We'll be at SSR Aug 14-21. It looks like we'll just miss being there together.

We leave tomorrow for a week at my sister's 17 acre horse farm in Virginia. They just bought it in March and this will be our first visit.

When and where will you be Andrew? I think we come home and you will be arriving.

We plan on booking as soon as the airfares come out/open up (or immediately after that). We are looking for non-stop/direct flight either out of JFK or Newark.

This will be by second time at the RPR, its very well located, you can get a boat to the parks but also walk its only 5 mins, next to the rivers.
The RPR, has a long lagoon pool and an interactive water play area like a small ship sinking with water coming out everywhere.

Small beach and a plan, yes a big plane in the lagoon outside the hotel.

The resturant I use is the Islands cafe, it has others, but kids up to 11 have their own buffet section for breakfast and dinner. Also Characters like Scooby doo and flintstones come to dinner some nights.

Rooms are nice, I must say this is Universals take on Disneys polnesian resort.

Parking was limited but to use valet, rather than self park, found the public areas nice and staff very good, but the shops were small.

I like it most for the first in line access, basically your room key acts like a disney fastpass on most rides and you go straight ot the front of the line, A real perk, thats why I am doing Universal first, I think the parks will be more busy at the start of August rather than late, so crowds will not effect me, at Universal gettingon all within 15 mins, and then rest on the Magic then WDW hopfully might have easied off a bit.

Well recommend this resport and book the loewis first card before you go and you can choose a gift like cookies and milk.

The RPR has three main wings but works of a centrasl hub so everything is easy to get to, I paid for a pool view last time but the trees blocked the view so I have a stanard view this time.

Good work on that Spanish---I can't get any further than the baseball field right now and from the looks of things our team might end up playing in Florida the same week of our vacation at Disney!! What a delima!! May just be me, dh and youngest grandson....take one day at a time! We have been on countdown for this trip since it was about 150 days and now we are on day 26! I am about to explode, but I just keep packing--one suitcase for ballfield and another ready for Disney.

Hey all!!! It sounds like many of us have excellent vacations planned for this summer.................make sure you report in with updates (especially DCL updates!!) We will only be visiting with our DISfriends from our West Coast Mexico trip last summer for a long weekend. Many of the group are booked to join us next summer (but they're shy!) I'll work on that during our trip to WDW at the end of the month!!

We are closing in on our one year to go marker.................whooooppppeeee!!!

Im actually really excited today as I picked up my plane tickets and also I had a visit form the UPS man with my DCL tickets !!!



IM so excitied I think I could burst... Just waiting until Thursday and the Disney Amnesty Is over.

Disney amnesty is over


Fot those who don't know , there has been a disney amnesty in my house for the past 4 weeks - I have not been allowed to talk or mention anything 'Disney related' to my DH- He was frightened that the way I was going - he would be sick of Disney before we even got there. !

Thank you so much for all your support. I couldn't of done it with out the Dis!
I am so full of excitement I reckon I could burst!!
