Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

I am so glad Lacey got to make the special trip home! I know you must be loving this time too! I can only imagine how dirty you were after sitting through the monster truck event!

That's great that Lacy was able to be there for the bridal shower and can stay for the wedding, I bet you guys are glad to have her home for a couple weeks.

Great Monster truck Pics, my 2 little nephews are REALLY into them! (they are 3 and about to turn 5)

We are really happy to have Lacey with us for two whole weeks! The monster trucks were fun but LOUD!

great picks of the monster trucks I remember watching them as a kid on Saturday mornings. I always liked Bigfoot and often remember they they would pop the hood when they one to show off the chrome engines they used in them.

We've seen Bigfoot before!

Yep! I was in the VERY front row. Some of the acts were fine, but a few gave me a neck ache! And I almost had a biker in my lap! :scared1: :rotfl:

How wonderful that Lacey can come home for two weeks to join in the celebration! What a good man she has! I saw your update on Facebook, but I didn't realize the whole story behind it. :goodvibes

Great Monster Truck pictures! I have only ever attended one similar event, it was fun! It's so intense, those trucks, the noise, the dirt...you got some great shots too!

I know that the bottom tier seats at Cirque are supposed to be "the best" but I don't think so. I think the ones in Category 2 are the best because you can see all of the action without getting a neck ache.

We are so pleased that Jesse is sharing her with us. I'm going to give him a big hug when I see him.

I bet Henry would love the monster trucks. They are soooooo big and dirty and fun!

How wonderful for you all to have Lacy home for two weeks! You all must be so happy! She really found herself a wonderful man who knows how important these things are for her to experience! Enjoy the two weeks! They will fly.

You took the words right outta my mouth. Jesse is so compassionate and knows that she had no family in Tennessee and misses us. He's such a sweetheart!

What a great surprise!!! Glad you were able to keep the surprise -- that's HARD!!!

Love the monster truck pictures. That kind of thing is right up our alley, too.

It was hard to keep the surprise but well worth seeing Ashly's reaction to seeing her.

The monster trucks were fun to see. It had been a few years since we had been so it was a nice weekend thing to do.

We wanted to see Circ in Sept, but when I looked at tix, that was the week they were refurbishing! UGH! :lmao:

YAY for Lacey coming and staying home until the wedding!

Nice shots of all the trucks and Tractors! WHe I was younger, teeny bopperish, I love the monster truck "GraveDigger"!
We always went to the tractor pulls in Mackville WI

I had to work our days around when Cirque would be showing. They were in the dark during the first portion.

Did you watch Around the World in 80 Ways? The guy who drove GraveDigger and Boston Rob from Survivor were the two who traveled around the world. It was so funny and I hated to see it end.

We love Monster Trucks! I went to my first one when my DH and I were dating. We started taking our boys when they were 2(with proper ear protection). My husband was watching over my shoulder and he has never been so interested in a TR. He was so excited to see Clydesdale. He told me he remembers seeing Clydesdale about 25 years ago when he was in his early teens.

So glad that Lacey is home for two weeks. Jesse is an awesome guy.

See I knew that I took all those pictures for a reason! I didn't know if anybody would be interested in them or not. I forgot how old they said the driver of Clydesdale was....maybe 61? I could be wrong about that.

That is really awesome that Lacey is home for two weeks! And good job on keeping the surprise!

I am so happy that she's home. I hate that I don't get to see her during the day but she is going to use that time to catch up with church friends and family.

That's so wonderful that Lacey was able to be home for the time leading up to Ashly's wedding!! Jesse definitely sounds like a wonderful and thoughtful guy!! :goodvibes

Jesse really is a thoughtful guy and I'm proud to have him in our family.

Yeah! Lacey is HOME for 2 weeks!!! :yay:

I know!

How great that Lacey got to come home for the 2 weeks before the wedding!

Looks like you guys had a great time at the monster truck night! I've never been, but I'm a huge fan of the commercials for them "You'll pay for the whole seat, but only use the edge!!!!"

The look on my niece's face made all the torture of keeping the secret worth it!

Oh we used all of our seats this time....we were afraid to lean forward because we were so close to the railing.

I am so glad Lacey got to make the special trip home! I know you must be loving this time too! I can only imagine how dirty you were after sitting through the monster truck event!

We are so happy that we have her at home again. We have done nothing but laugh for the last few days.

We had a thin coat of dust/dirt on us when we left the monster truck races. But, the seats were great so we were able to see everything.

Hi Lisa!!! So happy that you get to enjoy some time with Lacey!!! :cool1: That is the best news ever!!! Enjoy every minute of it!!!!

Great updates! I can't believe it's almost the end!!! :sad1: However, I am looking forward to your pre trip report!!! Your actual trip will be here before you know it!!!

As they say (whoever "they" are), all good things must come to and end but the end usually totally sucks. Wait, the "but the end usually totally sucks" was added by me, not "they". ;) Today was our last day at Walt Disney World and I couldn't believe that the days had flown by so quickly. Why is it that the days waiting for a vacation pass so slowly but the ones while actually on vacation zoom by like a rocket? I've never understood that. :confused3

Anyway, we were now on day 10 (not counting our first driving day) of our vacation and we were spending it at the Magic Kingdom! Mama decided that she was going to sleep in for a while and would call us later on and let us know what time she'd be headed for the park. Our merry little family, on the other hand, headed to the bus stop about 9:45 a.m. which was long after rope drop but, considering that we had been going pretty much non-stop for over a week, that wasn't bad.

We boarded a bus that came very soon after we got to the bus stop but we had to split up into two parties of two since there weren't four seats together. John and I went to the back of the bus and Lacey and Hunter were near the middle. There was a young girl and her mother beside me and we talked a little about what they were going to see that day. The mother said that her daughter was a bit shy but she was being chatty today. Then, the mother asked if I was a Disboard member because she thought that she had seen me before. I told her that I was and gave her my username. She said that she thought she had recognized me and gave me her username as well which I believe was something like dreamsfordisney or dreamingofdisney. Oh gosh! I probably got that terribly wrong. If you are reading, I am sorry I can't remember your exact name.

In no time at all, we were pulling into the bus stop at the Magic Kingdom and our bus driver was nice enough to stop at the closest spot to the entrance. He did remind us that this was not the CBR bus stop and gave us the number that we would need to return to that evening.

Once we made it through security and the turnstiles, we decided to make a stop at Mickey's new greeting area. Luckily, it seemed like we were some of the only guests who decided to do so as the line was virtually non-existent. I'm thinking there were maybe a dozen people in front of us. We spent our time in line taking pictures:

With my Bell's Palsy, I have a hard time keeping my eyes open when taking pictures or in the sunlight so it took quite a few times before Lacey got a decent picture of John and I. In some, John was smiling and I had my eyes closed. In others, John was not smiling and my eyes were open. In this one, John's not smiling and I look like a deer caught in the headlights

Ever the clown!

In less than two shakes of a lamb's tail, we were invited in to see the Big Cheese and his girlfriend, Minnie!

Sadly, the meet was over with all too quickly. I guess since the lines had formed after we got there, they were trying to get guests in and out because we didn't get to "chat" with Mickey and Minnie before we were shown the exit. :sad1:

Mr. Magician with Mickey's cards:

We really had no plan of action for today since we had been able to see and do almost everything on our previous day at the Magic Kingdom. We basically just strolled along Main Street with the other guests:

***I wanted to post more but that's all the time I have for now. I hope to be back this afternoon to post more.

First....yay that Lacey was able to come home for an extended visit and to surprise the family! Kudos to you for being able to keep the cat in the bag, so to speak! ;)

Second....booo for your last day! :sad2: Love the family picture with Mickey and Minnie. Too cute! I love a non-plan day. Sometimes just going where the wind takes you is the best way to go! :thumbsup2

That is a REALLY pretty picture! I love all the yellow tables and umbrellas! So colorful!

I'm so happy for you that you have your baby home for two weeks. I can't imagine my girl growing up and moving too far away for me to see her whenever I want. I know that has to be hard.

I just want to say how jealous I am of Hunters eyelashes. I swear that all the boys in my family have the most beautiful lashes, and us girls got thin wimpy ones.

I love the view from the Plaza:lovestruc I think next time, that's where I'll shoot Wishes from!

We have done nothing but laugh for the last few days. It's so nice having her here.

I should start the pre-trip report very soon. Hopefully, I can get this trip report wrapped up quickly.

It was hard to keep the surprise but we wanted my niece and sister to be surprised and they were.

Usually, our last day is one of those days where we just do whatever attraction we come to when we get to it.

I thought that picture was pretty good too. Thanks for the compliment!

Girl, get ready. That pretty little girl of your's will be grown and getting married before you know it. They grow up so very fast and it's hard to let them go.

Hunter and Lacey have their daddy's lashes but Hunter especially so. He hates wearing his glasses because his eyelashes are so long that they rub against the lens. John's are the same way. Can you imagine how long they'd look if they had on mascara?!

I took pictures of Wishes from The Plaza before and got some really good pictures. Well, as good as you can take with a little point and shoot.

Hi Lisa

Remember the old saying: "Time flies when you're having fun!" I think it goes double when you're at Disney! I believe we all suffer from the same feeling. Too much work and not enough FUN.

I am so happy to hear that Lacey made a surprise appearance at the shower and is staying for the wedding. What a great gift for all of you!!! Congrats on keeping the secret.

Too funny that your sister didn't realize it was her!

The monster truck pictures were great.

What a fantastic picture of your family with Mickey and Minnie!

I love the picture of the castle from The Plaza area, and the ones of Hunter and Lacey. That is one of my favorite views of the castle. The colors are so pretty.

I love the family picture with Mickey and Minnie!! There is nothing better than just soaking up MK since you have already done what you want. And isn't it great your mom can catch up later and everyone doesn't have to be on the same schedule!? Something I am definitely remembering for the next trip!! :goodvibes

I am so happy for you that Lacey is there for awhile. Our daughters are precious and it is hard when they are not close. I am lucky my daughter lives near by and I see her or talk everyday.

We took my GS to a monster truck show a couple of times and they are fun. My son-in-law does tractor pulls at the local fair so I enjoyed your photos.

I think I will get tickets for Cirque next trip since you raved so about it. My husband mentioned he would like to see it so maybe I will surprise him with it.

what a lovely surprise for Ashly! That's what weddings and family are all about. :goodvibes

All caught up. Love the CBR photo's, it does make me want to stay there someday. I'm a bit bummed that it's not a better report from the Turf Club, I'd always heard good things about it and looked forward to going there someday. It moved down a bit on my list after reading your report.

Good morning! I'm coming back in a bit to post replies but had to share some news with ya'll. I called this morning to see if I had any pin codes attached to my name and, guess what, we did!

The castmember was extremely rude though, said it was only good for deluxe resorts and didn't let me ask any questions. She just ran a few numbers and said to think about it and call back because the pin code expires on March 31st. The numbers that she gave me seem really high though and when I tried to ask why, she said it's only good until the 31st so you'll have to pay for one night.

For us to bump up to, say, AKL or WL (standard rooms) without any pin codes or promotions would be about approximately $975.00. To change to the YC would be about $1,500.00.

The prices she gave me with the free dining pin at AKL, WL and YC were all about $450.00 more than what I priced out online (even factoring in the 1st) without any promotions or the dining plan. Even if you factored in that we would have to pay for our dining on June 1st, that would only mean we'd pay about $160.00 extra total. I just ain't getting her math and it's driving me crazy.

I'm going to call back at lunch and see if I get a nicer castmember. The one that I spoke with this morning was really rude and not at all helpful. Every time I would try to say or ask something, she'd interrupt me and say "m'am, I'm working the numbers, please wait". Needless to say, I stuck around for the survey and she didn't get very good ratings.

I'll keep ya'll posted on what I find out after my next call.

Would I be wrong if I guessed the castmember didn't end the call by telling you to have a "Magical Day"? :rotfl:

Sticking around for the survey is about the best you can do. With enough bad reviews they might decide to change their attitude. Good luck with your next call. Hopefully you'll get a deal that works for you!

Oh, Lisa, give Jesse a big hug from me too. What a sweetie to let his bride come home to celebrate with her cousin. That is just wonderful.

Okay...I admit, I skipped the truck pictures (not a fan of that or Nascar), but as I scrolled through it looks like you had a good time.

Love the photos with Mickey and Minnie; we have to do that this year.

I spent 36 minutes and 21 seconds (yes I saved the time from my cellphone) only to be told that the rude castmember didn't know what she was talking about. There is no pin code attached to anyone in my household's name. This castmember was very nice and tried her best to make the numbers that the first castmember make sense. She couldn't figure it out either. I am sure that I'm just going to have to keep what I have booked now (Spring room only offer) but I am going to send an email to Disney letting them know how frustrated I am.

That stinks! I hate dealing with rude and incompetent people. :sad2: I had to email Disney once over a situation and surprisingly, a human being called me back! I hope you get it all worked out. I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like Disney is sending out less pin codes than they used to. Until last year, I was getting about 5 offers a year through emails or snail mail. Now I get nothing! :confused3
