they help to locate your cabin upon those memory lapses or after returning from an all day hot excursions!

::yes::

2 Hot to Handle - I think it's a winner, too! Think we can get this on our tee shirt?

:rotfl2:

Congrats on the new tag!

 :dancer:

I have one of each and both of them went through their "alien" stage. During their teen/late teen years, I really felt like I was living with aliens. They did start to become human again, eventually, and right now I actually LIKE them. Stick with it and eventually it will get better. Anna put it a lot better than I could. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Maryann[/QUOTE]

Good Maryann - gives us hope!

How do you secure the fish extender???????????? It's a shame that we have to worry about them "swimming away" but I can see that it could be a problem.

Julie bring one of those ziplock ties you can find at Home Depot or Lowe's or some kind of constuctions. Sometimes you see them in the clothing stores such as Kohl's when they tie the shoes together? They have a cloudy plastic look to them. They're super lightweight and usually come in a huge pile. If worse comes to worse, I will being some and post outside my cabin on deck 2 - let me double check with DH - I may have cleaned him out on our last cruise! :)

Ok, didn't I, in a moment of weakness a few posts back actually say that I LIKE my DS?

DS & DD left yesterday for a 2 week tour of England, Ireland, & Scotland, and being the nice mom that I am, I decided to do DS's wash so his hamper would be clean when he got home. Well, after picking off 5000 pieces of tissues off his clothes, I take it back!!!!!!!!

Surprise MOM! I do that too you should see the screaming shrew I become then - one of my pet peeves! Dh say that I should clean out all the pockets - so whenever I find money in the dryer and they want it back I say - you should have cleaned out your pockets. Course DH also does this: :duck:

Think I'll go shopping!

I didn't want to go but since I'm watching my niece and nephew - suddenly - that looks better than sitting here. My bad!

I can't seem to catch Doctor Who here on BBC. It's on at strange times for my schedule. I've seen the previews though and it looks great.

We recently caught Robin Hood. It looked really nice and I liked some of the angles they were taking on it. The kids really liked it too, so we bought the first season dvd's. I just don't know how far behind we are to what is shown there. We have to wait till next season for Season two.

OK onto page 675 now.

I know its starting soon on USA Sci Fi channel but is a bit behind at least one million viewers there, BBC America, might show as well, this series is a co production with Canada CBC, so they will have it to.

Series cliff-hanger ends this coming Saturday.

Laura, I can't think of what these would look like (nor do I go to Home Depot or Lowe's!) . . . let me know if you have extra, and if not, I'll figure some other way to make it harder to "lift."

OK - I get what your saying, but you've lost me as to why that was directed at me. I always double check things to make sure the quote comes out ok. However, I have often seen others 'misquote' - so I think what you have written is a good lesson. In fact, the quote you are using isn't from me. It's from someone else, that posted it and missed a [ on the last '/quote' It's easy to do when you are in a hurry, which is why I love that Preview button.

Sorry Carrie - I probably got my person's mixed up - I think I was supposed to address it to Mrs G or someone else - can't remember at the moment - sorry! :lmao: Imagine me giving advice to the expert! You must think me a fool! Just mark me open mouth - insert foot!

My Bad -as the teenagers say! :flower3:

The Red Hot Ladies- I love it! Every time I'm flashing I think of it as a mini- vacation in the tropics!

Happy Anniversary Carrie and John.

Our 23rd anniversay is Saturday. MY DH surprised me with Tickets to see Jimmy Buffet in Atlantic City on Saturday. I can't wait to be be a parrothead for a night.

Sounds like great fun!!

No L''entenc. Parla angles?

Ok English now!!!
Yea, I do English pretty "good"

I think this is what she means:
http://www.9thtee.com/zipties.htm

Can I be of any assistance? :lmao:

:teeth: I just bought a LIME GREEN umbrella outlined in light blue. Figured even if it doesn't rain I can maybe pop it up and use it for the girls to home in on! ;) Ok so I'm weird - and DD has turned into quite the sun freak. She's so fair and someone told her that she'll burn in a matter of minutes and get wrinkled sooner if she isn't super-weary about sun protecton. Hence the crazy attitude in the morning - she won't leave the house w/o sunblock - which really is good but someone so young being super vigilent? I tell you -

We were just at the Dr. and they had this thing playing that was saying how kids actually absorb more uv rays than adults. So kids get more sun damage than we do. So it is more important to cover up and wear sunblock etc, young. And I recall my dermatologist telling me that sun damage can take 10 years to show up. So that sun spot you just got, was from a sun burn or tan 10 to 15 years ago. But once it becomes melanoma (sp?) it can spread quickly and leave you open to other cancers.

UM...yes I have, so lets see:

Yes, they get heavy! DH refused to carry it when it was filled and then sprung a leak and gave him a wet back! (:rotfl2: ) and wet end making for a very tight end (sorry - VERY bad pun on American Football here  )

- if the opening inside the pack is big enough you MIGHT be able to put in ice one cube at a time. But Linens and Things or any bed and home store sells those long ice cubes trays that are made to insert inside bottled water containers. Those will work but again - the bag gets heavy.

I paid about $30 when they first came out - I have seen them on sale for as low as $10 but keep in mind that the straw that allows you to drink can get water stained. No way of clearing out the tube and so they get yucky looking. Absolutely doesn't matter to some but my kids are picky. Also, the plastic stinks in the beginning will tends to make the water stink unless you figure out some way to clean it - maybe with vinegar, chlorine or clorax? But then you have to make sure that its rinsed well.

But then again - ifs its as hot as we think it may be - may be worth the points mentioned above. But if DH doesn't want to wear it - are you prepared too? I wasn't - it lasted about 10 minutes on me. Then back into the closet it went. I gave it away to my BIL about 2 years later. He's an avid hiker and not sure if he used it again. We're not the best of friends.

Hope this helps you in one way or another.

Sorry you had such a bad time with them. I think they have gotten better.

We bought 4 packs. All of the packs at Big 5, Sports Chalet, and Sports Authority have the newer packs that have a wide 3 or 4 inch opening. So you can easily shove ice into them.

The better packs have a padded sculpted back. So if you get wet, it's your sweat. The poorer, cheaper packs, like the ones we bought the kids, don't have any real nice features. And the tubing was a little difficult and we had a leak right out of the house. thankfully I caught it before we left home and was able to fix it. it just wasn't tightened enough.

However, I can say that we say lots of different types of bags, some way better than others. The kids ran us 29.99, and if we use them more, I will upgrade them to better bags. Ours ran 89 and 99. Mine is made for a woman, and his is more generic. I have a pic on my other computer of them wearing them. I will try to post it.

The plastic the bags and tubes are made of don't smell anymore. The clerk told me that used to be an issue. And to dry it I just shoved a kids plastic cup into it and stood them all in the drain rack. Although the instructions said i could refill them 2/3 full and freeze them.

The bite pieces on the camel back is better than the generic ones the kids have. And you can buy extras for the camel back. I didn't see any extra parts for any other brands.

i can see these being useful on trips to any state park, DL or WDW, and any all day excursion. Especially if you are like me and can drink your own swimming pool's worth of water a day.

That's OK - You had me worried though, I had to go back and look at my posts because I was very :confused3. I thought, oh no, now not only does Andrew post in his sleep, but I do too! And w/o even connecting the computer to any sort of power cord or ISP.

I know what you are saying though, it gets hard to follow some threads when someone drops the [. Each time someone new quotes it, it changes who actually said it. So you have no idea who the original person was.

It saw it happen once, and this person kept getting asked questions about the comment. they never replied because really, they weren't the ones that said anything. But they also never stood up and said - I wasn't the one that said that, you might ask....

hey guys! i started my cruise cleaning today. i would say the house is 85% clean now. hopefully i can keep it up so i won't spend hours before the cruise trying to straighten up for the dogsitter.

I started cleaning the house saturday morning. Kids weren't happy with me. But we have shutters all through the house, and it's so sandy and dusty here that they turn icky colored quick. So we had to dust and vacuum everything.

I'm about 95% done, and the other 5% will happen while they are at Gma's.

Of course - you could try to do what we tried. (note the tried).

I broke the house up into 5 days. And the laundry too. So on Monday we clean 2 rooms and do 2 or 3 loads of laundry. I added it to our yahoo calendars so that we all get pop-ups reminding us of the 'meeting'. The goal was that if we stuck to the schedule, we would have a spotless house nearly every day, and free weekends. You just live with the fact that there is always going to be laundry in the hamper, because it's just not the day we do that load. It breaks it down so it's not overwhelming, and the kids know that as soon as they are done, it's play time.

The reason I said tried, was that sports got in the way. It only takes about an hour or two to get it all done each night. But we were getting home from school, running to sports practice, then to tae kwon do, then home to eat. But then it was nearly 9pm. And everyone was pooped. So we started doing it on the weekend again. I hope to get back to each night soon.

Fabulous........tell us how it is when you get back!:dance3:

And here I thought she/he was on Florida coast time... (there is a he fairy, too)

Yeah - didn't you see Santa Clause 2 - The Mollinator! :lmao:

Looks like West coast time, and also she/he took out my English part of my 'Please stand clear of the doors' leaving the Spanish/Hispanic version!!

With an extra piratepirate:

And we are going to Spain!!!!

She must like the language.

Bet the 'he' tag fairy isnt as good looking as the female ones!!

Andrew - are you telling us your not as handsome as you said before? :rolleyes1

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY CARRIE & JOHN. ENJOY!!!!!!

pirate: to say Ditto!

I was going to I'll bring some extra. Someone remind me on the 24th - I leave on the 25th ok? :rotfl2:

Thanks for that link -- now I know what everyone is talking about. Do you just clip them off at the end of the cruise or can they come off and on (you can see how little time I spend bundling electrical cords!)?

Yeah - just bring some small scissors or nail clippers and clip it off. Better save than sorry - also - don't suggest nice posters as I saw one very pretty :tink: poster fly away on the last night. I think we have full kids in the clubs so you might not want to put something out that you can lose.

Later all - I am watching my neice and nephew of 11 and 8 and I don't know what to do with other people's kids. How to distract? Yeah -take them shopping! I think! :wave2:

I can't believe DH and I have just been to our local M & S to get a carrier bag so I can post a photo and can you believe it.......THEY'VE RUN OUT......Southgate must be overrun with DISSERS getting ready for their July 28th Med cruise :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I try and get one at the shop near where I work in the City tomorrow

Hey, I work for M&S and see new green bags yuk!! Lots of people complained about it, don't like the colour:rolleyes1

Andrew , Dave and I are really enjoying the new series on Saturday - I dont like the Master though - he's mean :sad2:
Looks alittle scary to me!! :scared1: :scared:

Hey all - on a dark note - walked into mom's house today - DD wanted to spend some time with her. Usually my mom comes out running to greet us - well all 4'11" of her that is - today she didn't she sent dad to intercept me.

Finally figured out why. DS was in the living room and they were trying to delay me so he can make an escape. :sad1:

Just wondering JoAnn, they do become sensible again right?

Someday, when he becomes sensible again, we'll talk again, I'm sure.

In the meantime, I have to admit - It hurt but such is life right?

BTW, had to leave when I found that out least they see my tears. I have an image to uphold anyway, according to my mom, I'm the strong one.

So I have been repeating that over and over for the last 3 hours.

Wonder if I should put on Gloria Gaynor's I will Survive! :guilty:

sorry that ds is acting crazy. good news is at least he was at your parents house and not running the streets.
