Just to confirm the party interested in the private area of Paloes booking, I am in correspodance with DCL on this, but they cannot confirm until 30 days pre cruise, and you will be booking in two weeks online.

To help I have requested first sea day at 11.30am for brunch/Lunch. 29th.

I finally got a reply (since I emailed two others previously) - they have taxi, vans and busses (up to 54 people).

If you need 3 more bodies to keep costs down on the tours, please let me know- I’m really starting to email and do some searches now- I am waiting for a response from a recommendation from a friend who just got back from Italy and said the private tour guide she had was fantastic and a must with all the crowds. As soon as she contacts me I will post !
I know I’m a broken record..But...I cant believe how expensive these excursions are.... maybe God knew that one day I would be on the Disney Mediterranean Cruise and that is why hew only gave one child0-LOL

I would be so thankful if you could check into the availability of your tours. I am really starting to check into things now. I want to try save as much as I can, but I don’t want to get stuck with a poor tour experience. I heard from the guide my friends used today. A full day private guide and car is 560 euros for our small family. That translates into appprox. $780.00 dollars. I am considering this since my friend said this guide was extremely knowledgeable (PHD) and was able to avoid many lines. So, if I go that way in Rome, I will need to buddy up with another family if possible. When you get a chance I would love to get the info- if your time is limited, send me the info and I will try to get the details- I dont want to put you out- I know how time consuming all this is. Sallie - I have yet to hear/receive a reply from the sardignia website (taxi). Let's see Monday or Tuesday.

I am sure there will be plenty of taxis at the port, I am just worried about getting picked up at beach.

Andrew - do you have any tentative plans for Obia?

I might just try to book the Cinta beach tour for now - I think this will book up fast.

Hi all - have been away but looks like I might be able to take a few breaths before life strikes again - have been away but am back for a few days - have to say it was a little of a relief to forget about the excursions - buy now - I have to start my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice list for excursions - oh well - back to the drawing board. I was at VA Tech this weekend. My DS (this MED trip is his graduation present from HS) will be an incoming freshman at Tech in the Fall. The incoming freshman class had meetings all weekend long. We had such a wonderful weekend and Blacksburg VA is such a sleeply wonderful college town.

So many of my DS friends are there at Tech now. Please pray for all of these families....they just updated this to 25 students dead.

Sorry to pop in on your thread - but disneylover5 my DD will be an incoming freshman at VT this fall also. We were not able to be there this weekend, but this tragedy has hit our househould very hard. We will keep all the families and friends of those killed or wounded in thoughts and prayers.

We're on the 11-night Med Cruise sailing on the 28th July 2007 and also on the Trans-Atlantic Westbound Repo Cruise sailing on the 18th August 2007. Followed by the DVC S.S. Member Cruise 2007 sailing on the 21st October 2007.
