Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

I just sat down and watched the video; Dale was looking at me like I had lost my mind, I cried like a baby. It was such a sweet video. I forwarded it to Amanda since we have one of these coming up in 3 months.

Lisa, I watched this afternoon while at work and then got busy with a phone call and never got to post on FB. Let me tell you it was really hard answering the phone with tears falling down my cheeks. What an absolutely beautiful wedding video. I laughed, I smiled, I cried and I thought of you throughout the whole thing. Thank you for sharing with us.

I am usually just a lurker, but I had to say how wonderful the wedding video was. Thanks for sharing. I love to have a good "wedding cry" :thumbsup2

Lisa, thanks for sharing the wedding video with us!!! Looks like it was a fantastic day! Beautiful dress, wonderful cake and so much love!

Congrats Lacey and Jesse!

Thanks for posting that! Lacey looked gorgeous. The dress, cake & decor were just beautiful!! That video montage was really great! I still can't get over that cake- it looked really awesome! :) I love the lighting at the ceremony & that camera shot of Lacey's shoes was really cool, too. It just looked like everything went perfectly that day.
I noticed that there was an autographed photo of Matt Hughes, the UFC fighter (forgive me for picking up on that...I am a huge UFC nerd).

What a beautiful video!!!

The wedding looks like it was wonderful and so perfect for Lacey and Jesse!

Thank you so much for sharing!

That was an awesome video!! It was so sweet and heartfelt. I know you must have been crying like a baby. They are such a cute couple!

Loved the video but would love to have seen you Lisa in it. Can't wait for some photos.

Oh Dear Lord...*happy tears*

The themeing of the wedding was magnificent and the dress, the cake, right down to the little girl over the vent - all amazing! :goodvibes

Much love and luck to the happy couple.

That was such a beautiful video, everything looked great and Lacey looked beautiful! I had to LOL at the decorated car at the end, their friends really went to town with that one!

I agree! They needed to add the families, so we will have to see you in the photos. You did a great job with the flowers, decorations, etc. Lacey was just beautiful, and the dress was perfect. Catch your breath, Lisa, you have been one busy lady!!

Morning all! Now that I've had a little time to breath and catch up on my housework, I hope to have time to start posting again.

I've now watched the video 1,111 times....seriously, I've watched it over and over again and I cry every time. Yes, every time.

I hope ya'll don't think that I am being selfish but I think ya'll know me better than that. Being selfish about what? you ask.

Well, as some of you pointed out, there's not one shot of me in the video. Wait, I take that back, you can see my feet for just a few seconds. At first, I didn't even notice the fact that I was missing. It wasn't until I had watched it three or four times before I realized...where the heck am I? And, then, Monday night I burst out in tears. I cried for a solid 30 minutes. I had worked so very hard to make everything perfect for our only daughter and put out lots of moolah for the wedding and you see my feet? My gosh darn feet? For a total of .20 seconds? I couldn't help myself. I simply stood there in the bathroom and cried and cried and cried. When I finally stopped, my eyes were like two big fluffy marshmallows and my nose was a red as Rudolph's. My neck had red splotches all over it. I was a mess with a capital M. Thankfully, John was out in the shop working and Hunter was playing a video game or they would have thought I was a blubbering idiot.

Lacey called me a little while after I stopped crying. She had finally received a nice big package from some special people....you know who you are....and was excited to tell me about it. (It had arrived while they were on their honeymoon.)

After a few minutes, I said something like "I sure do wish you could have seen more of me than my feet in the video." I made sure to say it with a laugh so that she wouldn't catch on to how upset I was. She said she had noticed it and that the guy who had done the video was an old friend of Jesse's and he knew who Jesse's parents were so he had put them in there and, apparently, he did not know who her parents were. I asked if he was going to do any more video and she said no that was all. I held my composure because I didn't want to upset Lacey.

What I wanted to say was "why didn't the idiot ask who your parents were?" or "why didn't the dumb butt pan up a little so that you could see more than my feet?" or "didn't he hear the photographer say ....okay, now let's get a picture of the bride's parents?" but I held my tongue because I could tell that Lacey was already a bit ticked herself that we weren't in it.

Anyway, I'm done with the pity party and am looking forward to seeing the photographer's pictures of the wedding. Like I said, I wanted to sneak a camera in when I walked down the aisle but couldn't figure out how to do it. So those dadgum pictures better be good or somebody's going to get a good dose of whoop.....you know what I mean.

I have the pictures uploaded to photobucket and am going to start posting them in a bit. My boss has an 11:00 appointment and I'll work on it when he's busy. I also want to get back to the Disney trip report 'cause I'm missing me some Disney right at this moment.

Thanks for listening to my rant!

You are more than entitled to feel upset about not being in that video. It was your only daughters wedding! Do not feel guilty for crying. I can't believe he didn't think to ask who Lacy's parents were! But the video is beautiful and highlights a lot of their special day.

I don't know what got into me but I could not stop crying. Oh well, it's done and over with and there's nothing I can do about it now. Like you said, the video is great and captures the love they have for one another.

I forgot to tell ya'll something.....I had an online chat with Disney yesterday and asked several questions about the CBR, AOA and possible May/June discounts.

Here's the part of the conversation pertaining to possible May/June discounts:

you: We are currently looking at booking a Disney vacation package. Our travel dates would be May 23rd through June 2,2012. This past May, we were able to take advantage of the free dining promotion. This saved us a ton of money and allowed us to stay on property for more days. Do you have any idea when or if Disney will have any promotions that will cover my 2012 travel dates?

Laurence: We do not have any offers for that time as of yet, however new offers are posted quite frequently. I would recommend checking back with us periodically. That being said, if you reserve and an offer comes out for your dates, we can still apply it to your reservation as long as the offer is for your travel dates. Currently the free dining promotion runs through the end of March, 2012. We have not been told if it will be extended, but I would recommend checking back with us.

you: I would hope that if they were to offer something it would come out soon. I really need a good offer so that we can extend our stay again. Believe me, the money we would save would go towards Disney merchandise so Disney would still be getting our money.

Laurence: I understand. Well it should not be long before offers are posted for that time of year, but we do not have any quite yet.

you: I am definitely not going to hold you to a specific date or your feet to the fire but.......do you have any idea how long is "should not be long"?

Laurence: I would recommend checking back in 3-4 weeks, as that has been the norm lately as far as new offers coming out. As we are up to the end of March currently, offers for the next quarter (Apr-Jun) should be coming next.

you: Ahh, I would love to see them come out in within that time frame. I wish they would go ahead and release them as early as they did last year but I can live with 3 to 4 weeks. HA!

Laurence: Well I would definitely check back with us around that time.

Here's the part of the conversation about the CBR:

you: Okay, question number 2. I know that Port Orleans is currenty undergoing a refurb and that they are getting queen beds. That makes the Caribbean Beach Resort the only moderate resort with full size beds. Any word on whether or not the CBR will be getting queen beds any time soon. My son would love it if he didn't have to share a full size bed with one of us.

Laurence: They are next on the upgrade list, and all we have been told is they will be complete by the end of 2012. We have not been given a time frame on when the changeover will start as of yet.

you: That's where we were planning on staying. Wonder if they will have any rooms done by the end of May.

Laurence: I would say it is possible, as it is close to the middle of the year, but as of now no word on when they will start. If it is something that may only take a month or two, then it may not be underway by May.

you: I'll just keep my fingers crossed that they get a move on and we have queens when we go.

Here's the part of the conversation about AOA:

you: I think this is the last question. Our friends are thinking of staying at the new Art of Animation resort. When will the standard rooms be available. Well, I guess this isn't really the last question but multiple questions about AOA. Will the AOA share buses with Pop? Will they have one bus stop like the other values? Believe it or not, the one line/uncovered bus stops are a big drawback for us.

Laurence: Ok, here come several answers. (smile) Phase 1 of Disney's Art of Animation Resort consists of the family suites in the Finding Nemo Section. The opening date for Phase 1 of Disney's Art of Animation Resort is May 31, 2012. We have not been given opening dates for the other phases, but the standard room in The Little Mermaid section will be the last phase to open (phase 4) and those will be open by December 31, 2012. As for Busses, Disney's Art of Animation Resort will have its own stops, and its own busses. It will not share busses with Disney's Pop Century Resort.

you: Thanks for the information. I'll pass along the information to my friends.

And the question regarding the new refillable mugs:

you: I'll just keep my fingers crossed that they get a move on and we have queens when we go. Let's move on to question number 3. I know that All Stars Sports is trying out the new chip thingie (yes, that's a word here in Louisiana) in the refillable mugs. Are they going to do this with every resort? I only ask because if we purchase the dining plan, then we will each have a refillable mug with our package. Just wondering when the change will take place, if at all.

Laurence: It is still a pilot program at the moment, so no word on if it will be expanded or simply end, until the powers that be analyze the pilot program.

you: I, personally, thing it's a good program. Will keep tons of folks that are using non-Disney mugs in the food courts. I couldn't believe the number of people doing that when we were last there.

Laurence: I agree. Unfortunately everything cannot be monitored all of the time, but they are working on ways to help in those areas.

I think I'm going to do another online chat and ask about the progress of the new Fantasyland. If I am remembering correctly somebody said they heard that some of it will be open during 2012. Is there anything ya'll want me to ask while I'm chatting?

I've now watched the video 1,111 times....seriously, I've watched it over and over again and I cry every time. Yes, every time.

Lisa, the wedding video was amazing! What an awesome gift they'll have to cherish the day. I have to confess I've been lurking on your Trip Report but had to "speak up":) just to say Congratulations!

I cried for a solid 30 minutes

I can totally relate to your feelings having been there and done that. There are just so many emotions wrapped up in our little girls getting married! Crying for 30 minutes probably helped! It looks like you have been blessed with a wonderful son-in-law (as have I) and that's what really matters!
