Hi everyone!!
I haven't had computer access at school, so that is why I have been MIA.
I am getting ready to finish up the day and head to the workman's comp. doctor. I went to sit on one of the old rickety chairs I have in my class, on Monday afternoon and it collapsed. The chair back struck me square on the back of my head/neck. It has really been hurting, so I am going to get it checked out. They couldn't find a sub for me, so I have been sitting quiety waiting for the day to go by, finally it is almost finished.
We did have some rocking and rolling on Friday. It woke us up and then I felt the second quake while I was at school in my class at the Zoo. Don't think I want to be at the zoo if a bad earthquake hit.... lions and tigers and bears oh my!
I realized I never shared much about my cruise. My head isn't into my work reports right now, so let me share a little bit.
We went on the
RCCL Voyager with 2 other families from our church/school. We had a jr. suite- loved it!!! It was really neat to have so much room, a great balconey and a tub!! It was a bit rocky for the first couple of days, but settled down. Girls loved the Ocean Adventure Club. We didn't disembark in Cozume, been there, done that. We did have a private guide in Roatan. Loved it! A couple highlights of the trip were: playing with a spider monkey- he was so soft and gentle and visiting a school there. I took pencils, pens, crayons, rulers, erasers... to them. The guide directed us to give each student only one crayon. They rushed me to get theirs. They had nothing. It was very eye opening. The girls were very moved by this and want to get more supplies to send to them. The ship was beautiful, the food was very good and the entertainment was good too. The ship is very big. ot sure what I think about that. We watched the ice skating show, never made it to the parades in the center promenade though. The girls enjoyed rock climbing, putt putt golf, roller blading and swimming. Maura even did a Jr. PADI scuba diving class one of the days we were on the ship. Our last port for Progresso/Merida, Mexico. We went with one of the other couples we were with on a bus ride to Merida. It was beautiful and full of history. Our other friends went on a tour that took them to the cenotes ( water caverns caused by caves) to go swimming and had a wonderful time too. All in all it was a great trip. I think Cozumel is just to touristy... I really enjoyed the freshness of the other 2 ports.
Okay, off to the doctor now, students will be heading home and so will I. Have a great rest of the week!
