July 5th Dream

@ Princess Bette - Sounds good, we're from Miss. so we'll be able to understand each other. Last cruise we went on my wife and I got a table with a couple from Boston and my wife and the Boston lady couldn't communicate due to accents. It was pretty funny.

We're in cabin 10160, look us up.

:lmao: I totally understand!! We have dined with folks from upstate New York before...it's a whole different place! But they were very nice. We don't have our room assignment yet...will let you know when we do.

Hey gang - finished paying for the cruise today!!! :woohoo: Love income tax refunds!!! :thumbsup2 Now, if I could just book activities online...but have to wait a while since we are only silver CC members. :rolleyes1 I want to book brunch, high tea and one of the cabana's. Not asking for much am I?! We haven't decided on port adventures yet. :confused3 My DS and I have been busy working on the magnets...we have gotten most of them printed and lamenated. Still have to put the magnets on them. It's a work in progress, but a labor of love! I have been working on the FE gifts as well...mainly just deciding on what I am going to do. Our family is glad to see February end...it was rough for us. My DH spent a week in the hospital at the beginning of the month with a severe colon infection. After he came home and got better, I became suddenly ill with severe vertigo and vomiting - missed an entire week of work. My doc believes it was caused either by an atypical migraine (esp. since I didn't have a headache) or by a viral infection. Anyway, I have never been that sick before and never want to be again! The main thing is we are all on the mend and counting the days down until we cruise!! Hope everyone else is well! :goodvibes

we will be joining you too... my dd(13 almost 14) and ds (7)....counting down the days...all paid off and ready to book starting 3/7!

Palo has three dinning events, brunch on sea days, high tea at 3:00 on sea days and dinner. There is also Remy for another nice dinner. The cabanas are almost $500.00 and fit eight. If you split it with another cabin its not too bad.

This is our first Disney Cruise. Where do I go to book stuff like that? Are you booking shore excursions too? I want to get the kayak tour on CC booked for us to go see some nature stuff.

it depends on your status. if you are a first time disney cruiser and not in concierge your window is 75 days prior to boarding and you can book on the DCL website. Yes you can book excursions, we have ours booked for all three port days.

Hey fellow cruisers! Just a quick question...is our group planning a dismeet onboard? I haven't seen anything about it here. I'm new to disboards this cruise and not sure how it works...does anyone know? Thanks!

Yes but I think its only $10.00 I need to find out how to post thread links on here as there is some good palo info out there

Ok, now I am getting excited!

Our plan so far:

Arriving in WDW via Southwest Airlines July 2.

Staying at Saratoga Springs with a waitlist at BLT! Come on, somebody cancel, :goodvibes

July 3 lunch at LeCellier and Dinner at the Cali Grill 9:20. High price to pay to see the fireworks, lol.

I haven't finalized our plans to get from WDW to the port. That will depend on if I can get Palo reservations on April 6. If I can get them, we'll probably do Disney transport.

Anyone staying at WDW that might want to share a ride, let me know. We have three people so getting a transportation service is just barely cost effective.

We have main dining and 9 pm show time.

Can't wait to meet everyone! Are we meeting onboard any where yet?

I just looked at the FE list. Looks like 23 cabins. I can't remember the exact numbers of adults/children, but it was a total of around 76.

It's going to be fun.

so you are saying we buy 76 items for each day of cruise? meaning 380 things???

I've never done an FE before so someone with more experience can correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you just do one gift for the cruise, either one per cabin, one per person, or a combo of the above.

Right now my thinking is I'm doing an individual gift for those under 18, and a one gift for the adults in each cabin.

Anyone who has done an FE, please jump in with advice!

Lisa
