SSHHHHEEEEE's back -

:wave2: Mary Jo - told you I'd be up by 11 - I hve recently discovered the magic of concealer. :rotfl2: Anyway, on to ketchup.

Hey - just a thought but how does Capt NightCrawler sound to anyone? I am TOTALLY OPEN to suggestions on names unless of course the Admiral has already named me? :rolleyes1

:lmao:

Be back after Ketchup!

Lol, concealer is one of my best friends. Have fun w/the ketchup. They were in rare form this morning. :goodvibes

Once again - congrats - you're technically the Sneakiest of SNEAKY Pirates with the 10,000th thread posting! What notoriety!!!

avatar_cheers.gif

Everyone have some rum!!!

:ssst: no one but Lynn, MJ and myself know how :tiptoe: I am - not even MYSELF! :lmao:

But - I will drink the rum if CJS is handing it out - I'll even drink from the same bottle.

Well.... it's been fun visiting and witnessing a spirited sprint for the 10,000the posting! So - with this thought I bid one and all a pleasant good evening from California! AND pleasant days to come as you all wrap up your travel plans for this wonderful voyage to come on the 28th! I gotta get some sleep! = G'nite folks!!!

This one just cracks me up! :rotfl:

Congrats on the massive 10,000 major pirate: and to everyone on this thread for getting us to this historic level!

Thank you me hearties - it was nothing - :lmao: :lmao: - No Really - it was nothing! :rotfl:

You both did very well!

Captain said it all!

Yes Lynn will get a place on the list

Congrats.

Thought four weeks today I will be on my flight to Barcelona.

YEAH! See Lynn - but lets see what you come up with! This is Andrew after all! Although I like Lady Nines....;)

ANDREW!!!! - 4 weeks! I'm excited for you :woohoo: :woohoo:

Morning/Afternoon Andrew..... your countdown thing is starting to make me nervous!!!!! This is what the dinner table looked like last night with Jimmy, Carley and I discussing what we should take..:hyper2: Notice only two heads... Jimmy was just watching us with a glazed look :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yes planning is kicking in now, I have been in contact with DCL a few times this week, on various things

Sometimes the guides have a large umbrella to follow, I am not sure if the propeller hats will not make us stand out a bit too much for the public.

Can I be of any assistance? :lmao:

:teeth: I just bought a LIME GREEN umbrella outlined in light blue. Figured even if it doesn't rain I can maybe pop it up and use it for the girls to home in on! ;) Ok so I'm weird - and DD has turned into quite the sun freak. She's so fair and someone told her that she'll burn in a matter of minutes and get wrinkled sooner if she isn't super-weary about sun protecton. Hence the crazy attitude in the morning - she won't leave the house w/o sunblock - which really is good but someone so young being super vigilent? I tell you -

From East London that would be, ello!

Wow - I can actually :listen: the difference!

OK - I lost a quote - but no one  at me ok - but Andrew - must admit I would never really pay attn to the total post counts but is reaching 10,000 a large milestone? On the ones that I have participated, they have mostly reached that mark. Is it unusual? I have never really paid attn before - guess I have to go back and look.

The long wait is over, we finally know WHO IS OUR PIRATE QUEEN!!! Laura!!!

And WHAT an original post....."go".......what quirky use of language, what creativity, how clever!!!
:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

JKJKJKJKJK.............

Hey - I had to hurry - MJ was on and we all know how fast she is! ;) And two - Lynn was on on the other side of the pond and all I could think of was - oh no - its going to be lost to us again! :rotfl:

No problem.... I will get one for the guide too !!!!!!
I just thought of another great reason we should all wear them..... picture it now....you will all be able to surround me in a circle and tip the top of your heads towards me, sooooo... when I am having a flash, the wind from all the propellers will cool me down..... therefore.... my clothes will stay on... I will stay out of the fountains....and no arrests!!!!:rotfl2:
I know....
I AM A GENIUS !!!

Sallie - Your TOO funny! :lmao: AND DID YOU NOTICE? YOU LOST A TAG BUT SOMETHING EVEN FUNNIER! :lmao: :rotfl2:

In retropsect that was why I quoted you on another one - wanted to ask you if you put it in there or if you had gotten tagged. Never noticed the 3rd quote gone but this is GOOD! :rotfl:

Jo Ann ...
I was hoping you and everyone else would join us..... It would be like sitting on a balmy beach with the cool breezes surrounding me at every turn!!! Come on... dont be a propeller pooper :dance3:

JoAnn - comeon on don't be a PROPELLER POOPER! :rotfl:

Ok- serious question.. does anyone have those hydration backpacks I've been looking- its a backpack with a water storage bag, and a long straw thing. Jimmy says it will be too heavy to carry, and the water has no way of keeping cool... If anyone has one or has tried one, please let me know if it is worth the expense and the weight. thanks:thumbsup2

UM...yes I have, so lets see:

Yes, they get heavy! DH refused to carry it when it was filled and then sprung a leak and gave him a wet back! (:rotfl2: ) and wet end making for a very tight end (sorry - VERY bad pun on American Football here  )

- if the opening inside the pack is big enough you MIGHT be able to put in ice one cube at a time. But Linens and Things or any bed and home store sells those long ice cubes trays that are made to insert inside bottled water containers. Those will work but again - the bag gets heavy.

I paid about $30 when they first came out - I have seen them on sale for as low as $10 but keep in mind that the straw that allows you to drink can get water stained. No way of clearing out the tube and so they get yucky looking. Absolutely doesn't matter to some but my kids are picky. Also, the plastic stinks in the beginning will tends to make the water stink unless you figure out some way to clean it - maybe with vinegar, chlorine or clorax? But then you have to make sure that its rinsed well.

But then again - ifs its as hot as we think it may be - may be worth the points mentioned above. But if DH doesn't want to wear it - are you prepared too? I wasn't - it lasted about 10 minutes on me. Then back into the closet it went. I gave it away to my BIL about 2 years later. He's an avid hiker and not sure if he used it again. We're not the best of friends.

Hope this helps you in one way or another.

Shes on four possibly five tours with us and at Dinner, in her propeller hat! at least if the air con breaks down we get a draft!

Not if Sallie hogs it all! :lmao:

Im going on the site to check that out !! Thanks !!!

Dont forget.... I will also be sitting right next to you on the lounge chairs while relaxing in the sun, in the theater, in the bars, in the shops, on the paddle board court, in the pool, at the snack bars, yep....... youre stuck with me and my family.... hummmmmm..... maybe the cabin right next to yours is still available... I will check that out too!!!! :upsidedow :woohoo:  :cutie: :upsidedow

HHHMMM.....the possibility of a flashing stalker......NO Wait - if you wear the hat Andrew - no Flashign Stalker. Just a plain Stalker. :rotfl2:

Sorry Sallie - I  You - just joshing you!

hey guys! i started my cruise cleaning today. i would say the house is 85% clean now. hopefully i can keep it up so i won't spend hours before the cruise trying to straighten up for the dogsitter.

OMG!! OMG!!! WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT?????? I MUST HAVE IT IN MY SIGNATURE!!!!!! CAPTAIN CRASH HAS NOTHING ON YOU

OH SALLIE! :scared1: You just started a war! :lmao:

I knew I liked that Pope!!!!:

:rotfl2:

Is it just me??...

I can see you're mentally preparing on your particular hat gear when you go on excursions w/Sallie & family

WAY TO GO MJ!

NAW! - Your just funny! :rotfl2:

Truly, I didn't mean to :rotfl2:

MJ - Don't pay him no never mind - :ssst: he's from the other side of the tracks (Brit talk: tracks = pond) and only wants his toy back. "Sides - it'll go back eventually - we must revel in the moment right? :rotfl2:

On the pirate: I have noticed a moral trend in the past awards, anyone, and that is anyone, who tries FLUFF to get a pirate: always gets a lurker who gets the post, or someone, just be luck being there at the right time.

So it proves Fluff, doesn't pay.pirate:

HI everyone, I've been gone for a couple of weeks and the amount of posts is staggering and I don't think I'll get to read them all so if this has been covered already thanks for being patient with me. My question is this, do men and boys have to wear long pants to tour the vatican? Are blue jeans OK?

It's getting exciting now!

Welcome back I think thats OK, long pants, I hadn't thought about jeans the thing I would say is it will be very very hot and maybe some trousers that are lighter to wear would be better, Jeans will sweat allot.

:welcome: back Penny - I was wondering where our Caribbean pirate: was. Figured you were busy. Hope all is well, And I agree with Andrew - jeans while comfortable will be quite hot and sweaty. Perhaps a combo cargo pants/shorts with the ability to allow a choice in case of indecision. PLUS SIDE: the pants usually weigh mere ounces which if DH is a  will allow you to take up some of his space.

haven't asked but if you weren't aware, MrsG started up a questions and answer thread under trip reports, you may be able to post the questions there. If you get any answer, be sure to let us know. I'm curious now too that you asked.

I love Sallies new addition to her tag, I wonder where the Tag Fairy nicked that from?

OK I know that this was asked of you - but this is to :stitch2: (DIS talk for spooky) are you sure your not the TF Andrew? Or closely associated with the entity AKA TF?

If not - then it most definitely must be the accent - 'ello! :thumbsup2

No problem.... I will get one for the guide too !!!!!!

Sallie this solves our broken fountain problem! You are a genius!

Anna-!! Dont you think us New Yorkers ought to stick together- where is your sense of honor???? I expect you and your family front and center with NYC propeller hats, holding a miniature Statue of Liberty, dressed in lime green, and waving at least one roll of TP in the air- :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm right besides you Sallie, toilet roll in hand!

can men wear shorts into the vatican?
Wlcome back Penny. You can see we've been busy.

No, their knees have to be covered too. They can wear longer shorts that cover their knees. And I agree with Andrew. Jeans are going to be terribly warm. They are better off with cotton pants.

Maryann

Thanks MaryAnn and Andrew. You all have been terribly busy while I've been away....don't you have jobs???!!!!!! :surfweb:

Sallie,

I love your new propeller smilie!!!!!!!! Going back to my puppie days, didn't Beanie & Cecil make that popular. I remember having a propeller hat as a kid. This is sooooo funny!!!
