I'm contemplating options for my birthday trip this year, and DL is one of them. I'd be looking at 7/18-22, so I'd miss the anniversary day - but how are crowds at that time? Peak? And what is the weather temp-wise? Thanks!

We were there for the 70th (yes, on the 17th) and the weather was excellent. Crowd levels were higher because of the date but not outrageous.

Have you ever been to WDW in the summer?

Because the weather is NOTHING like that.

It definitely gets very hot. But the air isn't as thick. We've actually found August/September and even October to be the hottest weather for our past trips. Admittedly, haven't done July in a while. But have done June in recent years and it was hot, but bearable, especially with a mid-day break.

Thanks. Yes, I've done WDW in August more than once. I wanted to go directly over my birthday this year - so I'm looking at my options.

It will be hot, but you never know if it will be just hot or super hot until it gets closer. Plus it depends on how much heat bothers you.

Good point. While we were there in July 2025 locals were commenting that it was hot. Being from FL we found it quite comfortable.

Even the hottest days during the summer do not bother me too much. I find July weather pretty nice - August is definitely worse.

We used to go to WDW frequently in August. Last year, we went to DLR late June/early July. It was like paradise. It is nothing like the humidity in Florida. Truly life-changing! I cannot recommend it enough!

We have been in late July / early August a few times. We are from Houston, Tx so know heat and admit, it can get warm in Anaheim. It seems like the heat can spike for a week or so in Anaheim like a little heat wave. We hit one of those waves once and temps were in the low 90s but with lower humidity. It was hot for sure but nothing keeping you from going out in about. Just be prepared to sweat a bit, have a hat, sunscreen etc. The lower humidity there helps so much. Characters meet in shaded areas and the monorail doesn't run over like 85 I think.

Of course you can hit off of one of those heat waves and have temps in the upper 70s and it be beautiful.
