July 30, 2010 Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise

We love Palo, we did the brunch last cruise (last Aug) for the first time. My DH LOVED it, I thought it was good but like dinner better. There was a LOT of seafood so if you like that it is a huge plus point, also a good selection of cheeses and other buffet items. There are hot cooked to order items as well which are nice. We will do it again this time if we can get a reservation but I would choose dinner over brunch if I HAD to choose - I am in the minority I think though.

Thanks for the feedback Mel. We will definately want a dinner but will try for brunch too. I love seafood. DH loves cheese. We're sorted then:banana:

How have you been coping with the weather? Which part of NE england are you in? We are from West Yorkshire.

I just booked this cruise and I am soooo excited! I have been dreaming about going to Europe for years and going via a disney cruise allows my husband and I to enjoy it as much as our kids will! I booked a gty 12 which came to $3400 including tax for the 4 of us.:thumbsup2. Going to use skymiles for all 4 of our tickets and this will turn out to be our cheapest vacation yet!

Oh, our cast of characters:

me (35)
Dh (35)
DD (6)
dd (4)
we are from new york.

Welcome to all the new cruisers.:cool1: It will be a great cruise.

I guess the CAT 12's are helping to fill up the ship.

I would be most interested to know how many CAT12 they end up selling, I bet it will be huge.

Lisa

It is good to see lots of new bookings :) I am also really pleased to see quite a few little girls around the same age as my older DD (4 now, will be 5 when we cruise) On our last cruise thread for our August cruise all the kids were quite a lot older but it seems like she will have some little dis friends to meet and play with in the club :)

Welcome to all the new Cruisers.....Since the shore excursions are still not fully published, time to put attention towards buying new clothes.

You know its COLD in FLORIDA when your bird bath has frozen three mornings in a row. Maybe snow flurries on Friday. Are we not the SUNSHINE STATE!:beach:

I feel bad for all you people who are having such odd winters, I am not a winter person and I do not wish it on anyone.

When I was in Miami in November I was in Costco and they had all these fleece PJ's and I could not figure out why they would sell them there. I only let my kids where them when it is below -20c, but I guess you are not used to cold weather.

I will keep my fingers cross that the weather improves.

Can I add us to the cruisers on this one?

There will be 4 of us in 2 x Cat 12. cabins. Me (Sara), DH and my 2 sons (15 & 12 at time of cruise). We are coming down to Dover from Manchester (UK).

Hi people...have spent the last 2 hours reading the thread! wow...I realy should get a life!
Count us in ...We are Me (Maria), DH (David-'Fluffy Bunny'), DD Julianna 16, DD Lucie 14.
This will be our 3rd cruise, although we have already booked Alaska for next summer...that was supposed to be our third cruise...this year we were having a 'wee' holiday in Europe...but when the Cat 12s opened up, it works out much cheaper than an all inclusive week in Spain in a half decent hotel...so DCL 2010 here we come.:)
We are British...well, Scottish Wee you will be pleased to know that I am Scots, but the rest of 'them' are English:laughing:
FEs- we are in. Whatever rules you like.
T-Shirts?
DIS meet?
We will try anything once, or 3 or 4 times if we like it!:woohoo:
Planning to go down to Dover the day before the cruise....Premier Inn all the way baby..:lmao:...then a fewe nights in Barca/Salou ..hit Portaventura..then FleasyJet back. Still to nail all this down, but...well...I have no life...so its all good:lovestruc

Well I am in Maryland which may be considered north of south east (still generally warm -- average temps in 40s this time of year) but be have already been hit in December with 20 inches of snow (schools closed for a week, Federal Governement for one day!) and a few more are predicted for tonight!! I have booked a beach house in the Outer Banks North Carolina for the end of June but am worried that with all the "snow days" my son may still be in school! I will keep my fingers crossed!!

Someone was talking about cruise clothes -- I agree it is time to go shopping but with all the cold weather I am afraid to try on anything --- all that winter fat:scared1: I did go looking for formal dresses after New Years but nothing jumped out at me so it may be my old standard -- sort of wanted something new -- maybe after "Prom" season! Of course "prom" dresses are not made for an "old" bod like mine!:rotfl:

Take care and keep warm! It seems like all of us are in a deep freeze.

Good Morning:

Temperatures only in the 40's this morning, but we are bracing ourselves for the over night lows and possible snow flurries tomorrow. I am not sure how close you live to the Capitol, but the pictures of The Mall during the holidays covered in snow were beautiful.

Stores in North Florida are already changing their inventory over to Spring. I received a few gift cards for Christmas and would like to pick up a few items for the cruise. I am with you on the dress shopping, wait until the cruise date gets closer.

I have never been to the Outer Banks, but it looks like a great place to visit.

Love my fleece and flannel PJ's. My husband built a nice fire in the fireplace last night in the living room to take the chill off and give the central heat a break. Our goats do not like the cold either...We locked them in the barn with lots of hay to sleep in.

Standing by for snow flurries....

We are only about 30 minutes away from the Capitol. It was nice to have a "white" Christmas for a change. I grew up in Massachussetts and it was always snowing there -- of course I didn't have to shovel then!!:woohoo:

I am with you on the gift cards -- in fact that was all I received -- maybe I am hard to buy for.:lmao:

Scottishwee35

well...person to be exact!:)
on our last cruise i did a 'taste of Scotland ' gift bags as our FE gifts
Little bottles of Malt, shortbread fingers, tablet and McCowans toffee.
Might try that again..:confused3, but replace the Malt with Irn Bru :lovestruc
My mum and brother were with us then, so we had upped the Scottish quota...but hey, why have a heritage and not milk it...
