Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Eat lots of turkey :thumbsup2

We spent yesterday at Disneyland. The holiday decorations were beautiful!!

my husband and I are also on this cruise. We are so looking forward to experiencing Alaska Disney Style!

I did see a rumor on the Adventures by Disney thread that there may be an add-on for the Alaskan cruise. Boy that would be pricey but the best of both worlds. Our family LOVED our ABD experience.

Welcome aboard! I'm Mary and I'm sailing with my husband Mark (MarkRG). Always great to meet new people!

Very cool and we've always wanted to try ABD but I think this cruise is stretching our budget enough.

I second the Welcome Aboard :woohoo: I'm Teresa, traveling with my hubby Walt, and our sons who will be 20 when we cruise.

I think what we'll do is pick our excursions, add up the cost, and compare to the ABD add on (if there is one). If the incremental cost isn't HORRIBLE we may do it. With four of us cruising we have to watch the excursion costs.

I "third" the welcome aboard! I'm Meg, traveling with husband Joe, our 3 kids (15, 13, 10) and hubby's aunt and uncle.

Would love to do ABD, but can't swing that. We have an idea of the types of excursions we want to do, but I fear it's going to be quite expensive for a family of 5. Joe wants to do a float plane and a helicopter/glacier/dog sled tour. the thought of getting in a helicopter makes me a tad nervous :scared1:

Sorry but i have to ask what is this?

Adventures by Disney's official site

Mostly inclusive guided tours to rather exotic places. :)

Hi Katie18,

Mark is correct. Our ABD tour to Wyoming included lodging, almost all the meals, and guided tours of the area. It was great to see many different sites without worrying about arrangements, what operators had the best excursions, or where is the best place to stay. There is a link to our trip in my signature.

On the ABD DIS board Sayhello has done a review of the ABD add-on to the Disney Med. Cruise. The ABD add-on included a few on-board activities but mostly arranged and handled shore excursions.

Fun to dream!

sorry i been missing in action for a couple of months. i do have a list of people for the FE. Umm i will say lets make the cut off date about 30 days before the cruise date. does that sound good to everyone?:thumbsup2 I will go thru and do an update on the list this week and anyone that wants it can pm me your email address and i will email it to you.

Sounds like a great plan! Thank you for arranging this :goodvibes

I think 30 days out for the FE's is a great plan. Gives everyone time to finish getting things together with plenty of time before the cruise.

Good morning my fellow Alaskan cruisers!

Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday!

Just got back from our Christmas present to each other - a trip to Disneyland. Hadn't been out there since 2005. We had a wonderful time. A lot of firsts for us as in addition to the Holiday Tour we got to do lunch at Club 33 and dinner at Napa Rose.

Now back to work to pay for these vacations - March 6th will be here before we know it! :scared1:

Morning Mary,
Glad you had fun out in Disneyland! We leave for WDW on 12/26 and it is our gift to each other too. We told the boys that Santa will be putting their boarding pass and park hopper tickets in their stocking :santa:

How did you get to dine at Club 33? Was it quite classy?
Loved your pictures!

Sounds like a great gift to me. :santa: Where are you staying?

We have friends who are members at Club 33 and he offered to make the reservation for us. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. Yes it was very classy and I could just picture Walt and his family eating there. It was a busy day in the park and it was nice to be able to spend time in this quieter retreat and enjoy a great meal.
