4- I can call this one now, lol, were not going anywhere today and we have leftovers from yesterday, lol. No buy #3!!! I will report if this does change, but very doubtful!
5- Able to call this one early. Staying home! #4
6- No buy #5. Went to dinner and out with my daughter, but she bought dinner!! Yes, I'm spoiled. And it was fun to go to a nice/trendy restaurant that the boys would have hated, lol.
7- No buy #6
8- Well I took meat out of the freezer, but than I bought an instant pot, as our rice cooker died, (it was $10 7 years ago at a black Friday sale, as well as the crock of my crock pot getting broken in our move, so this one pressure, slow, rice, Brown's and sautees!
9- I am amazed! I went grocery shopping and got crickets, cricket food, ear cleaner for our Wolfie,, groceries and nothing else!!!! All necessities!! I love my grandmunchkins, but it was much easier to get a no buy day alone, lol. No buy #7!!
10- Yay, stayed home and enjoyed looking at instant pot recipes, so no buy #8!!
11- No buy #9! But the r especially two things I'm hoping to find discounted for Prime Day!!!!!
12- Bought my new IP, but returning the one to Wal Mart that was $30 more and wanted to buy a lot more things, but didn't. I won't claim a no buy, as I did spend money though.
13- Yay, my instant pot came today, a day early!!!! Stayed home today so no buy #10!!
14- No buy #11 and I cooked a roast in my IP and it turned out wonderful!!!! Tomorrow and Saturday May not be no buy days, but I will be returning my more expensive IP to Wal Mart so will use that money on Friday. So that may actually turn out to be a no spend day, since I already counted that money!
15- Returned the IP to Wal Mart, we went to Durant to celebrate my birthday!!! I ended up spending less than the amount I got back, so no buy #12!

15 - no buy #9
16 - no buy #10
17 - $14.96 lunch for the boys & me...long day & I was too tired to cook :/ --This turned out to be a waste of money since my little didn't eat a single bite of his food...I should have known better and just shared mine

So I spent a lot of money this weekend. First, I ordered a Sotheby's catalog for the upcoming auction of David Bowie's personal art collection. I would love to travel to New York in September to see the collection in person, but I am just settling for the catalog that pictures and describes all 400+ pieces. I have already sold enough quilting fabric to cover the cost of this. And then I bought football tickets for the Wisconsin v. Michigan game. I am very excited for this but now I need to come up about $180 by the end of the month in order to not add this as debt in the budget. I will be posting some items on eBay once I return from my work trip this week. I will also redouble my efforts to sell some items in Facebook groups/Craigslist. Hopefully I will earn enough to cover everything!

19th - Dollar General for things I forgot to pack - $12

I never would have thought of buying the catalog. That's such an awesome idea!

If I had the money, I would buy two and hold onto the second one to sell later. These catalogs often go for much more than they cost later on. I haven't totally ruled out a trip to NYC in Sept. But I would have to save up $600 between now and then to cover hotel, fuel and food. I have a hotel reserved just in case I am able to swing it but unless some big unexpected money shows up, its probably a no go.

Jen, maybe you should buy 2, so that you can sell one after. So that even if you're a bit short for your trip, you can sell it after and recoup some of the money!

Edited to add that I shopped at Old Navy yesterday, partially with a gift certificate, partly without. Even though my grandmunchkins are home schooled, I got them some of the uniform pants. They were on sale for $10 a pair. They are 'hardy' pants and with a t shirt look nice.

It is helping sooooo much that I'm drowning in work haha. I'm way too busy to spend. I did gain a new bill though (pretty big one) because I had to hire a nanny while my husband is away (possibly for 3 weeks)...sucks. I'm saving money, but I have to spend it ugh. I can't win.

Was traveling for work this week so food and such is all reimbursed. DH and I were invited over to a friend's for dinner tonight. I offered to make sangria or bring something else, but they said just to bring ourselves. It will be a homemade pasta party so pretty excited! I did spend money today. I got a free $10 gift reward from Nordstrom and combined it with an Anniversary Sale deal on a set of Duralex glasses to replace a few broken ones. Happy to spend just 1/3 the normal price on these!

JULY:

1- No buy #1!!
2- No buy #2!
3- Well not a no buy day. We went to Marshalls and I found a bathroom shelf, for above the toilet. I've been looking for one I like and score!!!! It was only $16.99. Went to dinner, but used a gift card, but got coffee, $6.53. (Which I never do, so it was a treat for us!!! )
16- Yay! My grandmunchkins came home and my daughter bought our lunch so no buy #13!!
17- Stayed home, spent my day with the grandmunchkins, cooked in my IP, no buy #14!!
18- Somehow I threw my back out, so I ordered the grandmunchkins pizza. I had a gift card so I'm not counting this. I made my daughter and I some cheesy chicken rice in the IP so I'm calling this no buy #15. If my back is better I need to go to the store tomorrow though.
19- Not a no buy day. Went to lunch and got the boys a game I promised them. I got it before we bought groceries so they were extra good at the store lol.
20- I'd like to say it was a no buy day but I'd be lying. I ordered accessories for my IP.
21- Edited to add today. No buy #16.

22- $8.88 food scale; $28.00 pizza for movie night

Can you guys believe I let 50 papa John's rewards point expire? Ugh! :( I had to spend almost $30 on pizza last night.

I ordered a bunch of grocery items from Costco through Google Express today using the Groupon vouchers that I got last month. I also get back $30 in Amex statement credits, so I ended up with $144.25 worth of product for just $56.09! This all came out of our monthly grocery budget, so it was still a no buy day today. And on top of all that, I sold $75 worth of items on eBay and did a $10 mystery shop. I only need another $100 by the end of the month to cover the remainder of the football tickets. I have some more items listed up on eBay, so hopefully they will sell.
