Oh, and is anyone else planning on staying on Disney property before the cruise? If so, what are you going to be doing for 4th of July fireworks?
We are staying for 2 days at the Boardwalk before. Figured we do dinner at Kona on the 3rd and watch the preview fireworks from the beach. The 4th (since it's my DDs 25th b-day
and she gets to choose) we'll be at DHS. Afterward we'll wind down with a couple of days at Kidani overlooking the animals.

It seems like just yesterday we booked this trip but it was really 13 months ago.
Congratulations!! How exciting!
I booked Country Inn & Suites for the 4th.
Does anyone know if we will be able to see any fireworks there or do we need to go somewhere else?
This will be our first time staying prior to a cruise, so we aren't familiar with area and attractions.
I am thinking of booking the Buena Vista Suites for the rest of the time we will be in Orlando (we are planning on driving in on 7/1). Does anyone have any experience with them or have any other suggestions? My DS, who is 7, really wants to do Sea World and Discovery Cove. He also wants to see the Titanic expo thingy and visit the Dinasoar store (in PC area). We are also considering Universal Studios one day.
Are we being too optimistic to fit all this in?
We are trying to keep the pre-cruise stuff more relaxing and as low budget as possible!
We will be staying in Port Canaveral on the 4th, so I can't help you with the fireworks at WDW. I'm sure if you contact the resort, they can fill you in on what will be going on! On a side note, my DS will be almost 8 at cruise time and he would love to make some new friends.
Look forward to seeing you on the cruise!
