Hi Andrew
To be honest, we are not wanting private tours. The excursions we are hoping to book are mild and only 4-5 hours long. Physically I am not up to alot and I wouldn't want to hold anyone up or indeed let anyone down. If you know what I mean.

Dave and myself are looking forward to chilling out. There are a couple of excursions we would really like to do, but if we cant get them yes I'll be disappointed but we'll just make the most of it.

Its the not knowing thats killing me. I can deal with it if I know!;)

All the best whatever you do.

I am having trouble finding the port departure times on the Cruise Line Website. Does anyone else have trouble finding things on their site?

checking in - made reservations at Sequioia Lodge for our last 1/2 of Paris trip but still nervious and  :scared1: about the excursions - I'm still keeping positive but may end up having to use Andrew's link - (:wave2: Andrew) for a private tour - DH keeps telling me to go ahead and book them but that's easy for him to say - he says do it but then when the bill comes in he'll be doing this: :faint:

Hi I know what you mean - Dave nearly fainted when I costed up so far and we'd spent £1500 (hotels and excursions, if we get what we want :wizard: )and thats without any spending money and not including the flights which we paid for last year!

Still it will be worth it !
;)

Thanks for the thought, Andrew. We are going to stick with Disney, though. For a first visit to Europe we expect to get a sampling at each port and will be happy with that. I also like the idea that I can charge the excusions to our room and not have to worry about bringing cash or worrying about the exchange rates.

I also want to thank you for all the valuable info you've been posting and for keeping the thread current.

Two girls from our HS, Westfield HS, have been hit one is dead. Reema Samaha did not make it though surgury. Below is a picture of her in Arsenic & Old Lace last spring. She is in white, Erin Peterson is reportedly still in surgury. She was shot in the head. Please pray for these families.

I have spent the last few days in total shock and grief. As I am sure most of you know the 2 young ladies from Westfield HS did pass away in the tragedy. Westfield HS was touched a third time. The evil filled murderer turned out to be from Westfield HS as well. How crazy is that?

The family lives about 3/4 of a mile from us. About 10pm Monday night, the FBI, VA State Police and Fairfax County police were everywhere. They closed down the neighborhood and no one really knew what was going on....until the next day when we found out what was happening.

Daniel (my DS17) has not be shaken by this. He is sad. He still wants to go to Tech as much as ever (he starts 8-20-2007...right when we get home from this trip). I am mad his innocence has been taken so young. College and University should be a santuary....especially a school like VA Tech at the edge of the Blue Ridge. It is like a little piece of heaven.

I am so sorry for all the families who can not hug their children or spouses tonight. I feel lucky that I can still hug all three of my children.

Hey DL5, I hear ya! My oldest was at U of Maryland as a Freshman the year of the Sniper. We were petrified............I'm sure the VA Tech will be safer than it's ever been this fall, what a beautiful campus....again, let's keep the families of the survivors and victims in our prayers tonight!!:grouphug:

What's up with the Euro??? Things are not looking good right now! Does this affect private tours? Do you pay American rates or European rates???:confused3

Spring is finally coming around here!!:dance3:

 wow I cant believe its only 100 days !

I remember the sniper like it was yesterday. Those guys were crazy. The Manassas VA shooting was an aquaintence.

9-11 was terrible around here.....we lost 3 local in Centerville that day, one who was a friend from church.

Now VA Tech......you know, it is just not the same world out there.

OMG, sorry, DL5 (remind us of your first name!)....I didn't realize until just now that you are Centerville, VA!!!

WOW!!!

Yes, being a parent of a college student is always a worry but these recent events make it more challenging (although, I'm sure there's always been something to worry about)......my second DD20 is a sophomore at Temple U (in N. Phila)....

On another note..................100 days???? No way!! We are getting so close now.......this is toooooooooo exciting...............

:wave2: all!

This may be going back a ways but did I read here that someone posted that there is a foreign language course that you can download into your ipod for traveling in foreign countries? I just got a new one and for the life of me can't figure out where I may have read this - if anyone has an inkling of what I'm talking about - can you let me know - my kids are looking at me like I'm  (which I probably am but that's besides the point)

ok - thanks!

Hi Everyone,

Okay - as much as I can't wait for this special cruise - our cruise is coming way to fast. Too much going on around here -

Hi Everyone,

I must say whilst I can see the days go, it feels to me to be going slowly. But I agree cannot wait foir cruise.

Hi all,

Have a great weekend:goodvibes

I think overall time is going fast - although to get to 29th April it seems to be dragging a bit ;)

eeyorelvr10 - I dont know if it was me that planted the idea about putting spanish on your ipod. I have bought a couple of phrase books that come with cds. I have put these on my ipod. My favourite one is the DK Eyewitness Spanish phrase book.

I dont about anyone else - but my main thing at the moment, is I really need to lose abit of weight before this cruise:yay: :yay: :rolleyes1
I keep looking @ my wardrobe, I have so many nice summer clothes that would be lovely for the cruise- but they are a size smaller than I am !:sad2: I also keep thinking about the lovely food on the cruise:eek: Its difficult I still have to take it easy after my surgery, but I am managing a bit on my exercise bike.
If I dont do anything else my aim is to do at least 20 mins a day on the bike between now and the sail date!!

Take care
H x
