We just paused our individual activities to do a Happy Dance that it's 5 months til sailaway! Thanks for the post about that!

I was scrolling through some old email and found a msg from my 3rd cousin who lives in Helsinki! So I emailed him to let him know we'll be there for a short time and once we get our excursion figured out, we're going to figure out how to plug in at least a "meet and greet" with him and his family. He said he had to check the Internet to see the Disney Magic since he hadn't heard of it porting at Helsinki before :) This is actually why we chose this itinerary vs. the other one - because I am 1/4 Finnish and thought that would be amazingly awesome to go there at least for a day.

We have pretty much decided to not go into Berlin, but for the other ports, we want to do the excursions that will take you to see the most. Although there are some different ones I might choose if I were doing them on my own or had been there before, we have found that these types of excursions work the best for us. The one in Stockholm that takes you not just through the city but out into the countryside is the one I think we'll do there.

I was looking at the pre- and post-cruise London excursions but think we'll be able to do London on our own; however, we might choose to do the Leeds Castle one through DCL since we are staying two nights post-cruise.

Still trying to convince DH that we should go to a performance while we're there -- if he won't agree, maybe I can hook up with some of you who might try to see something in the theater either pre- or post-cruise. I've never been to a Broadway play but thought that it would be awesome to see a show in London. Some friends have told us about being able to get discount tix the day of and still have pretty decent seats. We are in negotiations for extra time at the British Museum in exchange for going to see a show. I was thinking Wicked would be great - or the Lion King (which is what is offered by DCL).

The other thing DH wants to do while in London is see Abbey Lane (Road?). There is a walking tour that got good reviews on TripAdvisor so we will likely see about doing that. Guess we'll need to load the boys' iPod with Beatles music to get them indoctrinated before we go :) They did love the Yellow Submarine movie as preschoolers.

Hey There Lisa-

I've added your family to the FE! So glad to hear you'll be participating.

joanne:)

Thanks Jo Anne - I also PMd my info to Jeff.

Anyone interested in a group brunch on one of the sea days? I love Palo, my mother doesn't:confused3 and the kids are, well kids. Really don't want to miss out and hate eating alone. If any interest let me know - i can try to get the private room and can make ressies March 5.

Also seems like most have their private tours planned in Berlin and St.P. - if not, we will prob do the DCL private car and guide and have room for 2 more.

GO SAINTS!!

We are up for brunch. We love it. There are 3 of us. How many do you need for the private room? 12?

I think it is 12 or 14. I will call and find out for sure. Hopefully we can set a day and time soon so we can plan around - I know I don't want my massage right after a brunch:)
I will keep a head count - let me know here or PM.

Also - for anyone interested - I found a very cool tour of stonehenge at sunset with Bath and windsor included before - let's you go to the inner ring with a guide. I have info I received through our hotel if anyone wants it.

2nd - anyone going to the 7/4 matinee for Lion King?

Been on a planning marathon since we finally decided to do this yesterday:surfweb::)

Lisa - what's the Palo charge these days? And what's dress-code for brunch? I doubt DH will want to do it which puts me in the same situation as you -- interested but wanting brunch-buddies. I'll be a "maybe" for right now, partially depending on the charge.

We're not planning to go into Berlin, so we'll probably do the Molli Steam Train one. And the ones into Berlin are about $500 so that times four is $2000. We'd rather spend some of that in St. Petersburg because it will be more likely that we can get to Berlin on our own if we ever chose to, but not to Russia.

I saw that one & I think we're doing it - OK in my mind we are, haven't discussed it with the family yet.

I'd love to know about this tour. I've been to all 3 but the DD hasn't...

Also...can someone refresh my old memory...what are the days out that we can book? For Silver, Gold and those of you that are platinum? :confused3

We're not going to the Lion King, but we are going to Wicked on 7/2!:thumbsup2

Tickets were less than NY even with the exchange rate..
