July 5, 2011 - Mickey's WONDERful Alaskan Adventure

Sounds like a great gift to me. :santa: Where are you staying?

We have friends who are members at Club 33 and he offered to make the reservation for us. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. Yes it was very classy and I could just picture Walt and his family eating there. It was a busy day in the park and it was nice to be able to spend time in this quieter retreat and enjoy a great meal.

We are staying in a 1-BR villa at Wilderness Lodge. We had been wait-listed and were shocked to get in. We love our home resort but are excited to stay somewhere else.

The Member Mixer is at the Contemporary Resort this year. We should be able to go to the last one. I'm curious what will be different.

Wilderness Lodge is beautiful this time of year. Enjoy! I didn't know they moved the Merry Member Mixer. You'll have to tell me about it when you get back. The ornament this year is very cute (got it at Doorway to Dreams).

Terry and I are still here!

Tracy - in case you haven't already done so put us on the FE list.

Will do! Is it a gingerbread Mickey? I saw one somewhere on DIS.

Yeah :woohoo:

Was in Disney world last week, and then drove to Miami to sail on the Celebrity Century for 5 days for a high school reuion. The ship was very much like Disney (in size)but the staff certainly was not. I am used to being wined dined & phamered from Disney. This was not the case. LOL I guess you get what you pay for.

Does anyone know when the tours are offered for our cruise?

Got ya down..

Note to everyone doing the FE..i will need to add stateroom numbers to the list so we know what rooms to take things to so when you know either pm me or list it here. I don't have the list out currently so i know several staterooms are already listed on the list.

Good evening my fellow Alaskan cruisers!

We sail in 29 weeks!

Sorry I was a little late with the countdown this week. :)

Did anyone check out the offerings by ABD for during and before the cruise? I read over them last night and while they have some great things they also have some things that don't interest us. Good thing because I just saw the pricing. :scared1: I still have one more payment left on the cruise and have to book the air. We can't afford these as well. I've heard great things about ABD by they also seem to be way out of our league $$$ wise.

What is ABD?

Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday!

Just got back from our Christmas present to each other - a trip to Disneyland. Hadn't been out there since 2005. We had a wonderful time. A lot of firsts for us as in addition to the Holiday Tour we got to do lunch at Club 33 and dinner at Napa Rose.

Now back to work to pay for these vacations - March 6th will be here before we know it! :scared1:

Where did you find the info? The Disney web site. I'm afraid to look :scared1:

Found it at this thread on the main board http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2614146

YIKES INDEED! No add on for my family....

I saw that one too and the dollars were just too :scared1:

I think the one thing I will be disappointed in DCL in is if having a naturalist on board is only available to those who book through ABD. I think most of the other cruise lines have one on board for at least part of the sailing.

I agree. We booked a three night stay before the cruise in Vancouver before the cruise and it was about $350 a night as I recall for all four of us.

Has anyone seen information about excursions through DCL? I'm thinking the helicopter one will be way out of our price range.

Good morning my fellow Alaskan cruisers!
