The China Trip with my daughters Chinese instructor almost replaced this cruise, but in the end it wasn't what we thought it would be - so we're planning a China trip for her graduation in 2011.

i have 2 kids DD(13) and a DS(19) at sailing so if any of you have any kids this age maybe they could meet on the cruise
I love that we're sailing on the Magic because Ocean Quest is a perfect fit for my guys.Monstro has his wiki where we can include our info about who's traveling, etc. Hopefully we'll be able to have this put into a printable directory before we sail - we had one with our Royal Carib. cruise and it came in handy - we had pictures included and cabin numbers / traveling party and such - made recognizing each other a lot easier!
Three months ago, DH and I went on a 9-day trip to China and had a wonderful time! The trip was sponsored by our local Chamber of Commerce and subsidized by the Chinese government, so it was very affordable. I would highly recommend checking with your local Chamber of Commerce, because many across the country offer the exact same trip each year. Anyone can sign up to go - you didn't have to be a member of the Chamber; there were quite a few children on the trip; and people from other states also came with us. All together, 450 people signed up this year, so we were divided into three groups of 150 that left on a staggered schedule. (We were in the second group of 150.) $2,000pp included flights from NY to Beijing, Beijing to Shanghai, Shanghai to Beijing, and Beijing to NY, all hotels (4- & 5-star), three meals a day, and all touring & admissions. We had to get to NY on our own and Chinese visas were an additional $160pp. The highlight for us was walking along the Great Wall of China! Let me know if you'd like more information.![]()

Now I have to find the time to read it!
