Jump into June Exercise Challenge 2021

I hurt my back last week so I didn't get as many steps as I would have liked. I tried to stick with getting 30 minutes a day. One to just move some and so I wouldn't be so far off track.

June 15th -- 33
June 16 -- 32
June 17 -- 49
June 18 -- 0
June 19 -- 74
June 20 -- 0
June 21 -- 12

Total -- 599/900

I am still looking at only needing a little over 33 minutes a day. My back is better so I think I should be able to get to my goal if not pass it by some.

Since Saturday....
17 minutes on Monday, with a short walk
24 minutes of walking yesterday
65 minutes of yoga yesterday - does anyone else ever feel guilty counting yoga? This was 'restorative' yoga, and it felt like nap time for adults! I'm only counting because this month has gone so sideways I'm desperate for minutes.... :P

528/1100 (48%, wahoo!)

Yellow is the color of the day!! We have two members who have hit the 75% mark - Twilight Sparkle and Ljcrochet have made it to City of Cibola Yellow! Wow!!!!:cheer2:
Lots of minutes by so many have pushed the team to 52% and Samawati Purple! Yay Us!!!! :upsidedow

@ljcrochet - so glad you were able to enjoy your trip!
@piglet1979 - hope your back stops complaining!

@Raya - has the yoga helped your sleep? I've been using the Calm app - I figured if bedtime stories put kids to sleep, maybe it would help - and it really does!!!! I haven't heard the end of a single one ☺

Adding 25 minutes for myself (265/700).

Let’s go to Atlantic City! Too far? Okay, then we’ll stroll around Crescent Lake to the Boardwalk Resort and have some fun in Luna Park! This enormous - 190,000 gallon - pool has a 200 foot slide! And, now no more creepy clown to give small kids (and some adults) nightmares. The Keister Coaster Waterslide is always a fun time for kids and adults alike. The slide is fast and fun, dropping into the Luna Park Pool for swimming fun. Mickey and friends take center stage now with guests come flying off the slide into the pool.
A wading pool is also located in the Luna pool area, letting the little ones splash around without having too much to worry about because of the shallow depth of the pool.
If you want to just relax, you will be interested in one of the two pool areas that are not near the Luna Pool. These pools are more traditional and have lounge chairs to relax away from all of the commotion. Step into one of the three hot tubs located around the Disney Boardwalk Inn to have a nice soak and let all of the cares of the world melt away.
After a few turns down the slide or chapters of your book, it’s time to head to Leaping Horse LIbations for a little refreshment. Childhood memories meet adult merriment as you “clown around” at this whimsical carousel-themed bar.
Sounds like fun day for all!

@Raya - has the yoga helped your sleep?
That's a tough call - I felt better rested afterwards, but my Fitbit claims my sleep score was only mildly better. If you're curious about the class, here's a link! You can do a one class virtual drop in for $20, if you're okay with Zoom yoga:

Two walks yesterday, 48 minutes at lunch and 43 minutes after dinner - it was 75' and breezy, so I could've walked forever!

619/1100 (56%, Go me!!)

I am wilting in our 103 degree temps, but I still have to head to the barn this evening. The clouds look like they could rain at any moment, and I hope they do! Dusty (dirt that is so dry it has turned into about 10 inches of dust), hot, and sweaty is not my idea of a good time. These pool posts are making me wish I could apparate to one of them!

310 minutes since last check in - horses, walking, obe videos

2290/2500

My back still hurts but nothing like it did. Going from what my 13 year old DD said, I am no longer walking like an old lady.

June 21 -- 12

Total -- 671/900

Kids are doing a soccer camp this weekend for 3 hours each day. It is about 45 minutes away so I won't be going home in between. I plan on getting at least an hour each day if not more. Nothing else to do but walk and read my book. I am reading the Bridgerton series. I am on the 4th book (Colin's story).

Happy Friday! Our first members to reach 90% and Lava Red are Ljcrochet and Twilight Sparkle! :cool1: Wow! Way to go! Close behind and turning City of Cibola Yellow at the 75% mark are Sophy1996 and PollyannaMom! :flower:
All these minutes have our team at 58% and Samawati Purple.
Great work!!!!! Only 5 days left this month - let's all try to make a push this weekend to get the team numbers up!

@ljcrochet - best of luck with the new treatment. Wishing you all the best and sending hugs!

Our travels today take us to Africa! Too far? All right, just to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Uzima pool at Jambo House is the largest pool at the Disney Animal Kingdom Resort and has a 67-foot water slide for some additional fun. There is plenty of seating and the Uzima Springs Pool Bar can serve you throughout your day so you do not have to leave once you get settled in.
The water slide adds hours of fun and play time for all ages. This 67-foot water slide adds turns before dropping you into the main drop zone at the Uzima Pool.
An entire section of the Uzima Pool is dedicated to easy access for the little ones with a zero-entry point. Making the pool safe for all can help put your mind at ease and the many lounge chairs at this area help you to keep your close eye on the little ones.
The Uzima Springs Pool Bar is a relaxing oasis complete with a thatched roof and surrounded by lush foliage. Pull up a bar stool and enjoy an African beer, South African wine, or a specialty cocktail. You may never want to leave Uzima!
