July 28, 2012- MAGIC- NYC TO BAHAMAS

90 days baby! We booked a Palo brunch, Blue Lagoon beach ( I have heard great things about this especially the inflatables). I gotta wear out those 13 year olds! We are taking an 8:45 bus to Magic Kingdom. I was surprised we did not have to book a return bus...I didn't miss it did I? I can imagine MANY people would want to catch the last few buses...everyone may be fighting to get back on time. I have many FE ideas...not acting on them until after the deadline in June! Now I gotta book our Mega bus tix to get to NYC!

Just finished booking and thought I'd post the bus times for the WDW day:

Magic Kingdom: 6:30am, 7:15am, 7:45am, 8:15am, 8:45am, 9:15am, 9:45am, 10:15am, 12:45pm

Epcot: 7:15am, 8:15am, 9:15am, 9:45am, 12:45pm

Hollywood Studios: 7:15am, 8:15am, 9:15am, 9:45am

Animal Kingdom: 7:15am, 8:15am, 9:15am

Thanks Jenny!!! I hope to get one of the early ones to MK at my 75 days mark!! "fingers crossed"

From what I hear, the return buses will start at 3:30p and you catch one when you do. Will probably make a loop to a couple parks before heading out. I know we will not last the whole day, and will not even try! Rather go early and get back early!

hope everyone gets the excursions you want. We were able to get Palo tea and since they are going to discontinue it and it is a shame they are- you should get it if you can, It is a nice diversion

One of the last sailings!! Lucked out there.
What is the difference between brunch and tea? last morning vs. afternoon? What is the up charge? I doubt I will be doing any Palo ressies, just more out of a curiousity.

You're welcome... and I hope you do too! We decided to book the 7:15am as dd2 said the new space mountain is definitely the "must do" this trip and fast passes went quickly when she was there in April. I'm sure I will crash by mid-afternoon!

We booked a tea for the same reason, although having never done it, I probably wouldn't miss it. I'd just like to be able to try it since we have the chance.

Brunch is lots of food... breads, pastries, cheeses, seafood, desserts, hot breakfast items like pancakes, eggs, and omelets, and hot entree items like chicken parm, veal saltimbocca, upscale pizzas, etc. It's set up like a buffet with the entree items brought by your server. $20/person. The first time was 10 or 10:30am. We booked 11:30am and the reservation says it goes to 1:30pm.

Tea is tea, finger sandwiches, scones, desserts. The only time available for us was 3pm, and our reservation says it goes to 4pm. The price used to be $5/person, then it went up to $10 and then $15, which is why a lot of people now think it's not worth it (for $5 more you get a lot more food at brunch or dinner), and probably pne of the reasons why they are discontinuing it. However, the price listed on our reservation says "$0.00", so I have no idea!

Thanks for the info. Definitely think I will be skipping those 'specials'. I gave my parents the option of going alone, (the other two adults) but they want to spend time as a family as well. I'll take my alone time to dance my booty off at night.

Check-in went very smoothly this morning. We got all of our first picks, including the 6:30 AM bus to MK for the xtra magical hour. The only thing I couldn't book was the bike/float/snorkel package @CC for my 2 teens because it wanted an adult to book. I will wait until we get on board to ask GS about that.

FYI, if your booking window is open and you're looking for a cabana, #20 on serenity bay is available.

So my 75 mark is fast approaching (5/14).
Quick question to those that have already booked. I know one thing opens at 12am EST and another at 3am EST. Which is first?? On-line check in or booking shore excursions???

I just want to have all my ducks in a row when my alarm goes off to wake me up...twice!

Port adventures/Adult dining/Spa/Nursery are all midnight. Online booking is 3am. When you select an activity, confirm it before you go onto the next thing. (When you originally select it, it goes into your "cart". You can keep doing this and confirm with a button to the right all at once, when everything is in your cart, or confirm each separately.) If you have cabins linked together (I believe less than 5), you just need to go into one reservation and can do everyone at once. IE, if you click on "fishing trip", all 8 people's names are listed, and you just click the ones that are going fishing.

For your online check-in, you might be able to go in now and start inputting addresses, passport numbers, etc, and just not be able to access the final check in screen with port arrival time. I had a lot of info filled in already, but I'm not sure if I'd gone in sometime over the past year and added it, or if it was already on file from our previous cruises.

Thanks. My TA updated most of the information (addresses and such). Just want to make sure I am ready to get the earliest arrival time possible!

I highly suggest going into the planning section and save the port adventures that you are looking to book in your favorites so that you aren't searching the entire list at midnight. They will be starred in the list so that they stand out. Start with the day that is most important and work your way to the least important day. SAVE your confirmation emails in case the reservation "disappears".

Thanks for the tip! Only booking a bus to MK on Aug 2. Not planning on anything in Nassau, and for CC maybe just a float rental which I have a feeling is not an issue

Hi, all! :) I didn't realize it had been so long since I had been on here!

We booked a dinner at Palo's for our 12th Anniversary- July 29th, a brunch at Palo's, the dolphin encounter at Atlantis (my 4 year old niece is coming, so we couldn't do the swims), and parasailing at Castaway Cay.

But, GULP! We don't have a bus for the Magic Kingdom reserved. At the 180 day mark, I did book a dinner at the castle for us for that evening. It's not a BIG deal to us if we get there super early, but should we have booked a bus?

We have a 1 bedroom suite, and the concierge people didn't mention anything about a bus reservation when I called to book everything else.

This is our first Disney cruise (we've done 2 Holland America cruises, 1 Carnival, and 3 Royal Caribbean cruises before), and I'm hoping that I didn't just make a big boo-boo by not reserving that! EEP!

You need to book the bus there so that you get a seat. You don't book a bus back. I have the first bus at 6:30 so that we can get there for the magical hour.

I wanted to do that, but got overruled by the other adults in my party. Going to try for the 745 bus. Hope it is still available.
