I wanted to start a thread for those of us waiting patiently for the July AP rates to drop. Mousavers has them being out Feb 26th last year so hopefully soon!

We want to do a 4 day weekend stay to make better use of that AP! :bored:

That would be awesome! We have a family of 5 and stayed at BWV last year and fell in love with deluxe so would love to be able to do it again!

No patience here...will be celebrating (at least recognizing) the big 5-OH at the end of July! :cake: Hoping for a good % off @ Saratoga Springs.

Nothing yet! Hopefully Monday if we don't see over the weekend (not sure if discounts come out on wknd)

I am considering buying an AP for my 10 day stay in July. We have had them in the past. A couple questions if anyone can answer: 1. to book AP rate rooms, do you need pass already in hand? 2. I have some admission days left on cards and would like to apply to AP pass purchase, can I do this somewhere? Or do I have to only do in person at Disney? 3. There are 2 of us traveling and I think I only will do AP for me, not my daughter. If I do this, can we still add pacakge stuff, since one will be AP and other not? Depending on how works best, we may also add dining. Thanks!

I can answer a few of these for you.

1. You won't need the AP when booking the AP discount. You'll just have to call in to ask about the pricing or have someone look for you since it won't be available online to you until you have the pass. As you would expect, you'll need the pass during your stay to keep the discount.

2. You can bridge to an AP, but will have to do it at Guest Services in one of the parks.

3. Not exactly sure what packages you are referring to but it shouldn't be a problem. You can add the dining plan to either, along with Fantasmic type packages.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for the info. Just to clarify, I can reserve AP room rate before buying the pass, as long as I have the pass when I check in? So I can just go to guest services before hotel? Not sure why I would have others call in if I don't need AP to book discount. It's been a number of years since AP and thought they used to limit # rooms, so needed to book the AP rate. If I book regular room rate, it didn't in past guarantee the AP rate could be applied to any res because of limited rooms. Hope my question makes sense. Thanks!

Sure. I meant that it's easier for others to look up the room rates/availability online since the AP discount will show up there. Since you wouldn't have the AP yet, you will have to call to book the room at the AP rate, instead of booking online.

Yes, you would be able to upgrade your ticket to the AP once you arrive at Guest Services in the park. Then you can show that to the resort. You don't need the AP when booking the AP rate. :earboy2:

If you are staying deluxe the room discount for AP's may save you more than a base ticket. I've been running numbers for our 9 night June stay, and I actually save $100 with an AP discount on the room staying at one of the resorts with the 35% room discount for AP's.

Stillll waiting.... I assume when they are finally released, it will be at 12am. Anyone remember?

Nothing yet! I am really in the end of June but it should be the same discount group. I hope it is soon!

Could you tell me which resorts have the 35% discount?
