Jumping January Exercise Challenge

January 13 - run/walk 40
January 18 - run/walk 141
January 24 - run/walk 172

Total 628/1000

Mileage for 2015 challenge: 41.47/503.75

76 minutes for me today

847/1000

I was hesitant to go out running this morning because I wasn't sure if they had shoveled the path at the park. They did shovel or plow, but didn't salt, so there was a lot of black ice and I wound up running on snow most of the time (and I had a lot of company on the snow!). It was definitely harder, but at least I didn't have to worry about slipping quite as much.

We're expecting 1-2 feet over the next few days ... anyone else in similar conditions? Stay safe, everyone!

1400/1500. :cool1:

Not bad considering I spent the first 10 days sick. :)

Did Leslie Sansone Burn 30 this morning with 10 lb dumbbells, then finished up with a 5 mile walk/jog (1st mile walk, 3 miles 4min walk/1 minute jog, last mile walk)

Back hurt like hell but felt good to know I pushed hard today.

We are supposed to get some inches, but not feet! Yikes! I want to go out running in the snow sometime tho, i love being out in the winter. i have yak trax and all but I need to get better shoes for running in wet conditions. My addidas boost would just turn to a sopping mess.

Did my 30 min p90x3 cardio workout tonight. Holy cow is that one a killer. It's the one I did for my first ever workout on the program and its a wonder I ever went back for day 2! It felt really good cardiovascular-wise - hard, but I feel like I was stronger and better at the moves than I was 4 weeks ago.

If no one else can do Feb, ill host it. I am going to be crazy busy in the middle of the month but I should be able to update often enough. But if anyone else wants it, I can do another month instead.

Finally got the Christmas decorations down today! One full month after Christmas. Whoops! It's been hectic. Oh well. The house looks extra clean though. :)

hi. I've been out for a few days but I did hit the gym today for a bit over an hour.

63 minutes

677/1000 -

I may not get my time goal but I'm hoping to make my running goal of 50 miles, only 7 more to go.

Yep - up here in Maine we have snow, snow, and more snow on the way.

904/1000

Skipped right over the 75% goal and into the 90s....yay! That would be thanks to a loooooong hike today. Temps in the 50s, sun shining, water in the creek flowing thanks to rain earlier in the week, so we got our feet wet as we crossed it. I've not done much hiking or trail running, but my goal for this year is to try some new things and I very much enjoyed it. Also, I did a trail run by myself a week or so ago and LOVED it - I didn't try to complete a certain amount of time or distance, I just ran for as long as I was enjoying running - it was very freeing. :)

Thanks figment for offering to take February! And thanks dizzyr for keeping us on track this month and being so encouraging! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

180 minutes of jiu jitsu for this last week. Darn flu did a number on me, I just got back to it! :yay:

Ok- 66 min to add today - a run and a strength workout. I'm flipping exhausted! So exhausted I'm just going to post my total and run. More tomorrow. Hope everyone is hitting it hard this week! We're down to the last 6 days!

Thanks for all the well wishes! Still a little sore but feeling better!
75 minutes of yoga
710/1000

210/600 I have been ill with that awful cold. 30 speed walking and 30 cycling. Unfortunately I am on a very busy business trip and still trying to get my exercise on. Hopefully I can add another 60 minutes tonight.

85 minute run outside in the snow, I got to try out my microspikes!

So far we only have an inch or two from this storm. We'll see what tomorrow brings!

32 minutes today

879/1000

121 minutes in 5 days should be doable ... it's a little less than 25 minutes a day.

855/500

Adding in 105 minutes...48 minutes of cardio and abs yesterday and 57 minutes of strength training and extended stretch today.

My show opens in 10 days and we have no school today so we miss 10 hours of rehearsal time, in addition to the 4 hours we lost yesterday due to cancellation of after school activities. Yes, they actually closed NYC schools today because of the snow storm. That rarely happens here. Our students in the production are taking the initiative and working very hard to rehearse their songs, dances and scenes at home. Their leaders were all very well prepared in advance and have been ahead of schedule the last three weeks, which is helping them tremendously. Thank goodness for dedicated students who are hard workers!

Today I am going to enjoy the snow day. Definitely going to bake something lol.

40 more minutes for me. Exercising at home , looking out at the snow. About 8 inches for us.

700/900 so far

40 minutes on the treadmill
750/1000
Side note: the 20 something running next to me was drunk? He said he came straight from happy hour and was " feeling it" . Ya know what? He was still faster than me!! I'm drinking next time BEFORE I go to the gym :)
