Hi everyone.........rather than just lurking I thought I'd include my group in the tally. We are a group of 10, with 3 cat 6 veranda rooms booked for deck 7. (Myself and dh, my sister and her dh, my parents, my brother, my two sons, and a new niece or nephew who is due March 09!) We did the Disney Med cruise in June 2007, and it was such an awesome vacation (to be honest it's hard to beat that cruise!). We are very excited to be doing the Baltic cruise in 2010, but it seems so far away. I'm just dying to figure out what types of excursions Disney will offer for these ports.

Anyway....we are 7 adults and three kids who will be 8, 9, and 1 at the time of the cruise.

Does anyone have any idea if this cruise is sold out or how close it is to selling out??

Welcome!..I checked the price today and for cat 6 it was the same price as yesterday. Doesn't that mean there's still plenty of cabins open?

welcome. my DS will be 8 as well on this cruise.

Forgot to mention........

We are huge Disney fans, as I know most of us on these boards are. We are heading to WDW this month for a few days and are excited about the Food & Wine fest and Mickey's No So Scary Halloween Party. We did our first Adventures by Disney this past summer and loved that as well.

No clue what will be our vacation plans for Summer 09, but usually our plans revolve around something Disney. LOL:)

LOL.... I'm having more doubts about this cruise than DH is... He really wants to go but I'm thinking Disney is smoking crack.

:lmao: I'm in the same boat (literally and figuratively)!! DH really wanted to do this cruise, but when I saw the pricing, I said someone's smoking something and unless we start smoking it too, we're not going. DH came home from work yesterday and when I started complaining about insane cost of our 2010 Spring Break cruise, DH said "why didn't you just book the Baltic." So, to make a long story short, we're now booked on RCI for Spring Break and doing DCL on the 7/6 Baltic. I'm honestly excited and really want to go, but its going to take me a long time to get past the naseau that comes from knowing its costing over $10k to squeeze my family of 4 into a Cat 11.

So how often does it happen that a Diser's "not-so-Disney-crazy" spouse is the one who pushes the Disney trip?? This is a first at my house!

Anyway, for now, we're booked- cabin 5509. It will be me, DH, and my 2 DDs. One will be 7 and the other will be turning 9 onboard. So far, we've taken 4 Disney cruises, but we have 2 more planned between now and July 2010 (although if I'm going to be able to afford this, one of them is probably going to have to go).

That was a cool trip wasn't it? I couldn't believe my DD wanted to hold it. She even wanted to take it home with us.

That was the best. My DS wanted to get one. Where would you buy one, the local Sloth Shop? Then you'd need Sloth Chow.:lmao: :lmao:

I love that idea. :thumbsup2

I like the idea too. However, I would make each stackable russian doll a different Disney character that represents a different country. I love the idea of a mickey passport too though, with a stamp from each country we will visit.

decisions decisions......

.:thumbsup2

We were in the same situation! My DH was the one that really pushed for this cruise even though I'm the DCL/WDW fanatic. Usually he just goes along for the ride. I was having serious problems getting over that cost for the cruise and probable airfare. He's the one to push me to do it. I'm still in a state of shock

Hi Honey,

You still here?

Hi everybody,

DH2DW&DS is my DH.

There may be times when he gets on the DIS while at work while I am on. Don't want anybody getting :confused3

Does anyone else here have any other Disney trips lined up before our Baltic Adventure?

We're off to WDW in June next year (even THAT seems such a long way away....)

Were on the same christmas cruise with Cindy and her family and then spending New years at WDW. After that nothing unitl Christmas again when we will be back for Christmas and NYE at WDW. If it weren't for DVC points we would not be doing that.

Lissa

HI Deb....so great that we will all be back together again...this is going to be so much fun...Janet and Kenny are at WDW right now and I talked to them today and they are going to book too!!! Our daughter is so excited about seeing everyone too!!! Hope your kids can come... How is your son doing? Did he finish school?
Time to relax now and just wait....(and save money too...:rotfl: )
denise

It will be great to see so many familiar faces onboard! :)

DS was just getting ready to start law school after the Med cruise and will finish spring 2010. He loves it out there!! We doubt he'll be able to come on this cruise, but booked him anyway just in case. We also booked DD, but again, aren't sure what her plans will be in 2010.

What are Eleni's plans? Has she applied to any colleges yet?

I just took a look at our total amount for this vacation and literally felt sick. The cruise, plane tickets, and hotel for two nights before and two nights after, transportation, and insurance cost more than my care did. I don't think mom realizes just how much I spent yeaterday when she does i might be in trouble.

Is anyone doign a pre or post stay? Were staying two nights before and two nights after at the Renaissance.

DH and I just returned from a quick trip to WDW the first weekend in Oct. I've been trying to talk him into an early December trip to see the Christmas decorations, Osborne Lights, and Candlelight Processional. We'll be back to WDW during the first half of my spring break in April and then on a 3-night Wonder cruise the second half of the week. I'm sure we'll head to WDW and maybe even DL at least a couple of times before the 2010 cruise. ;)

We were considering it but haven't made any firm plans yet. I'm still a little shell shocked about booking the cruise. I'd like to stay a few days in London but will worry about it later.

We will most likely do a few days pre-cruise like Barcelona in 2007. Based on the distance from the port to the airport and looking at current flight schedule we may have to do a one night post cruise... :(

We got a call from DCL today and we've got a Cat 3 cabin booked! I am so excited as I thought for sure we were out of luck on that since we didn't hear anything yesterday. Anyway, so now we have 8534 and the Cat 4s, 8082 and 8084. We'll still need one of the Cat 4s though, so we're sort of debating what to do at this point. If only we could get 8080, then we'd have connecting 3/4s and be set. Oh well, I'll take this!

We are working on a WDW trip late June/early July ending with a 4 night on the Wonder. WDW with family friends and the Wonder with DH's cousins. This Baltic just popped up and distracted me :rotfl:
