Talking about saftey, the local murder last weekend near my work, was in the National press yesterday, a 30 year old man???? Terrible.

Evening all,

Andrew, I've got my fingers and toes x for the brunch!

Like you Andrew - I am trying to cut back on the amount of time I am spending on the computer -my back suffers when I am on alot.

I have been out shopping again - I really need to get a grip, but I cant resist a bargin -so far I have bought 7 new pairs of sandals - I am busy trying to break them in and decide which ones to take on the cruise. (Its a good job Daves away )

I also got a strippy red and white vest top - to wear on pirate night -so I think Im sort Joann

I just got a shock, well a fright anyhow - IM not keen on having my phototaken - Dave and I are normally the couple rushing past everyone in the embarkation photo line. Well at the weekend there was a pro photographer @ the dog competition. He put his photos on the web today. There are some good ones of the dogs and ARGHHHHHHH There I am standing with Floss. Iam wet (rain) hair all aover the place - Floss looks good though.

Stephen (Steven) is a boy scout, he is young so they call it cubs now and he is off to camp all this weekend.

And its going to rain!!!!!(again) it called. THE 'WIMBLEDON'EFFECT, too many tennis balls in south London warm up the ozone layer, and clouds form with lots of rain, as soon as Wimbledon is finished we Will Be back to a heatwave until September.

I remember those days when DS was a Cub scout. I was a Den mother for the Wolf & Bear Dens and DH was a Webelos leader. Then we both went on to Boy scouts and we still do merit badges for the scouts. Do they use the same terms across the pond? Those were great years, enjoy them.

Great picture! You look fine (allthough we are so hard on ourselves). Your dog does look like a what I would think a Floss(ie) looks like so you picked a great name!
Yes, the weather has been yuckey hasn't it. We've heard about it here on our news. Athough DD did say the weather in London yesterday was sunny but cool. Are you sure it's summer there?

Well we had the June/July weather in March April so there is logic to it, just wait to the outcry mid July in the heatwave saying there is going to be a hosepipe ban!

Floss does look wonderful, but so do you, Helen -- you look intensely concentrated on something you really enjoy, and that's one of the best experiences in life. Some people refer to it as being "in flow" - so engrossed in something that you lose track of time and everything else. You must have a great time with your dogs and the people you meet at these competitions.

I keep popping on while i grade papers and do some mid-terms. Great picture Helen - I agree - you look very concentrated!!

I was also a cub scout and webelos leader - it was fun. But, my sons are no longer in scouts. A great program but difficult for them to stay in when we moved twice in 1 year - they talk about picking it up again - but there are so many great activities for kids to get involved in, have to pick and chose. We'll see.

Andrew- I didn't hear about the murder. Not to be gruesome, but what happened?

I also noticed there is lots of flooding down in FormerCPer's neck of the woods. Hope they are all well.

We are enjoying beautiful weather in MT. I'm actually hoping it gets a bit hotter early next week. I will have family in town, we want to float the rivers and we will be going to Yellowstone - always a touch cooler there.

Just dont mentions M&S to me - I still haven't got all my money back they took out of my bank! I wrote to them Monday and added this paragraph that my brother who is a solicitor suggested..

I acknowledge the receipt of the cheque in the sum of £47on account of the sum outstanding. The sum now owing is £69. Unless we can resolve the matter amicably in 7 days, then I feel I have no alternative but to issue proceedings in Sunderland County Court for the sum due. Which will be served upon your registered office in due course.

There was a group of people leaving a local night club, a fight disagreement started, the brother of the man who was murdered was involved, so this man went back to help out his brother and was attacked.

No weapons at all, he was taken to hospital and died later, He was to get married later this year.

Why???
