July Weight Loss Challenge

Okay... I've got everybody up to this point. And I'm putting my loss of 2.8 lbs. from my usual Monday weigh-in. Wish I could have counted this toward June. Oh, well. Good luck everyone and there's still room if anyone else would like to join.

My goal is five. New to this (sorry), please be patient as I figure out the ticker thing and add in the exercise challenge. Thank you for doing this. So proud of your efforts and results. Way to go!
 
I am going to try for a 7 pound loss this month. I haven't done a weigh challenge lately, so maybe this will help.

dene: I would also love to hear your secrets and tips. Your weight loss is awesome.
 

Secrets & tips... here's the abbreviated version. I'll try to find where I've posted before and put a link.
Get lots of exercise.
Get lots of different kinds of exercise (don't get in a rut).
Drink lots of water.
Eat at least 5 times a day.
I focus more on the quality of the food than the calories. (ie. lean proteins, low fat, whole grains and fresh fruits/veggies for carbs, etc)
Plus, I've replaced "emotional eating" with "emotional exercising"... doesn't leave me feeling bad or guilty, gives me that endorphin rush. :yay:
 
Ok I'm in for 6 pounds for this month! :sunny:

I just lost 11 pounds on my first month (June) of doing the South Beach Diet, but now I'm into Phase II and the weight loss slows down to a pound or two a week. So 6 pounds will average out to 1.5 per week. I hope it will, anyway. lol
 
Can I join?? My goal for July is 7 pounds.

I am currently trying to get in shape for my disney world wedding this coming January. I have a TON of weight to lose. When I started in January, I was in a tight 28 and am right now in a comfortable 22, snug 20. I have lost a total of 36 pounds so far. I'd like to lose another 40 before the wedding.
 
Put me in for 10 . I have enough of a hilly road that if I actually get my butt off the computer I could be able to do it.

You can DEFINITELY do it! There is nothing like an upcoming wedding to be a great motivator.

I hope so! It hasn't been easy. I've tried every diet in the world and yo-yoed for years. But, finally I came to the resolution that the only things that works for me is counting calories and eating a wide variety of HEALTHY foods.
 
Hi everyone! I need to get back on the bandwagon. I fell off last month. With this in mind, please put me down for 10 pounds.

My July weight loss update:

1.5/6 Hey, at least it's something for the first week of July! lol
 
I know I'm a little late for starting this month, so how about 7 pounds. I need to shed about 30 by Christmas.
 
Put me in for 10 pounds gone in July. My first weigh-in for July is tomorrow so hopefully I will already have put a dent in that goal. :)
 
I weighed in this morning, and I am thrilled to report a loss of 4.5 pounds (first week on my new eating plan)
