July Weight Loss Challenge

Hi everyone :wave2: I'm new to ths side of the board. I hope I'm not too late for this month. I would like to try for 5lbs!!

I gained A LOT of weight with my last little one :scared: I haven't really tried to hard to lose the weight. So I think it's about time to start. I really want to set a good example for my kids.

Crossing my fingers for at least 5 pounds!!:thumbsup2

I weighed in this morning witha 3 pound loss :woohoo: so that brings me to 3/10 for the July challenge. :)

I'm off to a good start! I'm down 4 pounds this morning. So, I am at 4/7


Weekends are my downfall, but I stayed determined this weekend.
 
i WI today and am the same -- but not a gain. i'm focused for this week, really want to glide into the next group of 10 lbs lower
 
Is it too late for me to join in? I just weighed myself-too much picnicing this weekend. I have 4 pounds to lose this month.

I'm happy to announce my first weight loss for July is 2.4 pounds. I started exercising this week and it makes such a difference. I didn't do great over the weekend, but it could have been alot worse. Keep up the good work, everyone.
 
Count me in for this month. I am just starting up so I will set my goal for 5 pounds this month.
 
I'm going to put myself down for wanting to maintain this month. I just got back from Vegas and I didn't gain anything (YEAH)! I leave for Disney on Thursday. I usually gain 12 pounds. Maybe if I join this July Challenge and just say I'm going to stay the same I can do it!

I'll base this on my WI this morning, and will count what I weight at the end of July!! I can do this!

ok girls -- this is my question -- do you all think stress plays a big role in whether or not your body will shed some pounds? i honestly have been doing fairly well, never perfect but pretty darn good and i'm not losing. I won't bore you with TMI---we'll just say i'm parenting a teenage girl :teeth: for the first time i have a tire around my middle this year, i never have really carried weight there and i know it's the more dangerous kind of poundage. i just wondered if this is a stress-tire?

I've lost weight but I'm going to wait until my official weigh-in day (Monday) to post the amount of weight I've lost.
