July 30, 2010 Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise

We are happy to join you all on the 8-day cruise --- and very much looking forward to it. We debated between this cruise and the Baltic, but decided to spend the extra days in London and somewhere else in Europe.... This is our 7th Disney cruise -- the most recent being the Med in 2007 and the Mexican Riveria this past summer. We are a Cat. 4 on the 8th deck.

We are: Marj
Chris (DF)
Katie (DF's Daughter - who will be 13)

We are from the Washington DC area. Glad to meet all of you. We don't know much about the ports - so all information is great.

Welcome! I did Cadiz and Gibraltar on the Transatlantic last year and they were wonderful . . . both very easy to do on your own, too. I'm going to start to research Vigo and Lisbon, but have already looked into Cherbourg to see about seeing Mont St Michel while in Normandy . . .

Well, here was my thinking: book all three and try to get the best first-day pricing . . . then if things aren't good enough financially to do the third, I have until spring of 2010 to cancel and get the deposit back . . . I am trying to keep less emotionally invested in the third until I am sure I can swing it!

Makes sense to me! I'm sure it will be an incredible summer however it turns out.

I think I recognize your username - were you on the last Med cruise for a while but ended up changing sailings?

Exactly -- we were booked on the Aug. 8 Med, but then switched to do the July 28 Med, 5 days in Paris, 5 days at Disneyland Paris, and then back to Barcelona for the TransAtlantic . . .

Yes, I thought so.... I will keep an eye on the price.......:thumbsup2

I couldnt price it up for ONE adult and two kids could I??????????:sad2:

I got a call today from DCL and they do have my SPH room on hold for the July 6th 12 night but after thinking it over I think we will stay with the 8 night, which I was able to get a SPH room also so not worried about that.:goodvibes I kind of like the 8 night ports better.;)
So go with us here.:lmao:

got a Topper!!!:dance3: :cheer2:

I priced it up earlier, not booking as yet, I will wait and see on this one, prorata IMHO the 12 night Blatic seems better value,

Hi, Joann! I hope you and Ken are able to keep this one as a special couple's trip!
Thx!

WEll, 30 years is sort of a miracle with us..........we basically "ran away" to get married and NOONE thought we would last, we were very young (especially me!) I think we need to do something special since we were too tied up with the kids on the 25th.:dance3:

Welcome to all on this thread..........I agree that these ports look really cool........I love the European coastal cities!!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

That is a very romantic and very inspiring story, JoAnn, congrats again.

We are in a SPH room for this cruise. Is anyone else in one? Wonder if there is then you could be near us.

We are in 5520 . . .

Hey we are in 5524, just one door down from you all. We hae a 5520 on hold for the 12 night for July 6th, but will do this cruise for sure and wish we could do both and are trying to think how that could work out but I don't think so. To much time away from work.LOL
But I like this cruise and ports with this 8 night so I am happy with 5524! I have always stayed before in a Cat 6 or Cat 5 and like to stay on the mid decks so I think SPH is the best deal if you can get them.:)
We are going on a Disney Eastern cruise this Aug and booked two rooms a Cat 7 and a Cat 11 since my mom is coming with us so that will be fun to see how the Cat 7's are different from the Cat 6 and Cat 5.
I have a sidewise Cat 11 on hold for my DH mom and dad that is right across from your room of 5520. So you will be close to us all. Hope that is ok.LOL
