jumpiness of threads on the dis due to ads

So I wait a bit for a page of threads to load, move my cursor over the thread I'm interested in reading, when WHOP! another ad loads moving the thread up or down & I open the wrong thread. This happens All The Time to me. I googled AdChoices and did all the steps to try to remove them but they're still there. I don't mind ads, I realize they pay for the site, but they load, pause, and load some more. Any suggestions?

I use Ad Blocker Plus in Chrome and I still occasionally will have this happen to me. It's really bad on my phone. The only way I've worked around it is to wait a little longer, AND make sure before I click, the cursor turns to a hand with a pointing finger.

I have pretty good luck on my PC running Ad Block Plus. But I do have trouble on my phone. It was almost debilitating on my old phone because each page took forever to load and every wrong page drove me nuts.

Wow this just started happening to me and I thought something was wrong with my laptop.

I use Ublock, similar to Adblock, and the page will shift about 1/2 an inch where an ad would have normally loaded on my PC. It's annoying but I've just learned to wait a few more seconds for the page to finish loading prior to clicking any links.

I thought it was a problem with my phone. Then I realized it is only happening when I'm on the DIS.

What seems to make mine jump is the Facebook link, I thought it had been at the bottom of the page before.

Yes! When I load a page it freezes for a good 5-10 seconds.

I bet those of you with freezing issues might get much better results if you installed an adblocker.

I have AdBlock Plus on my Mac, so I don't think it's that. The DisBoards page jumping started on my computer a few days ago. To me, it's from the Facebook link now appearing at the top of the page. When I'm not running Facebook, the Facebook "Like" and "Share" appear, then the page jumps. When I am running Facebook, the FB pic of my DD is added underneath. Then the page jumps even more. Every. single. time. I. open. a. thread. or. forum.

I get the jump even with my adblocker, but I haven't had a problem with freezing. That is why I mentioned that it might be helpful.
