July 5th Dream

Oh, and is anyone else planning on staying on Disney property before the cruise? If so, what are you going to be doing for 4th of July fireworks?

We are staying for 2 days at the Boardwalk before. Figured we do dinner at Kona on the 3rd and watch the preview fireworks from the beach. The 4th (since it's my DDs 25th b-day :yay:and she gets to choose) we'll be at DHS.
Afterward we'll wind down with a couple of days at Kidani overlooking the animals. :woohoo:

Didn't realize they did preview fireworks! Maybe Dylan and I will see you on the Beach as that is our favorite spot to view the fireworks!

I can't wait for my Dream Cruise, it is our third cruise but first time on the Dream. I really can't wait for my son's wedding on Castaway Cay. Unbelievable, started out as a discussion on Thanksgiving Day and quickly became reality.

We are flying in on the 3rd, staying at Tree House Villas, dinner at Ohana on the 3rd and dinner at Beach Clubs Clam Bake on the 4th. Fireworks afterward in the Kingdom.

How excting! Congrats on the wedding.

I can't believe that we all will be on the boat in only 149 days:cool1: It seems like just yesterday we booked this trip but it was really 13 months ago.

Thanks we can't wait for the wedding, but I am soooo excited for 149 days as well.

Hi fellow Dreamers! I just completed and e-filed my taxes and now awaiting the refund so I can finish paying for the upcoming cruise!! :yay: I have also been working on the details of where we will be staying during the few days prior to the cruise. :surfweb: I booked Country Inn & Suites for the 4th. Does anyone know if we will be able to see any fireworks there or do we need to go somewhere else? :confused3 This will be our first time staying prior to a cruise, so we aren't familiar with area and attractions. :guilty: I am thinking of booking the Buena Vista Suites for the rest of the time we will be in Orlando (we are planning on driving in on 7/1). Does anyone have any experience with them or have any other suggestions? My DS, who is 7, really wants to do Sea World and Discovery Cove. He also wants to see the Titanic expo thingy and visit the Dinasoar store (in PC area). We are also considering Universal Studios one day. Are we being too optimistic to fit all this in? :rolleyes1 We are trying to keep the pre-cruise stuff more relaxing and as low budget as possible! :thumbsup2 Once I get all the bookings done, then I can concentrate of the FE gifts! So excited about doing those and have already started designing/creating some things! :dance3:

We're booked on the 7/5 cruise, but we'll be in WDW on 7/4. Anyone have an opinion as to where to catch some fireworks? Do they do anything different for July 4th from normal?

Tavelling with DW, DS (12), and DD (8,almost 9 at cruise time). Hope the kids can make some friends on the cruise and not have to pal around with me and the wife the whole time.

Hi Telephoneman66 and welcome aboard! :grouphug: We will be staying in Port Canaveral on the 4th, so I can't help you with the fireworks at WDW. I'm sure if you contact the resort, they can fill you in on what will be going on! On a side note, my DS will be almost 8 at cruise time and he would love to make some new friends. :cloud9: Look forward to seeing you on the cruise! princess:

Welcome aboard! There should be firework displays at both Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Either should be spectaclar! Best viewing spots are Main street at Magic and the anywhere around the lagoon at Epcot. There is always the beach at the Polynisan or at the Grand Floridian. Hope this helps!

@ Princess Bette - Sounds good, we're from Miss. so we'll be able to understand each other. Last cruise we went on my wife and I got a table with a couple from Boston and my wife and the Boston lady couldn't communicate due to accents. It was pretty funny.

We're in cabin 10160, look us up.

What resort are you staying at? Do you plan to go in the parks, or would you be happy with "partial views" to avoid crowds? Either way, we hope to see you on board ( we will be spending the 4th at the RI cape canaveral- our first time NOT staying at a disney resort the night before!)

Count us in, only 2 weeks until we can make onboard reservations...cant wait

Does anyone have info on the chance of seeing fireworks from the Residence Inn or Country Inn & Suites in Cape Canaveral on the 4th?

Magic Kingdom does a special 4th of July fireworks. DD (who will just be shy of turning 12 but going into 7th grade) will also be on the cruise.

Magic Kingdom also does the same show on the third, Epcot and Studios only have it on the 4th.
