June 10th LIVE FROM THE MAGIC

hey kim

are you kidding - you better post - each day - otherwise, I'll see you in the hallways and bless you out

AND, KIM, the thread is not "mine" IT IS EVERYONE'S - INCLUDING YOU
LOVE IT when I see you guys posting

PS - Kim and I are having Brunch on Thursday -

Went to the Member's meeting this morning - got there late but 3Dan's wife, Angela, won a beautiful beach towel -

GO ANGELA

The ship is going at a pretty good speed - up on deck it is very breezy (I would say very very windy) but I love to go out anyways -

two new pin releases are coming out tonight on the pin cart - can't wait to see them - I have been out of the loop on pins for many months and the "fever" is trying to come back - self control - self control :lmao:

My son is collecting the diecast cars from the Cars movie. We are sailing on the 6/24 double dip; can you tell me if these cars are being sold onboard?
Rebecca

so far I haven't see any of the diecast cars - I"ll keep an eye out and ask about them

What is DIS?
Sounds like you all meet on board?

Hi

call me in room 6147 and I'll give you some info, if you wish

went to the auction onboard and several of our DISers won art work and/or other gifts that were given out

Looks sort of gloomy outside - like it might rain - actually been doing so much today, it's time for a short nap before getting ready for Formal Night.

Every where I turn I run into part of our family (DISers) and what a nice feeling to know so many cruising together

Hello Everyone!!!!

E&BMom: I can't belive that I'm about to say this but, guess who this is???? Well, if you guess your DD's best buddy :chat: then you were correct!!!!! :cool1: Tell everyone that I have read ssssooooooooo much about hello from me in person :wave2: I hope that you are all having a great time under the sun! :sunny:

I'm crusing next week. So that call would be a bit expensive.

Just curious. :rotfl:

What ship are you sailing on next week?

Lisa

Six days till I feel the "Magic." pixiedust:

Tropical storm Alberto is located about 400 miles west of Key West, Florida. The storm has winds of 50 mph, mainly in thunderstorms. It is moving toward the northwest. The most likely track is slowly toward the north, then northeast across central Florida early in the upcoming week. Probably why you're seeing clouds but probably not a problem.

would you mind picking me up one of the new pins, the mickey one, i will buy it or trade you 1 i have from a prev cruise,

checking in from the DISNEY MAGIC - another beautiful day at sea

Had Brunch at Palos with friends while part of our group was invited to the Bridge with Captain Thorne to blow the Mickey Horn

When I returned from dinner last evening there was an invitation in our room to meet the Captain on the Bridge on Thursday at 12 Noon

Another Mickey Horn to be blown at that time. Was a very nice surprise to be waiting for us.

Twice charmed is playing at 2 pm and we will be seeing it then instead of this evening - too many activities to be attending in the evening to see it then

Some other DIS'ers to be checking in later to let you know of their activities

Our Character Breakfast yesterday morning was awesome also. Many pictures taken and decisions on which ones to purchase

Our internet was down most of yesterday afternoon and in the evening and even into this morning - so we were not able to check in

How is the weather? Are you being affected by the storm at all?

the weather is absolutely beautiful - just windy but we notice anything else unusual

Just got back from seeing Twice Charmed - excellent show - a must see

CARS is being shown 3 times onboard tomorrow

Sure the theatre will be filled to capacity each show

All the children onboard are thrilled to be able to see it

Who is Capt Thorne? Is he new?

Is this cruise a Western? What ports are you visiting?

I thought they only allowed people on the Bridge on port days....when did that change? Never heard of them blowing the horn out at sea. But I think they should do bridge tours more often, that way more people could go. Never did see the sense in only doing it in port, but I guess that way, no one can "hijack" the ship.

the Mickey Horn was blown today at Noon also and we were, of course, at Sea - it will be blown also on Thursday at Noon (I am doing that one), as we proceed to navigate our course to CC - The person who blew it today was from our party also - who just turned 100 yo - the photo crew was there and it was awesome - I was very excited to be invited to go once again, as I did it twice last year.

We celebrated her 100th birthday in Luminere's and the head chef came out along with the Captain and Rachel and others and the whole dining room was stopped and we sang HB to our wonderful lady - I will be posting a pic of other cake they made when I return home

The storm apparently is going away from us and doesn't seem to change our course at all - that is a blessing in itself

The group of DIS'ers on this cruise is absolutely awesome -

Just curious about the weather in the ocean currently. My children (12 & 9) are on the Wonder right now. They are with my Mother in Law, their Nana. I'm sure they are having a blast but my husband and I can't help but be a little anxious especially because we can't talk to them until they embark on Thurs. Thanks for putting me at ease. :sad2:

tried docking (aft first) in St. Marten this a.m. and couldn't. Very, very windy and overcast and raining sporadically - finally Cpt. docked in forward and weather has calmed down considerably.

All the water tours were cancelled but the bus tours are a go.

So probably many people will stay onboard.

CARS is playing today and I am sure the Walt Disney Theatre will be packed, especially for the 2 pm showing

Thanks for taking the time to post! You know how we DISers LIVE for these LIVE reports! Sounds like you all are having a great time - enjoy the rest of your trip.

Kay can't wait to see you guys Sat. at WDW! Glad you are having a great time!

Is Daniel (the head dining room guy) on board? If he is, tell him I said hi. I can't imagine he will ever forget our group from the PC cruise. Tell him "Linda the scrapbooker that pinned you on Pirate night and gave you a pirate name and had you join the grass skirt fraternity!" It sounds like you are at "our" table 23!

Tell Daniel we will all be on the repo next May and can he get me a location for my next scrapbook class!

Thanks!

See you soon.

Linda
