the kids for disappointment?

Also, when I did call DCL and requested the PLLAPLA seating, she said that all rotations are subject to change as well as when formal and semi formal night will be. So I asked her to put in the rotation request anyway and she said she couldn't.

Getting excited but also frustrated since I'm a big planner and I hate having to wait to find out if I'll get any of my requests like cabin assignment, shore excursions, dinner rotation & time.....guess this is to teach me patience!

Sounds like you has a really bad cast member....it happens. Just call back and speak to someone else. Do you have early or late seating? Either request 6 or 8:30 that will get you PLLAPLA.

I'm trying to book the Dolphin Swim, ages 5 +. My son and I did this in April and he loved it. Showed his cousin the pictures and now this is the only thing she really wants to do and they only have 1 spot open on the 3 timeslots available. If you are having trouble do not even mention PLLAPLA. They only offer it at 6:00. At 5:30 and 5:45 they offer other rotations. So if you request 6 then you will be able to get what you want (if they fulfill the request).

Did you see my post about the Dolphin program we are going in Puerto Vallarta. I am excited about it and it is much cheaper then through DCL.

I only booked one excusion. We are going to do the Canopy Tour in PV. I figured we wait till we get on the ship to let my wife pick what she wants to do in the other ports. We talked about doing the canopy tour on Royal Caribbean so I know I am safe with that one.

She is getting really excited about taking the RC Cruise, every time she talks about it I just smile. It's so hard to keep the secret. Part of me thinks she is going to be mad at me for not telling her since she thinks we are planning for the RC Cruise.

I haven't requested a dinning rotation other than late setting. I figured we would just take what we get, especially since you don't really have that choice on RC.

I hate surprises so I know I would rather know.....BUT with that being said....as long as you do everything that you need to ahead of time I am sure she will love it! Just by being on these boards and finding out all that DCL has to offer will help make a great vacation that your wife will LOVE!!!

AirTita, I can totally understand your frustration with calling Disney about excursions. I spent over 3 hours on the phone with them trying to figure out how to add my brother to our excursion (he's under 18). I called the first time and got someone who was awful, so much so that I wrote Disney and complained. Then my husband called a second time and although we got someone much nicer they still couldn't help us So here's what we discovered: 1 - Their computer system is the only way to book excursions and its awful and all the begging and going higher up on the chain will not get you any help from a cast member as they have no ability to book excursions (apparently they used to but that ability has been taken away from them). 2 - When booking children you must also book an adult with them. Even if an adult in the party is already on the reservation and you try to add a child (online) it will not let you. Now keep in mind that it doesn't tell you what the error is it just tells you there is an error so you have to figure it out yourself and the cast members didn't tell us this 3 - Excursions change all the time on the ship and they have more ability to change and do things than anyone else. I too am a planner and hate to wait but I think if you get on the ship early you'll be able to talk to someone that can actually help you and you'll avoid lines. If you wait until 1 or 2 you'll be in line forever trying to make it work. However, at the end of the day, if you're looking at dolphin adventures it sounds like Brooklyn has found a great option that would be worth looking into.

Sorry you're having so much trouble with them, but I can assure you it is SO much better once you're on the ship. The customer service before hand is so sub-par to what you expect from Disney, but on the ship its exactly what you'd expect.
