July 28, 2007 - Romeancing the Mouse in the Med Cruise Reunion thread!

Noooooooo, Laura . . . you have to do ours . . . .:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Well, Ahem, if I could swing it I would love to do a back to back, Could I? Should I? Dare I? ..........Course I would :lmao: . And I might be able to save up points by then.

Just heard from Sandra & Gerry. They are seriously considering the 18th, too. Come on Laura, isn't Estonia on your to-do list?????:rolleyes1

Actually now it is but Helinski is still up there. Maybe I could send the kids home considering the cruise leaving on the 18th would cover my birthday and you all know I love to sail on my birthday......:rolleyes1

Maybe I can book one on pts although it is not the best use of points, but heck, they have to be used up anyway right?

:rotfl2: What will my home friends think of me - they already tease me and call me "World Traveler" what will they say next......when do I plan on visiting my hometown in 2010?

Did I mention on here (I did on another thread) but DD's new HS principal instituted a study abroad program for Spring Break '09 and they are going.......drum roll please................Spain & France. They land in Madrid, go to Barcelona and to what is essentially a repeat of our Med cruise. They are going to the SISTENE CHAPEL and I managed to talk my way onto the trip so.....I'M GOING BACK TO THE SISTENE CHAPEL but this time I'm going with better lenses. So the regular Med cruises in '10 are out for me but now that you all put it into my head about B2B.......hmm.......I like the idea! :lmao: Now to break the idea to DH - he'll do this: :faint:

OMG Harole Ann! I forgot about that! :lmao: Thanks for the reminder - I just burst out laughing and scared my fur kids to death. :rotfl2:

YIKES! :headache: Just got caught - I have to get off the boards. Sorry - check back in later. Wow - a reunion with all my Med friends......:scratchin - I have got to be on here.

I am so glad to know that you have heard from Sandra and Gerry. I have emailed her several times, sent her a birthday card and no replies. I am glad to know that they are fine and thinking about another Disney Cruise.

Now I really wish I hadn't come on here - you all inplanted the idea in my head and this pit bull isn't very good about letting an idea pass. :rotfl2:

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

You have to sail with the mouse on your b'day. Heck, you can always go to Helsinki. What's in Helsinki anyway? Now Estonia..... ahh.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Suggestions, suggestions,

Funny you should mention that. DH just came home and was asking if I had settled our plans for 2010. I mentioned that our Med cruise from '06 was going on the 18th one and SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE he jokingly said, wow - back to back huh? :rolleyes1 Straight out of the horse's mouth :lmao:

But the plan is working, now to cement it.

I also told him that maybe we can sail on 7/6 just he and I and then the kids can join us. He freaked and said - then how would the kids get there to which I readily came up with a fast answer - maybe his mother (MIL) can escort them to us. (although our oldest DS would then be 24 and our oldest DD would turn 23 on the cruise not to mention my birthday turning 4-:rolleyes1 and our anniversary - yeah its not like they can't read and travel alone right?) I may have to hammer that point home. Oh these next 18+ months is going to be fun! DH's record for holding out seems to be only about 2 months. I have 16+ months to play with. :rotfl2:

I am such an evil person aren't I? :rotfl:

Now that, Laura, sounds like a plan!!!!:worship: :worship:

Wow, decisions, decisions! I'm looking between the July 18th and the July 30th..............leaning towards the July 18th after reading this thread! You guys are too funny, if I go, Laura has to go!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :worship:

This is too crazy if everyone books!!! We're going to have to get those Brits on the ship.......change the school calendar, change the school calendar!!:yay: :yay: :yay: :teacher:

I don't think I can do both, it's just too many summer days away from the beach! Okay, off to mull!pirate:

This is a completely impossible decision.....is anyone booking the 8 night REPO from Dover to Barcelona?:cool1: I'm afraid if I don't book the 12 night Northern Europe trip, I'll regret it.......I think I prefer the other ports (the more southern ones) more and I don't think I want to travel that long..........to do both.........I have to do some research!:confused3

Andrew and I were both talking about booking both the last Baltic and the Dover to Barcelona repo . . . ;)

I was thinking about that one but its only 7 days right? Then I was talking to a friend from the UK and he said that sometimes the weather in those parts do not make a good sailing. The 5 day was a bit rough for Steve and I would hate to be sick. But then again - look at the WBTA - that was smooth as glass remember Julie?

As I said, decisions, decisions and you people aren't making it easy. However, one thing Steve said to do was just book them just in case - we can always cancel later. So before he changes his mind, I am taking his word for it. ;)

Ok, this is killing me, my DH doesn't want to do two back to back in summer......plus, if the kids do come, they'll have to do the July 18th due to school schedules (if they can make it at all), I like some of the 8 day ports but the northern Europe ports look like too good to be true to see so many ports on one trip (and countries), ideally doing both would be too crazy cool....I guess I could book and decide later......or probably do the July 18th or the July 30th? :scared: :scared: :scared: TG, we have to time to think about all this!
