Got to the DCL site and log into your reservation. Choose the bus to the park you want to go to first as an activity on the PC day, the same as other port adventure reservations.

Got it figured out! I called the concierge line today and talked with them. We ended up opting for the Disney with Young Kids tour. We meet on the ship at 7:00 and then go through customs and take our bus out. Has anyone else ever done that tour?

All those tours are new for these NYC sailings. The only feedback you will receive is if anyone does that tour on a sailing prior to ours.

I plan on wearing a black cocktail dress. My niece has a nice dressy dress to wear. My nephews are a pain and are not a fan of collared shirts. I will try to get them into sweater vests w/ tshirts underneath and pants.

Pirate night.. the kids will be wearing hats and eye patches. I found shorts w/ skulls/crossbones for the boys. I will probably just wear whatever and the supplied bandana on my head.

Are there any other themed nights other than pirate night?

And does anyone know how many formal nights there are? Just one? Two? I know sometimes on other cruise lines the longer cruises have had 2 formal nights.

Formal night will be Sunday night (I believe). Pirate night is Tuesday night. There maybe be a semi-formal night as well. I think I saw that somewhere but I am not sure.

That does not include the formal/semi formal nights. Based on the 7 night cruises there is one of each. I believe that is where I got the info re: a formal/semi formal night. The formal would be the first at sea night and the semi would be Fri night. (for our sailing!)

On 8-night Bahamas cruise out of New York City departing Friday or
Saturday:
*Nights 1, 3, 5, 6, & 8: cruise casual
*Night 2: "formal night" - formal wear for men: tuxedo or suit; for
women: gown or dress
*Night 4: pirate night with deck party - cruise casual or bring your
best pirate outfit!
*Night 7: "semi-formal night" - semi-formal wear for men: suit/jacket;
for women: dress or pantsuit.

looks like I am booking the dophine swim for me and the kids..10, 7 - my 6 year old wants to go too - still deciding what to do...

also going to book bus to animal kingdom...thats what the kids pick

my 10 year old wants to go parasailing - so i am making my sister go with her on Castaway Cay..

So, I'd love a speedwalking/walk-run combo buddy! I'm definitely not going to set any records, but I'd love to participate.

Anyone else in? Just think- you can eat that extra dessert at dinner with zero guilt! LOL! Come on, you know you want to!

I have considered doing it, but after walking to Serenita Beach when we were there in OCt 2010 and nearly collapsing in the heat I have decided to give it a miss! Perhaps it is us soft Europeans! We don't get much heat here!
