I am trying to get a group brunch together for Sunday 29th, for the Dissers mentioned on post 10 page 1.

I have a Brunch on the Friday 3rd,
Hi Andrew!
I am going to try for the brunches on the days you have-( I don't know why my husband keeps muttering "poor andrew"):rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 I will try on line and if not I will have jimmy run to the desk as soon as we board.I'm really starting to get excited-!! :yay: :yay:
I purposely booked the Parlemo excursion because it was a half day, and I'm a little concerned we are going to be wiped out and not enjoy the boat when we are on it. It sounds like fun..

How do I find the thread without the link? I went looking w/my daughter after registering her and could not find it. Only through link.

Okay, I have no idea what happened. I did not realize that the thread started was on the first thread of the disboards where you don't need to register.

I registered my dd under my dh's screen name and gave her a disname mariaaa.

Now I see that when I go on here (under my screen name of course), her disname shows up and ? What happened?

How do I delete her dis/username?

This is AnnaS

If you change your diss preferences under user cp to subscribe to each thread as you post on it, afterwards a quick way to find all your threads will be to go to quick links and subsrcribed threads I do that each day

We have three sea days I am having a rest a week before in Barcelona with nothing to intensive planned, I cut the Palmero one to a half day to ensure rest time and no overload.

For Palo's try again at 75 days.

With my BP I am being good currently

I need to lose like 40 pounds but will settle for 15. My husband said 10 will do. I already started buying close for the cruise:banana: so I'm getting really excited. I've been exercising at least 5 times a week :yay: for the past 12 weeks, but not doing good on the eating part except where my husband has been slowing removing sugars and carbs from the house. I'm going nuts. No more night time snacks:mad: Ok, I guess I really need to start making some good food choices and need a good food choice buddy:teacher:

Hi all - ok - finally got on and soon it'll be time to get off. OK -here's the lowdown:

I am - OK - will be 41 on the ship. (July 23). For the last 14 years I have been overweight- tried various ways of losing weight from Nutri-system, Weight Watchers and even working out. I am currently ( and :guilty: ok here goes people - I figure I must be truthful in order to get this to work right - so GULP - here goes - I am 183 lbs

I have been working out for 3 weeks and managed to lose and gain back the same 1 lb. I am now 182 lbs but am having trouble losing weight - I have however managed to lose weight in my face and 1 1/4 inches in my hips. I am closer to 5'4" than 5' 3 3/4 inches so that's what I say - I'm 5'4" tall. LOL - I weighed in today and my measurements were screwed up 3 weeks ago so I had to start all over again. However, I can tell that while I didn't lose weight I have started to re-arrange - which is really what I would dearly love. I have increased my stamina and am slowly making changes in my lifestyle which I hope to make permanent.

My mistake in the past was to think that I could do this alone - I am notoriously a loner and while charming, witty and loveable (:rotfl: :rotfl2: ) here - I am notoriously shy in person) here on the DIS - I am however, also working on that. I love to type and as you can tell - I can go on forever. So sorry! OK - I started out not being able to do anything other than walk on a treadmill - had been doing that for years but to no avail. Then I was forced to go on the stairmaster - and while I hated it at first - have slowly started to realize - this is burning more calories than the walking. I started out being able to do only 5 minutes at a time -I would stop and get back on. I am now up to 35 - 40 minutes mostly at level 3 but occasionally going down to 2 and 1 as a warm-up and cool-down. My trainer would like for me to alternate between the stairmaster and the elliptical machine. I haven't tried that one yet. I am showing early signs of arthritis ( well ok - not that early :thumbsup2 ) so I must be careful with weights as I work out in the morning and I am not at all a mornig person.

In the eternal words of Gloria Gaynor - I love the nightlife ( :rolleyes1 ) and suffer from insomnia since forever. I have noticed a difference in my stamina and having starting to reap the rewards as people are noticing - and remember - I haven't really lost any weight - plus my doggies are loving me as I take them for a walk on my non-gym days - 1/2 hr walk 3-4 times a week. I still struggle with increasing my water intake but I'm working on that. Yesterday was the first time since I was 5 that I had oatmeal for a meal ( YUCK :scared: ) but guess what? I was able to tolerate it. Oh yeah, I am learning to eat breakfast within 1 hr of getting up. I am slowly integrating these changes in the hopes that they stick forever. I am modifying my way of thinking and realize that while I may not be able to stick to my word myself, having to report or talk with others about my struggles - I find my inner strength. And whatever doesn't kill you - will make you stronger.

Ok warned you all that I can write - that's about it for now - I intend to increase my cardio to some type of activity for 5 days a week in the hopes that I can fit into my white Grecian-type formal dress in July - I love the color white! However, white doesn't like me - I tend to dirty it.

If anyone would like to hear what my trainer recommends - let me know - if I can save you any $$ - I'm all for that. I am a member of 24 hr Fitness and have been for 3 years but not always an actively going member until DD 14 started showing great signs and shamed me to the core. Hence the big move to lose or at least tone up. Remember folks the price of a trainer out here in CA is now about $65 a session and that's only if you buy in packs of 10, 20 or 30. Our trainer is a master trainer and so I am paying the price. If I can help anyone out - just let me know. We can be there for each other. Take care for now. Oh yeah - Tuesdays and Thursdays are my morning workout session and in the afternoon I do cardio while DD14 does her cardio. I'm so proud of her - she really has been working hard for about 2 1/2 months now and it shows. I HOWEVER do not think it fair - how she loses weight just by thinking about it- if I could do that - I would be non-existent already - :rotfl: .

OK that's my story - anyone else game? Type on!:thumbsup2

Hi Kyla - I'm a bread person and grew up on corn tortillas - I was naturally thin up until 14 years ago - I discovered something that my trainer says is good if it can hold you over. I corn tortilla and 1 slice of turkey like from Oscar Meyer warmed up over the griddle can hold me over for a couple of hours and is a great protein solution. The corn torillas is about 70 calories with 10 from fat and the turkey slice (round type) is usually from 30-35 calories with 15 calories from fat or 0 calories depending on the maker - Butterball if you can find it contains 0 calories. Anyway, total calories is 100 calories and 25 from fat but the protein in the turkey is a good holdover until you can get a more decent meal. I just warm up the tortilla in a griddle and also warm the turkey slice - its quick, easy and easy to count. I eat one just before I work out with or w/o a yogurt depending on how I feel.

Do you have any suggestions - my food Nazi watches everything I bring into the house and she's been my conscience. I too agree witu you - and Mrs. Jobba1 - its not fair that men can lose it faster - we have to work harder. So unfair! :confused3

If anyone else has any suggestions, toss them in the ring - Oh yeah - one major FYI about me? I rarely cook - I don't like a lot of beef - prefer chicken, and lately like veggies alot.

Laura, I am so with you.

I have always been kinda pooh sized. Although with Weightwatchers and regualar excercise 8 years ago I managed to lose just over 50 lbs for my wedding.

However since then it has crept back on, although being unable to excerise has been part of it. My lower discs in my back have degenerated, infact on Castaway Cay Aug 2005 I had a disc rupture (nightmare). Since then I have had weekly physio and acupuncture. Thankfully I am now returning to as near normal mobilty as I can hope for. The more weight I can lose will mean the less my poor back has to carry around.

I am watching what I eat, but my goal is to try and do my exercise bike everyday. ( I have a recumberent one so that it does not put stress on my lower back.
I have just finished this mornings session:goodvibes

Whilst looking @ the 12 weeks, I am taking it 1 day at a time.

I do love my food though:flower3

Hi all,

Just when I said I wasn't going to book any spa treatments...

DH is doing the Kayak excursion in Sardina, and this afternoon I was just wondering if there was any availablity for a spa treatment whilst he was away. I quite fancied the idea of a facial. Well I ended up booking the alone time @ the spa villa. I read some reports and thought it sounded wonderful. I dont normally spend that much but it just so happened to be the same price as DH's excursions so I thought it was meant to be :cloud9:

Got for it!

Sorry to say still bad, thanks for asking.

Liked the reminder of the cakes at afternoon tea on the other thread, bet doc says no!

Thats too bad.

I think I'll see if there are any spaces for tea @the 75 day mark - I think thats May 14th?

Okay, I tried one more time to get a spa reservation and no luck.

I finally took called dcl and was told that I cannot reserve over the phone. She told me to try deleting my cookies and folders or something (which I have done already for other reasons). She also suggested that I try from another computer/laptop. The only other option was on the ship. I will try again later from my son's laptop.

If not good - will give up for now.

Hope everyone is well.

I have to laugh Andrew :lmao: - now you are getting all technical on me ;)

I really just do basics here. I even tried what you mentioned earlier w/quick links, etc.

My dd and I finally went to my favorites and when the disboards pop up - to log out and then delete from my favorites. We then went back on to disboards and logged in w/my user name and then re-added to my favorites and it seems to be working - I think I understand what we did -

did I give you an additional headache :confused3 - seriously - feel better - does a dark room help some?

Andrew- My husband had high blood pressure last year on and off.. his doctor put him on medication after a few months- he didnt want to go on meds, but he did (his father had a bad heart), anyway- it brought it under control, and he is no loner on it He was borderline though, it was never very high
He said to tell you... isnt it strange how you developed HBP soon after booking excursions with me.... he says Im giving it to you all the way across the Atlantic Ocean.. he thinks hes so funny:mad:
Seriously, take it easy, watch your diet/salt etc. - you have to be 100% in less than 87 days!!!!!
