No I really I am not. I do like Pirate night on the cruise Though. I like the costumes and all that to. The funny thing is my son works at a mover theater here and I could go for free. Oh Well!

Hello Everyone!
First Sandy thanks for the information on the Best Western on the Harbor. I called tonight and booked my room for the 31st of May. The night before the cruise. As you said they have the free shuttle to the Port. We just have to take a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. So that is all set. As I have said before I am a planner. On the way back to the airport I will book DCL bus so I don’t have to worry about the luggage.
Any one else up for the night before at the Best Western? We could have a mini Meet.

You're welcome... we haven't decided if we are going up the night before or not... but we would love to stay there again as it was not expensive and you can see the ship when it comes in. I'll run it by DH and all our other shipmates. I'll let you know if we are in for the meet.

All the cruise we have been on we took DCL transportation so we did not have to worry about the luggage. So when you get to port what do you do with it. My DH goes take it easy we have time to find out.

I know what you mean about DCL transportation and your luggage..
I LOVE it... BEST thing EVER invented.

Out here, the shuttle takes you right to where you drop off your luggage... just like at the airport when you get dropped off at the curb, same thing here... there are a bunch of Disney people there and they check to make sure you have your tags on each bag and they take it away and you don't see it again until it is in your room. ...sweet. Then you enter the terminal and get checked in... you know the rest... you hang around until time to board... chat with the other DISers and pace back and forth until time to go.

See we have more in comon then just Disney. I think I drive him and my son crazy wit that. But then after being married to my DH for 25+ yeasrs he just shakes his head.
I am getting so excited . DId you see the counters are at 11 months, weeks and days.

Good Morning Flo!

You would think that after 37 years of marriage my DH would be used to my antics....
but to this day, he is still amazed, shocked and confused by the things I do...
But he is WONDERFUL and I would not trade him in for anything.
He may jump and shout, but he always goes along with everything I do... he usually manages to enjoy himself inspite of himself and when he doesn't, I remind him that it was his choice to do so.

And YESSSSSSSSS, I saw the counters... I'm freaking out here... I've already started shopping for MORE pirate stuff... I already bought "my" pirate outfit... and can't wait to wear it... I'll probably change it by the time the cruise rolls around next year, but at least I have a new one for now.

OH... one more thing about the terminal here in LA....

Unlike Florida where Disney built the terminal for their own exclusive use... the one here in LA isn't a Disney terminal "per se"...

There are a few Disney related items schrewn about for you to get the feel of Disney... some huge blow-ups and nice plant arrangements... but for the most part, NOTHING like Florida. My first cruise was out of LA... so I was thrilled to be there and thought everything looked great... little did I know, anyway, I was so excited to be there and wanted to take pictures of EVERYthing and posed my family next to anything Disney and was promptly surrounded by security... you see, you are NOT allowed to take pictures inside! I and several other people were shocked!... how can they put up Disney stuff and expect people NOT to take a picture of it?!... that's like leaving a kid in Toys-R-Us and telling him NOT to touch anything.
Anyway, the security people promptly pointed out that there are signs posted EVERYwhere telling you "NO Photography allowed and your camera will be confiscated!"
I started to argue, but don't like to start trouble and especially with anything Disney related as I know they are right (right?!) ... so of course I put away my camera, ... until the security people left and then I snuck a few more pictures... I even took a picture of the sign.
How they expect people to go on a cruise like this and NOT take pictures is beyond me...

I started looking for the Best Western to book our rooms...
and I can't find the one we stayed at!
Which Best Western did you book?
Was it in San Pedro just across from the World Cruise Center?
If so, PLEASE give me that info.
I can't believe I can't find it...

I know what you mean about loosing your mind. I do that all the time. Then I tell myself calm down and take a deep breath. Then I usualy find what I am looking for.

Exactly.. it's not Disney, it's Port Security... apparently someone at the Wal-Mart photo shop might figure out how to sneak something past security by looking at the background of my pictures.

Actually there are several hotels near by...
but that is the closest one to the water that is that cheap...

The Cruise package includes parking for your vehicle while you are on your cruise and shuttle pick-up back to the hotel after the cruise.

So you are ok.. you don't need it. $119 is a DEAL!
