How was your time on Castaway Cay? Any word on the banana boat rides?

Other than a brief thunderstorm CC was great, and the water was very nice temperature wise. No word on the Banana boats.

Wow, sounds like you did indeed have a great time. I can't believe that you were peeling shrimp within 15 minutes of boarding. Doesn't get much better than that. And the upgrade... way to go, that's a great deal. Looking forward to seeing your pics.

Hello!

Thanks for your trippie! Been waiting to read how this year's July 4th sailing was.

We'll be joining you next year on the 4th of July Wonder. Our youngest DD will be turning 5 on July 3, so what a great way to celebrate!

Did they shoot off fireworks just for the 4th? Or was it the regular pirate's night fireworks?

The fireworks were the same as always, but that is because there are Maritime regulations controlling the fireworks at sea.

Had a great time as this was our first Disney cruise. My DH and I took our three grandchildren after 5 days at WDW and then another 3 days at WDW after the cruise.

The kids had a great time at the clubs (we have twin DGDs 3.5 and DGS 5.5).

We did not get off the ship at Nassau (been there before); the kids enjoyed staying onboard in the Mickey pool.

We stayed in a Family Suite, room 8054. Really loved the room and the veranda (used the veranda quite a bit even though it was a three day cruise).

As ICEMANPAD said, there was a brief thunderstorm at CC, but didn't stop anyone from enjoying themselves.

We didn't get a chance to meet with any fellow DVC members.

There is so much to do, you can't possibly do everything in three days, however...hopefully next year we can cruise again (don't tell my DH, he doesn't know it yet ).

As previously stated, the dress attire was casual throughout the entire cruise, so don't worry about getting formally dressed on the last night.
