Please no flames, I'm just asking a question.

I'm a DVC member staying at the OKW 4th of July week. Normally I couldn't care less about pool hopping, however a friend is staying at the Poly that week and we were thinking of going over to visit her on July 4th and watching the fireworks and Electric Light Parade from the Beach.

If we do this and get there a little early will my boys be allowed to go into the pool for an hour or so? I'm thinking it will give them something to do while we wait and I can visit for awhile. If not, I guess they can spend the time EATING at Capt Cooks. Growing boys are always hungry :D

I'm assuming that Pool hopping will not be allowed at the BoardWalk or Beach Club that week and that's fine but when they do not allow you to pool hop does that mean ALL hotels or just Stormalong Bay and BWV.

Since you're looking at a holiday period, my hunch is that ALL pool hopping will be suspended for that time period.

I think you're right and I expect that it will be 100% suspended. I think I shall plan for using the time before the fireworks by eating either in Ohana's or maybe doing the Luau.

I'm waiting for the July hours to be posted so I can plan accordingly.

Hi Mary Anne!
There is also a small game room, the shops are cool, and sometimes there is an artist doing characatures in the lobby of GCH-a super souvenir! And if you are there early enough..the water sprites may be an option. We also like to take the transport boat ride from Poly to MK to GF and back just for the views. ORRRRR...how about a monorail tour. Our DS loves to hop on/off monorail as we visit shops, or just walk the grounds (and he is 16!). Enjoy..

Last year, we got a notice upon check-in stating:

"Hotel pools may become unavailable from time to time due to capacity limitations. Due to the high occupancy that is expected over the long hoiday weekend (June 29-July 5, 2001*), Disney Vacation Club Members may not "pool hop" during those dates. If you are using the pool at a resort other than the one where you are staying, you may be asked to leave in order to accommadate guests of that resort. (*Other restricted dates may be added based on projected pool capacity.)"

Hope this helps!
