Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

We all understand! The favors for Lacey and Jesse's wedding sound great, and very creative! Yay for them that their wedding is less than 2 weeks away :cheer2: August 20th is actually the date for my fitting for my dress for my sister's wedding. So, I'll be wearing my maid of honor dress while they are getting married :rotfl:

Good for Hunter getting all that exercise and enjoying his football practice. I'm sure the coach wouldn't expect him to miss his sister's wedding for a game! And it was that hot up here about a week ago, but it's been "down" in the 90s for the past few days. And supposed to be in the 80s at the end of this week. Hope it cools down there for you.

Looking forward to reading the rest of your TN trip and then your WDW trip!

That's neat that you'll be getting fitted while Lacey's getting married. We thought that the sunflower seeds would be a unique favor and it goes along with the theme of her wedding.

Hunter's super excited to be back playing football and has not complained once about the workouts. I wish we would see the 80s again but I'm thinking those days won't come until way into the Fall for us.

Love the pictures, especially of the Bears and Deer! I have never seen a Bear in the wild, only zoos and such. I actually see Deer a lot and it surprises me sometimes how close they let you get!

Hope you guys made it home without any more problems!

This was the first time I have seen a bear in the wild too and I was so happy to see them. The deer weren't as unique to us since we have them come into our yard all the time.

Wow, those were a couple of awesome side trips- the caves and Cades Cove. Beautiful scenery and I'm so glad you got to see BEARS!!!

Good luck with all of hte wedding festivities in the coming weeks! Can't wait to hear all about it!

The drive through Cade's Cove was very nice and I'm glad that we did it. We have friends and family who kept saying how wonderful it was.

Ok, so I'm posting for a third time this afternoon! :lmao: That is definitely scary that you drove through two areas with tornado warnings! :scared1: I remember the first time I drove to WDW (I had ridden in my parents' car when we went when I was younger, but I mean the first time I drove it) and about 1.5 hours into the drive a sudden storm developed and my sisters and I had to pull over (along with tons of other people) because you couldn't see anything at all! And this was around 11pm so it was DARK! Then last year coming back I drove into a hail storm. The rain and wind weren't that bad, but the hail was scary. And that was a solo trip, so no one else to talk to and help keep me calm.

Glad you got your peaches and that at least the vehicles cooperated so you made it home safe, albeit a little wetter. Looking forward to the rest of your WDW TR now! :)

Oh, and as a warning. I just got off the phone with WDW DRC. I got 2 copies of my Reservations for February this afternoon, and they each had something wrong with my reservation. One had a random person's name as the guest (instead of mine!) and the wrong departure date, and the other had the wrong phone number. The woman couldn't tell me much except that everything was right in their system. She did say that they all got an email that morning that there was some virus going around causing things to show up wrong to guests on their reservations, and that is what she thought it was. She had several calls before me with the same issue, but everything is right in the system, despite what the emails show. She said it was important to delete those emails and not click any links, as they were not sure yet if it could cause you to get a virus too on your computer.

I hate driving in the rain especially in an area where I'm not sure of where I am going. I bet you were scared driving through the hail storm all by yourself. I'd have been talking outloud to myself.

Oh no! Not another virus in their system. I received an email a while ago from them about something similar. At least they were able to verify the correct information regarding your reservation.

I keep saying I am so glad I do not play football or soccer because it is so hot! I am glad coaches take the heat more seriously now and adjust times and allow more water breaks! It is supposed to finally get into the mid 90s later this week....I am so excited!!

Love the bear pictures!!! When I saw the bear at Laurel Falls in March I took about 30 pictures and Keith was getting scared he was about to attack...but that was due to another group yelling for people to "Come quick! Thar's a bar up thar!" I lie not--that is exactly how they were saying it! :lmao: But it was the coolest thing ever and I was happy the rest of the trip!

Did I tell you I love Cade's Cove and I am adoring your pictures?? These are just as good as Disney for me, but I am with you on relaxing in a hammock. That sounds way too good right now!

The coaches have been really good with the practices and kids. When we had their Night of the Revolution, they were making the kids stop and take water breaks which made me feel really good.

Oh my gosh, I would have been laughing my butt off at the group yelling. I often think I am too country but then I hear somebody else talking and I sound like pure city folk compared to them. :lmao:

Glad that you're enjoying. I should have a Disney installment up soon!

Well, that sure explains why Hunter is so lean -- all that football practice.

I cannot believe the wedding is in less than two weeks. Where the heck did that time go?

The TN pictures are great. The one and only time we drove through the Smokey Mountains on our way to DW, we saw bears...and they really do appear closer than pictures show.

Hunter's lean and is getting muscled up which pleases him to no end. I am glad that he decided to start back playing. I think it's good for kids to be involved in team sports.

I have no idea where the year went. It's hard to believe that the wedding is so close.

Great ending to the "off topic trip report"!!!

I'm sure you are all excited for the wedding!!! It's coming so fast!!! Can't wait to see all the pics from it!!!

I have some news of my own............We are expecting our second baby!!!! I am due March 15th!! Can't wait!!!!

Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I'm sooooo happy for you! :yay:

YAY! for finally getting to see a Bear! And cubs as well!:thumbsup2

We have a truck that comes from Georgia park at the local gas staton that sells peaches and boy are they GoooooD!

Other than the bad weather, you had a lovely trip!

Yay! You got to see a bear! :thumbsup2 I too love looking at wildlife.

I'm a dangerous driver when there is a storm, because I spend more time looking at the lightning than looking at the road. :rolleyes1 I just find it so pretty! So I'm sure I would have loved that drive back at the end.

As much as I enjoyed reading about this side trip, I'm glad you are going back to your Disney reporting. Not that I'll be around to read the next few reports though. :rotfl:

Great pics of Tennessee!!! We will be up there in about four weeks. We are headed up for the first U of TN football game over Labor Day weekend. Last year we stayed until Monday and went to Gatlinburg on Sunday, but since we are leaving for WDW two weeks later, we decided we would head home on Sunday instead.

I'm so glad you got to see a bear! I would love to see a bear in the wild. Maybe someday.

Hope things are going well with the final details for the wedding! I still can't believe it is so close already!

Awesome photos! I love that photo of the bridge & the photos of the bears. I'm so glad you got to see the bears! It sounds like you had a great trip minus the scary weather on the way home.
I can't believe Lacey's wedding is less than 2 weeks away!

I just realised I'll be away at the time of Lacey's wedding. I want to congratulate them and wish them a beautiful wedding and a happy marriage!

Exciting to see the bear...I know...I live in a tiny Vermont village(about 350 people) and there was a Mama bear and her cub walking across the road to the stream. Do cute! My best friend and I go out at night "looking for critters" ans one night we came across a moose...he was about 5 feet from my window and just walking along beside us.

I really enjoyed reading about your Knoxville trip. Ironically, I live about 11 hours north of Knoxville and you live an equal distance south.

You must be getting so excited for the wedding. It sounds like it is going to be wonderful.

And good for Hunter for getting back into football. Pre season sports start next Monday up here. What a fast summer! Again!

I'm glad you got your peaches and your bear! That sounds like a rough drive back I'm glad to hear everyone made it back safe. The wedding is so close I bet there is lots of excitement at your house.

What a great trip to Knoxville! Well, except for the travel issues! You have some wonderful pictures of the amazing scenery! I am so impressed with Mama tagging along and keeping up with you folks!

Yum on the peaches and corn. Would you care to share how you used up the peaches? Any yummy pies or cobblers?

I look forward to hearing more about the wedding and more Disney, of course!

I can't believe the wedding is so soon!!!!! How fun and exciting!!!! :goodvibes

Wow, the weather on your drive home definitely looks like it was unpleasant! Thank goodness you all made it home okay!

Hi Lisa! I wanted to let you know that I received an email back from WDW today in response to the letter I sent (and you and several others did too!). Mine seems to have actually been written for me, or they just have a new form letter for those of us asking about the discounts and pricing! :rotfl2: Here is what I got:

So, not much help but more on topic then the generic response you had gotten at least. :confused3

Wow...I can't believe the wedding is coming up so quickly! SO exciting!!

The Tennessee pictures are beautiful! My in-laws are actually heading there at the end of the month. What a gorgeous part of the country! And you saw bears....YAY!!:cool1:

I know what you mean about Hunter growing up so fast. We measured Isaiah last week and that boy is 5'11"! Holy Cow!

You seem to be a magnet for bad travel weather! Yikes. Glad you all made it home safely. :goodvibes

The wedding is really coming up fast now! I am so excited for y'all! I wish Lacey & Jesse a lifetime of love and happiness! :goodvibes

I enjoyed looking at all your cave pics, especially the waterfall! We're close to Blanchard Springs Caverns and we went as kids and have now taken my kids there. My parents also did quite a bit of caving when I was growing up. I think caves are so pretty!

I also enjoyed your Cade's Cove pictures. I really wanted to go up there while we were in the area, but DH isn't big on nature...:sad2: I'm glad you got to see those bears and more wildlife! I like looking in old cabins and churches. Those old headstones are so interesting. Great job on your off-topic trip report!

Yikes! :scared1: driving through that storm! I'm glad you all made it home safely.

P.S. I started my trip report (finally). Link is in my signature!
