Just wanted to say we are booked. We booked last week but it has taken this long to get up to date on all these posts. We were on the 7/7/07 Med cruise. It will be me, DW, 3 DD (18, 14, and 11), DS 5, and my parents. We can't wait.

:welcome:

I added you to the first post and afterwards counted to see that we have 44 DISFamilies (but more than that in terms on actual DISers) onboard! This is going to be an amazing trip!

Wow what a big Group!!!

Hope everyone is doing well....

Happy Anniversary to Denise and her Hubby... :dance3:

Welcome to all the new cruisers who have joined our merry little group! Although, it is sounding more and more like a big group which is fantastic!

Does anyone have any idea which categories have sold out thus far on our particular cruise? I know some were posting about some going to guarantee status, and I was wondering if they had actually totally filled up?

We're still a QTY in Cat4. I just called DCL to see if any cabins have been put back into inventory, and was told that everything booked in Categories 4-8 are currently GTY. At this time, category assignments are only available in Categories 9-12.

Wow! that is something! Considering how far out we are from sail date, it is amazing. Looks like we will have a full ship for sure.

I'm also singin' the parent/teacher conference blues! :rotfl: I'm the academically/intellectually gifted resource teacher for a large middle school with an unusually high AIG population. I'm expected to schedule parent conferences for each of my 530 AIG students! Since we don't have conference days built into our calendar, these meetings have to be held before school, after school, and during my planning period. Even if I started on the first day of school, the reality is that 530 sets of parents divided by 180 school days equals 3 conferences a day!

Wow, that is so crazy that they make you schedule these conferences outside of the regular school day. Is that a contract issue? Ours are once first semester and once second semester. Typically, the kids have a 1/2 day and our conferences run until 8pm, and the next day they have no school and we have another set from 4pm-8pm. (Weird because school gets out at 3:30 anyhow, but it nice to not have to be in school another 13 hours!)

I teach sophomore English and AP English Literature and Composition which is a senior course.

I'm also thinking of picking up some Euros with the recent changes in exchange rate!!

DW2DH&DS, good luck with the penpal. Wish we could help but NY isn't a foreign country yet ;) We have a Webelos scout, DH is the leader and I'm the Pack committee chair. We're up to our eyeballs in scout stuff  The boys are supposed to be doing a good turn project today outside but it's threatening to rain.....wish mother nature would decide what to do so I know if I have to cancel or not!

OMG, My DH is the Den leader (co-leader actually...we have 18 boys in our den and about 60 in our pack) and I, too, am the Pack committee chairperson. I know how busy you are with scouts.

We had a wonderful ten hour day full of conferences also about 15 min each. This year I'm teaching third grade. I love it but at the end of the day I'm exhaust. We don't do our grades online but we do submit them through a computer program. I keep everything on the computer. Then i have a hand written copy and two saved copies of the computer file. I'm a little parniod about this becasue last year the dya grades were due my computer crashed and I did not have a save copied or a hand written one. It was a disaster

Lissa

Do you have a lot of parents sign up for conferences, or not many? I typically get a lot, but I think they mostly want to see the math and science teachers.

I get paranoid about the computerized grades, too lol. That's sad that all your grades crashed! :guilty: That's my worst nightmare!

Wow! Another 070707 family:cool1: Does this mean that Monstro will be joining us as well? It's going to be a lot of fun seeing how much the kids have grown in three years!

Welcome!
Kathy

If UGARXDAWG is there, we will be there. :)

It will be me... Jeff my DW and our three DD's who will be 22 (turning 23 in Stolkholm, Sweeden), 17, and 15.

This trip is like that unexpected baby, but we're very excited.

Jeff

Good to "see" you, again Jeff! Keith, too! I believe there are now 10 of us from the 7-7-07 Med cruise! Wow! :)

Yep. I guess I should have said Hello to everyone from our 7/7/07 family. It will be good to see you all again. In addition, we look forward to making new friends. It seems Disney has a nack for making those introductions.

Jeff

Hi Jeff!
It will be a lot of fun seeing so many familiar faces. I hope your oldest will be able to make it this time. :woohoo:

Any Palo plans? We're in! No pressure:rotfl2:

Good "seeing you"
Kathy

Couldnt sleep today, amazing after work how my brain just keeps going!

Nice to see alot of teachers on thsi board. After goign on my daughters field trip last week I dont think there is enough money for me to do that career. I definitly think our teachers dont get enough credit for what they do.

Anyone going to Mickeys very Merry Christmas? We werent going to but I drew the straw to work Christmas so we'll go there and over to Epcot to see the lights. Just seeiing them will eb enough for me.

hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Hi Heather

How are you?

Awful weather here and yesterday I had an accident after shopping as bad winds pushed me bang with my face on the rail after I run with my hood up and never saw the rail. I was shocking and shaken, it hurt my lip (no broke teeths) phew. My lip swollen look like Mike Jagger!!

Really very bad windy here and I was scared to go out to get hurt more.

I wish I stay in Spain longer ::yes::

Im great!
sorry about your lip, glad you didnt break any teeth!
I told bethany you were going to be on this cruise and the first thing she asked is if your interpreters would be coming. I think everyone on the PC cruise enjoyed watching them during the show as much as the show itself.

Im geographically challenged in some areas but how far is Dover from Scotland or Ireland if we were to drive or take train? We have been discussing pre and post plans and would love to go to both or one if we could!
