Cindy and Jeff, If you could please update the 1st page and website, that would be awesome.

I am going to try to book the restaurant next week. I have put a couple contacts out but have not heard back yet. I even went as far as to ask a restaurant to open during their normally closed on Monday status to accommodate a group of hungry people who are eagerly waiting to get on a ship for which we booked 1 1/2 years ago!!! No reply. ugh...

Too bad there isn't a Fish Lips in Dover

Beth

oh, and if anyone staying the night in Dover wish to join the dinner meet, please send me a PM or email.

I'm pretty excited to book tonight...and expect to be on-line for hours! Sigh. I too have been very undecided about Tivoli. In fact until yesterday afternoon we had decided not to do it and do the copenhagen highlights and open air museum. However, I started thinking about how it might be a good day to have fun and relax and not just a day of museums, castles and more museums...so much so that we went on-line last night, looked at the site, checked out some tripadvisor reviews, and decided, that yes, it is probably the best thing for us to do.

The exclusive tour is so expensive, but it does include lunch (which is expensive) all the rides, a private tour and transportation to and from the park. I know we can do it all on our own for less (minus the private tour), but the hassle free aspect and the private tour really do seem a bonus.

So, we will book it for now...watch the reviews from the first cruise and change if the first bunch pans it.

As for the Dover dinner, I read that Hubert House does dinners and it has lovely reviews. Has anyone checked that out?

I'm still hoping that room will come available for a palo brunch. We are first on the waitlist, but perhaps more cruisers have come on board that might be interested in a dismeet brunch at palo.

Counting the hours now until booking!

pixiedust: Good Luck to all the Silvers tonight! I hope everyone is able to book their first choices! pixiedust:

Only 3 hours and 15 minutes left. I don't think I'm going to make it! had an exhausting day. Someone send me a wake up call!:yay:

Good luck everyone!:goodvibes

I updated the Dover dinner group in the first post, so that's done!

Now just waiting for midnight. Catching up on DVRed shows while biding time. I'm tired tonight and usually go to bed early on Tuesday. But I'm glad to not have to get up at 3 a.m. to book like we did for the Med.

I plan to book St. Petersburg first, then Helsinki, Warnemunde, and then the rest. Please no glitches! I don't have Palo or spa things to book since I am doing the group brunch. I will hopefully be able to post our excursions some time Wednesday as I will be going to zzzz as soon as booking is done!

Good luck everyone!

I'd be more excited to book excursions if I could actually decide what to choose. Honestly, none of the excursions in Denmark, Norway or Sweden are all that enticing. I feel like I'm settling. Is it just that those locations are better to do independently?

Is anyone super excited about booking a port adventure in any of those locations?

I'd love to hear your thoughts....

Joanne

We are very excited to go to Drottningholm in Sweden. Both my husband and I work in theatre (he builds and teaches scenery construction at our University) and they have a working 17th century theatre. Plus the steam ship ride down there, the royal palace and grounds seem like a lot of fun.

Copenhagen has a lot of things we are excited about! We have settled on Tivoli Gardens at the eleventh hour, but the city highlights and open air history is really interesting to us also. Wish we could do both!

Olso is just so so with excursion, but I'm happy with what we decided which was the Viking Heritage tour. It has a lot of variety and looks super interesting.

I like all of our choices and hope I get them.

Just sitting here waiting until midnight. The only ship excursion we are planning is Santas Summer Home in Helsinki. Other than that we plan to tour on our own plus our private tour in St P. The only city I don't have a plan for is Warnermunde. I may book the Molli steam train and decide later if we just want to hang around the port for the day or do the excursion. Berlin is not in the cards due to the 3 year old.

For Oslo we're planning the Norwegian Adventure (DH wants to see the Viking ships, etc.) with Oslo Highlights as a back up. For Copenhagen, we have the city and Harbor Tour as our first choice and Charming copenhagen walk and cruise as our second choice. For Warnemunde, we want Molli Steam Train with Rostock's Regional Highlights as our backup. St. Petersburg will depend on the day/time for what we do there. Helsinki we're meeting my 3rd cousin but we plan to also do the Helsinki from Land and Sea - if that doesn't work out, we'll do the shorter Panoramic Helsinki. Stockhold we want the Historickal Stockholm and Sigtuna. The Royal Palace and Waterways is our backup.

1:42 til we can book.

Thanks for posting some of your plans! I hope nothing is sold out.
We signed up for the Dover dinner/meet on the 5th of July. Is anyone planning on visiting Dover Castle that day? We're trying to plan what time to leave London.

:surfweb:<----me trying to stay awake!

As for the Dover dinner, I read that Hubert House does dinners and it has lovely reviews. Has anyone checked that out?

I am going to be checking that out. Their is a pub (The Eight Bells) i was looking into today that got from my Rick Steves book that allows children. As it stands now, i cannot make international calls from my home phone. I am gathering my info and will head over to my in-laws and rack up their bill next week. Hubert House is on my list.

Anybody have any suggestions? how about a time frame? 7ish, earlier, later?

Beth

50 more minutes!!!!

We sent Beth a PM tonite signing us up for the Dover Dinner Meet. Since our hotel (Best Western in Dover) closed up, we will be staying in Folkestone at the Best Western there. Should be just a cab ride over to Dover so we would love to join in.

We are excited about all our excursions! Oslo is the only port we are planning on doing on our own. Here is our list again below. Good luck to all the Silvers booking tonite!

Copenhagen - Tivoli Gardens and Harbour tour
Helsinki - Porvoo and Helsinki Highlights
Stockholm - Historical Stockholm and Sigtuna
Warnemunde - Rostocks Regional Highlights
St Pete Day 1 - St Petersburg Shopping Experience and
Evening Canal Boat Tour
St Pete Day 2 - Majestic Spilled Blood Cathedral and Boat Ride

Ok silvers - it's half hour til booking!

Carol - I got your family added to the dinner list. Looks like a big group!

Have fun, only 15 more minutes to go for all you Silvers!!!
I left lots of stuff for you so go for it!!!:thumbsup2

Argh - I can't get my excursions to book - I keep getting the error that they can't access my reservation - even though I can select the excursion - I just can't get one to add. Argh.

OK...got Palo for our anniversary dinner on the 11th. Got in right away without any waiting. Decided not to sign up for any excursions. We will do all ports on our own except St. Petersburg. Good luck everybody!!!!! :goodvibes See you in 3 months!!!! :cool1::yay:

Got everything we wanted except my massage on a Sea day & Palo for brunch or tea. There are dinner ressies available but we like to spend that time with the whole family.

Any luck nzdisneymom?

Ugh. No Palos except dinner the first night. We'll try to book on board.

Can't do day and night in St Petes. Decisions, decisions!

Anyone else going to do the Nordic Walking in Helsinki? DD's choice. Whoopee.

See you in 90 days (or in London!)

I still can't get anything to book!!!! Any suggestions? I've logged out, rebooted, cleared cookies, etc.
