July 30,2012 - 7 Night Wonder Cruise to Alaska

We have brunch scheduled that day as well. And I agree with you I would rather see some place new than the sit down dinner

Larissa, thanks again for putting the fish extender list together. I noticed that several people did not leave room #'s. Can those missing room #'s post them? Thanks

Are we having any kind of meet up on our cruise? It would be nice to meet all of you :0)

I think we should all meet up on the first day of the cruise in Seattle. We are just getting too excited! Not sure what the weather is going to be like so we don't know what kind of clothes to pack...any insider tips for those of you who have been to Alaska before?:scratchin

Yes the first day in Seattle would be a great time to meet. I have read ppl do it between muster drill and sail away party for like 20 min.

As far as packing, I have been seeing temps around 60-70. I am bringing short sleeves and jeans or capris for most days.

Last year I wore shorts and a t-shirt the whole time. I think I wore a sweater one night. The night of the pirate party I should have worn a sweater- it can get windy. The crew said we had abnormally nice weather, though. My grandma wore a sweater some days.

This is my 3rd Alaskan cruise during this time of year. Once, I wore shorts and t shirts the whole time, last time I was chilly every night and wore many layers. The day at the glacier was also very cold, so prepare for cold, but I would do it with layers cause you never know what you are going to get.

So maybe we should all meet up then right after the muster drill? Would the Promenade lounge be an ok meeting spot? Thanks for the tips about packing! We would have never thought the idea of taking capris. We just thought it would be cold. Can't wait to meet you all! :wave2:

That sounds like a great spot to me! Hope everyone else will come so we can all meet our new sailing buddies :0). Can't wait!!

Hey all......not sure if this has already been asked on our thread, but does anyone know if we will be sailing into Glacier Bay? I know that it's not on our itinerary, but I'd read that Disney bought a few permits to be able to sail into the Park. Anyone heard anything? :confused3

I have no idea. Never heard about this - we did not last year, in fact, we went to Endicott Arm instead of Tracy Arm due to weather.

Thanks, team! See? This is why I love the DIS Boards! :goodvibes

See you all REAL SOON!

I'm getting my FE gifts organized . . . I see 45 participants in 15 staterooms. Does that sound right?

If you look at the link Larissa sent out there are updates on most of the group with names and stateroom numbers! For those going in a day early were at the two week mark tomorrow!!

Just finished wrapping all my Fish Extender gifts! *whew*! No idea how I am going to get them onboard...they fill a laundry hamper...yikes!
The FE List has all the room numbers now.
