I keep doing that on this old keyboard, being left handed and typing fast 'to' comes out as ''ot', right getting there before left.

Anyway the cruise will be an endurance test, I have been to Rome, Sorrento, Amalfi Nice and Cannes before, ( did Capri but not going back) and I have been to Barcelona before, but all the rest is new, and good history for the kids, in fact a little late for Alice as she did Pompeii in her exam two weeks ago.

Lots of these places are on my doorstep, but I have spent more time in Orlando and Carribean then France and Italy.

Yes, this cruise will be an endurance test . . . my big questions is how much we will be able to enjoy the ship with so much tempting us off it . . . it's going to be a real balancing act to try not to get too worn out to enjoy the experience, while not ending up regretting things not done, either. I don't anticipate a lot of time lounging around reading, that's for sure! I suppose the trick will be to concentrate on what is new and special on this trip for the ship activities.

put 'Down Boy'. ?????

I didn't say that you definitely weren't the others, just that you hadn't yet proven to be . . . go ahead and prove it over time and I'll gladly give you the same compliments as those given to Helen's dogs!

Morning, everyone,

Yesterday, Kelly & I went to a farewell dinner for the nearby Catholic school principal. Kelly was one of the servers, and I was just another attendee. Sr. Ann had served the school for 33 years, and the Sisters of Providence had been involved in the school for over 65 years. With the retirement of Sister Ann, there will be no more Sisters of Providence at the school. There were a lot of alumni in attendance, and it was heartwarming to see how many people the sisters have touched over the years. Sister Ann was instrumental in helping me (in her quiet way) with my faith, and also with my kids when I had them at the school, so I will always will be grateful to her (and I am just one person - she has been there for many). Well, that was my yesterday, and wanted to give a little tribute to Sister Ann. :)

:woohoo: Just booked a private tour of Pisa and Lucca....this means we get to climb the Leaning Tower :cool1: and I booked our tickets for the Leaning Tower as well

Yeaaa!!! Glad your tour came through, Izzi.

Well...

... So I returned an $1800 defective 60" Philips for $1800 less a delivery fee of $100 = and bought a open/damaged box $3900 Epson in 57" size with a 16:9 rectangular screen with an employee discount for $1900! THEN - I found 2 replacement bulbs on eBay for under $100 total ... and a couple dozen printing cartridge packs for 1/4 retail... I bought them all and now have 2 dozen plus packs ... enough to print 1200 prints! ...

So - that's one of my "fun" salvage deals!
That is definitely a coup worthy of note. Congratulations & enjoy. :happytv:

Ok quick update on yesterdays swim meet. Josh scored 3 PB's out of 5 races. As a bit of an incentive I give him £1 for every second of PB he gets at each meet....so last night cost me £8 of PB money. WTG Josh
That is quite an accomplishment! Congratulations to Josh!

Thats so not true, lol its been ages since I got a pirate ;)
Ahhhh.... but we remember - you made quite an impact.

Nice to see you on the thread again, Helen.

Im so tired after the dog comp but we did really well -

Bens team got another PB 18.70 and came 2nd overall

Floss' team won the starters again

:goodvibes
Great news & thank you for sharing the action shots of your dogs. They were great & interesting to see. There seems to be a lot of preparation for these events.

Glue Mickey ears to the propeller hat!!!!!!!!!!!! BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to see this!

Hi I emailed the NIce tourist office 3 days ago just to ask how easy it was to get from Villefranche to Nice.

I go a pack of leaflets sent Free of charge. Including a map, traintimetable (although it runs out 7th July) info on places of intrest.

this was there website if you want to check it out
http://www.nicetourisme.biz/en/contact.php
Thank you for the info.

It was totally true!!!! Every image was gone and when I checked my user CP it said it couldn't find the banned word "com" from my photobucket dot com links. Then when people would write about welcoming someone it would show up wel***e, etc., etc. It was bizarre but I did confirm with others on the board that it wasn't simply my hallucination.
Yup - they reported this on the host board. The administrators fixed it. (Kind of reminds me of "Clash of the Titans")

I really need this holiday - I know Andrew orderd the excursion kit has anyone else ordered anything?
I ordered a couple of items to be in the room when we arrive. I'd like the kids to be nicely surprised when we arrive:

The Bon Voyage: Leave shore in luxury when you indulge yourself with champagne, petit fours and chocolate strawberries with this opulent selection. Martinelli Sparkling Cider is also available.) I got the one with Sparking Cider. It comes in an ice bucket, nicely chilled. It looked like this back in 2003, could be different now:

I also ordered:
Fruit & Cheese Platter
Whet your appetite with this platter of delicious treats. Choose from a selection of cheeses, crackers and an artful arrangement of fresh fruit.

I don't think that we'll have a chance to eat breakfast when we leave the hotel to go to the ship, and the food will be there while we settle in the cabin.

CONGRATULATIONS!

My birthday is July 16th- my last hurrah before the big 5-0:scared1: I was so excited when I found out Jimmy was getting me the new iphone, but I would rather have my beanie!!!!!

Andrew- are we climbing the tower at Pisa? I think if we are we will all have great place to take off from- I am sewing neck ties onto ALL our beanies so when we hold hands and jump- they will not fly off our heads--- we should have the best view from soaring above...
are you getting that Mary Poppins feeling yet ??????
I told you I was a genius !!
These posts are hilarious! Congratulations on your tag - that one is funny.

Today -

I have my papillon "Sasha" for a little over a year and she is 1 1/2 yrs. old. Training still in progress. We are getting there but slowly. I wish she did not shed also. She is small though - only 10 lbs. and mostly white (sable on face and back near tail.

My ds's girlfriend went into a pet store two nights ago and fell in love with a cocker spaniel and purchased her. She is only three months. Guess who is watching her today while her and my ds are at work til 6 pm? Since she wanted the puppy, she is trying not to leave her home w/her parents or grandparents (rents) too much.

Do I really need this? :scared1: She is adorable but it's just beginning to get easier with mine and now I am babysitting - they have way too much energy for me.
Have fun with the pooches. Your papillon sounds adorable.

Well, I started this post two hours ago, but my ds came home & we were chatting. He's off again (things to do people to see...) so here I am again. :)

Have you guys seen this video about Disney planning -- funny.

Disney Reservations (first-timer) spoof It's pretty funny.

Funny I was saying that on Friday at work. I've NEVER been to Italy or Barcelona or ANY of the places that were going to only this cruise except Monte Carlo. It's funny how we always go long haul and hardly ever go anywhere on our doorstep

If you want to relax, thats the 15 night PC in 2008 with all thoose sea days,
this one you cannot miss anything, there are three sea days to rest.

Yes this is catch up time for Europe, some great places I havent been too, or needed more time to go back to, I did spend 14 nights in Sorrento once, loved that, and after two Carribean trips to Barbados with one day stops, I then booked a two week Christmass there, so if I like a place, I be Back as Arnie would say.

That food all looks very yummy...given that we'll be boarding around lunchtime do you think that they'll have Topsiders buffet going as normal ?

Woof!

Well, don't forget that after this cruise we will head to France for 10 days and then back to the Magic for the repo to the states . . . I think we get 8 or 9 sea days on that one, and 6 in a row crossing the Atlantic! That's one of the reason's why I don't mind missing anything that's not special to the med cruise, because I will have so long on the ship later.

And, down, boy!

Now a few times in the past we have had food in the staeroom on arrival, once it was a gift from DREAMS and KELSIE very nice indeed 2005 repo,

The only thing is you get on and go to Topsiders and will fill up and then go to your room, and the food does get left. There is one thing you will not get short of and thats food.

So I buy myself some wines in advance, it makes it feel a bit 'free' when the server gives it to you and spreads the cost, have a look at some of them at my local Supermarket today, check prices etc.

I just booked piza now after confirming the time we will be there.
