June 10, 2012 Dream 5-Night Double-Dip

Welcome, lgauer! What are your kids' ages? I'll add you all to the roll call on the first post.

This is our first cruise too, so I've been reading these boards for over a year now! I love researching.

I'm so excited to be part of the FE. We're in cabin 7566. It's my DH (Bruce), and two granddaughters -- Lucy (8) and Sarai (9) and me.

Can't wait!

Nancy

Hi Everyone-

we are DVC members who are booked on the June 10th cruise. Our children will be 7, 5, and 2 on this cruise.. :) We've been on 3 others (2-7 nights and a 4 night)...

Super excited!!! Can't wait to do the FE's with everyone (that will be our first time).. :)

Hi-

Does anyone have any idea when the sign-up for the fish extenders will occur?? We missed it just by days on our last cruise, so I want to make sure I don't goof up again.. :)

Merry Christmas, everyone!!

Welcome ChristineIndy! Please give me your roll call information and I will add it to the first post. Also, please join us on the Facebook group, "June 2012 Dreamers".

About the Fish Extender Exchange group...I don't think we've started the official list yet or named the cut-off date. Has anyone done this before on a previous cruise and have any recommendations? Do we start a new thread for the FE, or an e-mail group, or what?

Also, when should the cut-off be? 60 days prior to our sail date? (in case people are making things to give away?) Please feel free to chime in on this.

Thanks!

I see that you got most of my information.. I will be traveling with my DH, DS (7), DD (5--> almost 6 on cruise), and DD (2)... :) What other information do you want???

I added your info to the first post. Our kids are very similar in age! My DS will be turning 8 just a few days before the cruise, my other DS will be almost 5 and my DD will be almost 2.

That's great!! We'll have to see if we can hook the kids up. On our last cruise, we met a great family from Connecticut.. Our kids played the entire cruise and still stay in contact via SKYPE.. It's really very awesome..

I've done FE for our last 3 cruises and had fun each time! First, we need a volunteer, someone who will keep the FE list. I like the idea that you have a list going on of all the Dis families that are cruising with us. The FE list will be similar to that, with info on the number of people in each room and the ages of children, along with the room number. Does anyone want to volunteer to start the FE list? All you have to do is add new families to the list as they sign up. We do need to come up with a cut-off date, maybe a month or so before the cruise? Some families order their gifts and need to know how much of an item to order so the cut-off date helps.

So, who would like the be the list keeper???? Anyone want to volunteer?

Hi Everybody! We just got our cruise booked and already can't wait! Our very first cruise was on the Disney Dream Christmas cruise a few weeks ago and we are so excited to go again! We will be celebrating our 17 year wedding anniversary (June 3) and our second daughter, Ashley's birthday -- she'll be 13 on June 7th (big teenager!). And we would love to participate in the FE group!

Here's my info:

skoch: Me, DH, DD14, DD13, DD11, DS6

In our last extender, someone used Google Docs to create a spreadsheet for keeping everyone's info that was participating and new people could just enter their information directly (name, cabin number, kids names/ages and any special events/favorite characters or food allergies, etc). Hope that helps!

Can't wait to meet everyone!:cool1:

Hi, can anyone point me to a link that shows the dining rotations & nightly dinner events (Pirate night, etc) for this 5 night? I'm trying to decide which night to try to get for Palo.

Thanks, can't wait!

I can't find a link, but last summer there were navigators posted for the 5-nights. They were different depending on what day they departed (Sunday vs. Thursday).

I think if my memory serves me correct, our pirate night is on the 3rd night (Nassau night). 1st night was a comedian act, 2nd night a show, 3rd night pirate night, 4th night another show (and semi-formal night), and 5th night a Till We Meet Again show/dinner.

I guess it could all change for ours, though!

I'd be happy to get a FE Thread started and keep the list, but don't want to step on anyone toes (or duplicate effort) if someone is already working on it. :) Is May 1st too late for a cut-off? Maybe mid-April?:confused3

YAY skoch! I think it's all yours! Thank you for taking this on!

I'd vote for a mid-April cut-off or even early April (like maybe 2 months prior to sail date) in case people are personalizing things. I'm interested to see who signs up for the FE because some of the people on the roll call in post #1 haven't checked in for a while...not sure who's still on our cruise!
